I ordered an item for the first time with Borderlinx, and now never again. It takes them 2 days to update that they have even received a parcel, they increase the weight and dimensions, provide only the most expensive delivery method, and unable to re-pack the same even though the website mentions it.
When contacted, they take days and days to respond back! Terrible service!
I used their service 2 years ago to get amazon kindle, it only cost me 12$ back then. Now, i want them to ship a raspberry pi(about same size as kindle), they want to charge me 42$. Plus, they ask 50$ to return the items to amazon.
Long story short, don't use it or you will regret it.
Borderlinx charges a storage fee of $5 PER DAY of your packages after their "free" storage period. The supposed email notification that the package arrived never made it to my inbox. Now I am left with an option of shipping ONE $5 item on a shipping charge of $28. I tried to order a few more items but with shipping times of 9+ days, that's $45 in storage charges.
If you were waiting for multiple packages to arrive to save on costs, and one of them is delayed (beyond their "free" storage period) you are really really screwed.
Never will use this service again. STAY AWAY.
I placed a concierge order that took three e-mails and an online conversation to get a response, which after three weeks was to ask for some ID.
Did that, only to get an e-mail a week later to say the retailer I wanted to buy from (Toys-R-US) will not accept concierge orders (which I don't believe). If this was true, why wasn't it rejected immediately?
An awful level of service to now leave me trying to find an alternative, reliable supplier. I would recommend avoiding Borderlinx at all costs.
I learned the VERY hard way to research your shipping costs with this company. Import to Canada from US is always nasty, but a $1000. 00 item I purchased on eBay ended up costing me an additional $500.00 Cdn just for shipping to Toronto. That is absolutely unacceptable and I would have abandoned the purchase if I had realized the total cost to get the package to Toronto would approach $1000. 00 with duty, tax shipping and insurance (mandatory) Yikes.
To be fair, they do have a shipping calculator that will give the outrageous price before committing, so buyer beware. I would say this service is a last resort when there is no way to get something from one country to another.
Dear Aidan, Many of our customers are unaware that the package size that we receive will affect the shipping cost and is directly proportional. We use DHL express and rates are charged accordingly for prompt and reliable services rendered.

My item was delivered to the German DC on 27/10 (almost 6 weeks ago). After repeated emails and contact saying they would 'get in touch with the warehouse and advise ASAP' they have not located my parcel and have stopped communicating with me entirely. This is the worst mail forwarding company, it's hard to fathom how they are legally trading as a business.

I really should've read reviews about this business. They lure you in with promises of competitive prices and "no big surprises" but they end up screwing you over.
Customer service was terrible. The rep (Jeannina or something), was rude for no reason. She kept being passive-aggressive and copy+pasting the same thing over and over again even if it did not have relevance whatsoever to the issue at hand.
The total shipping cost more than the items to be shipped. Item total cost was $37.59. Total shipping cost from Borderlinx to me? $62.56. Absolutely absurd. And to think the point of choosing a website such as Borderlinx was to lessen the burden of having over-the-top shipping costs.
It takes days before they acknowledge receipt of packages. When a warehouse address is changed, packages are held for weeks. They overcharge for their services. Stay away! There are much better alternatives available.
The idea of borderlinx seemed very good, but it is disgustingly expensive shipping and freight, it does not suit you at all, I make a purchase of 200 usd and the shipping cost me 800 usd, total madness, you are forced to have to give up for "The sending" cause the price is so $#*!ing expensive, i do not recommend this service at all, it sucks
I thought Borderlinx your service was good enough to compare to my old forwarding company, which I left due to some reasons especially the delays. In my case, I already released the shipment last Friday 22-09-2017. And they forward the information of shipment to the DHL Friday 22-09-2017 9:55 PM. I contact the DHL to verify the shipment status they said that the packages are still in the shipper's custody.
I go back to the Borderlinx chat support and asked them why in their system shows that the shipment was already "Handed over to the delivery agent" but the DHL decline the receiving of the packages because it was not yet pick up. Tracking Number is *******200.

