Boxed

We bought a case of tomato sauce among other items. The box looked OK, but when we opened it and removed the cans we were shocked to find that all of the cans were all severely dented! They looked like someone had purposely thrown the carton against a brick wall! As tomatoes are very acidic, we couldn't risk that the inner plating on the cans was compromised. We had to throw out the entire case! Other purchases were OK, but our daughter also had to throw away an entire case of canned goods for the same reason. I just began using Boxed, and my first order got cancelled. I called to find out why, and was able to get ahold of someone right away. They were helpful, informative, and were even able to help me recover rewards that their cancellation caused me to loose on Ibotta, the app I shopped through to get to Boxed. Such an amazing experience, and just for their customer service alone I will be using them for all of my bulk shopping needs!

9/20/2022 For the past several months I've been looking high and low for JIF EXTRA CHUNKY. Not only do most places STILL not have ANY in stock, (including AMAZON, Walmart online, and Costco) those independent sellers such as few on ebay that DO have any are price gouging beyond belief. We go through about 100# of PB around here a year so besides taste price is a factor, and up until the recall its been JIF. We finally ran out of JIF, caved, and bought 20# of SKIPPY about 2 months ago but people have been grumbling ever since the JIF ran out.

A couple days ago I came across BOXED for the second time in as many years, and not only do they have it-in quantity (40oz twin packs), ITS SELLING AT A REASONABLE PRICE!

I immediately ordered 30# last FRIDAY-and it arrived in good shape 4 days later on Monday. Since this was my first order, they even took off 20%.

Now I call that service!

I wasn't sure whether to buy from this site or not because I don't like to use Apple Pay, so I decided to check out the reviews online. All of the positive reviews give 5 stars & rant & rave about how efficient, fast & what a bargain they got. And the bad reviews actually sound like real people who were practically all missing items & didn't hear back from customer service. I've decided I'll spend a little more for my deodorant & NOT get scammed.

I had decided to try Boxed. On my very first order, UPS called me to tell me items had been damaged and things were leaking. She sa8she would return the box to Boxed. I then emailed customer service to tell them the issue. They said that it wasn't their fault because they have no control over what happens to the package after it is shipped. Very true. But, if the items are packaged correctly and caps are checked to be sure they are on tight, then the chance of items being damaged greatly decreases. They claiming responsibility and shoved the blame all on UPS. They did refund my money, but I will not be ordering from them again.

The box commercial says. What the box. As in what the $#*!. And the kids say it. When they delivery truck shows up. What is the thinking going on in this marketing department. This is not funny. Then there were sexual overtones after talking about rockets going to the space. None of this was funny. It was very midnight adult commercial broadcast all in the middle of the day so now kids are going to be walking around talking about what the boxed. The marketing department really missed the mark on this one. What do you think the kids are going to be asking about that phrase. And when other people say it they're going to quickly connect the dot and it won't be long before they start saying what the $#*!. I'm not convinced to use your service based on that commercial. No I'm not going to post a length of it and propagate it further here. You know what commercial I'm talking about.