Where I live, untracked shipments tend to disappear en-route or arrive months late, so even if a website offers international shipping, if they don't use couriers I prefer to use a forwarder. Borderlinx have never let me down, everything I've shipped through them has arrived in a timely manner and hassle free. I've been using them for years, first for shipment to Singapore and then to where I am now, never had any problems with them.

Worst service ever! Charges 3 times more than any other company, delayed shipments and - they did what no one else in the world did - they will make you pay tax in Saudi! I am from Saudi and we do not pay taxes and when I wrote that to their representative his response was to either pay or I dont get my shipment!
Not to forget, when you go to the final page to pay, Taxes + fuel recharge + many meaningless crap to rip you off will be added.
Stay miles away from this company, it doesnt get any worse!

A lot of US websites only ship in the US. And when you don't live there, you can't buy products you want.

We use DHL express service to ship all your shopping. As such there is a minimum cost which is not based on item price but weight of the package. Please note there is a minimum cost for first half kilo. We advise that you use our online cost calculator prior to shipping for an estimate on the total landing cost. Your standard reply only answer what you are happy with. Can you answer to these questions directly then, instead of just giving a general answer for all the queries?
1) Why is it that the same envelope size received can be packed into 3 different DHL envelope sizes? Isn't there any standard here?
2) Why do is a DHL express envelope cannot be folded used when a DHL flyer envelope which can be folded can also fit the original envelope received?
3) I have 6 envelopes of the same size sent by seller with either one or two 3x4 inch trading card in it, why are they NOT packed into the same DHL envelope type and size? Again, there is no standard here!
Answer directly if you dare! Anyway, I have cleared the items in my suite and will not be using Borderlinx anymore.
Have been using their service for a while. So far, they were good, pretty fast with delivery. It wasn't until one day when I decided to scrutinize on the package size used to repack my package into, that I realised that I have been taken for a ride for way too long! Most of the item I bought (more than 90%) were 3x4 inch basketball trading cards, so usually sellers will send them in 4x7 or 5x7 inch padded envelopes. That is when I realised that I severely overcharged!
The same envelope size received can be packed into as many as 3 different DHL envelopes! 10x1x15,9x1x12,15x1x12. And they used express envelopes when flyer envelopes can also be used! This is because the size of express envelope is bigger and they can charged more based on volumetric weight! Up till today, the replies were nothing but excuses, including they need to use a larged envelope so that the DHL shipping label can be pasted onto it! When asked why 3 different envelope size can be used for the same envelope size received, can give excuses like, the content maybe fragile, need a larger envelope to protect the content, size of envelope used depends on processor, and the envelope received maybe the same, but the content could made it bigger! Come on, they have already opened my packages, and they knew what is inside, and they can still give me these excuses! I sent them videos evidences of me, opening the packages, and now they are dragging their feet to give me a reply. More than 9 days without reply. Nothing but disappointment. Does not know how to handle complaints. Refuse to admit that they are in the wrong when they clearly are. Very poor crisis management.
1. Valued my $40 product at $700 in order to force me to buy their shipping insurance.
2. Overweighed my product not once, but twice. In the end I had to contact the original retailer to verify the true weight with them.
3. Maintained the same shipping fee even after the weight was corrected.
This company is disgusting. They essentially hold your package to ransom and force you to pay exorbitant shipping fees. Avoid at all costs.
The cost of shipping was incredibly expensive! So many hidden charges! The shipping cost more than the item itself. When I took this up with the customer service, everything fell silent, especially when I said I thought they had miscalculated the shipping costs. Anyone would be better off to find another way of buying something from abroad than going through this very, very expensive service.
Dont trust them, I bought something From them 3 months ago and I still havent received anything. I contacted their customer service twice and they did nothing helpful. They make you pay a huge amount of money for shipping and never deliver anything.

I have a bad experience with this provider, (1) Wrong Communication - Said the stuffs was shipped early, but one week later will told me it is not shipped. (2) Shipment fees - I paid twice of the additional shipments, and stuffs are still not shipped. (3) Escalated to their management - no respond and reply.
Still have $800 of dollars of items stuffs with them.
