Complete scam site. Bought loot that only said tip was not included but when I showed up at the salon, they made me pay "tax" The tax was 15% of what I paid for the lifebooker and it was a $200 deal! Stay away. Deals are too good to be true and they are false.
I just had 2 fraudulent transactions on my credit card that I use with Booksy and NOWHERE ELSE. Contacted customer service and they denied that credit card information could be leaked through their platform. So based on the response from customer service, my takeaway is that they've been hacked by either an internal or external entity and they have no clue that's happened.
This company does nothing to protect the consumer.
It's hard to reach them via email or phone and when you do, you receive poor customer service and short responses. I just had someone cut me short to say have a good day and hang up while I was only explaining the issue. I could see if I was heated that might make sense but not at all. They have done nothing to alleviate my issue and only point me toward the business. I guess good for them that they got my money, but I got nothing in return.
Steer clear of Lifebooker and go with more reputable experience flash sites. Lifebooker has much to learn from Groupon and Gilt. They need to screen the businesses that they work with.
I bought a coupon for a new business in NYC, Wanna Glow. It was a new business so the yelp reviews were fine.
Lifebooker must have been the first site that they offered their coupons through because the bad reviews rolled in. It was impossible to get an appointment with them. Then they would schedule an appointment after the "loot" expired and tell you that you had to pay $200 in addition to your loot. What a joke.
I pre-paid a massage from a place called Tranquil Touch in Valley Village, CA. Two months later after repeatedly not getting return calls and having my appointment cancelled on me TWICE at the last minute I finally decided I wanted my money back. I have both emailed and called Lifebooker to complain and attempt to get a refund. To date neither the massage place nor Lifebooker have responded or returned my money! Don't take the risk! Other sites with the same good deals have a better reputation for customer service in instances like this.
My online scheduling site was bought out by brooksey and it's been a disaster. Just when I think something is fixed there is a new issue and I have been getting the run around from customer service for over a month on a basic feature glitch. They offer way to many options and should pair it down and focus on quality.
Just had a fantastic encounter with their online services. I accidentally purchased 2 of the same exact same lifebooker deals (at least i'm consistent?) and it was only for first time customers. I wrote to their online customer service email asking if it was possible for a refund and received an email a few days later saying it would be refunded back to my card without any hassle.
Thank you Janet!
I've had mostly good experiences using Lifebooker. It has helped me find cool new hair salons, spas, etc. at a discount. On a few occasions, I've encountered some less than stellar places, which leads me to believe they don't check out the merchants before signing them on. When I did need to ask for a refund because I couldn't get an appointment using a Loot certificate, they put the money back in my account even though the 24-hour refund period had passed. Stay on the safe side and use Lifebooker to visit businesses you trust.
What a PAIN. The site is so clunky that even after signing up, I was unable to actually confirm my appointment because it won't show where I am supposed to consent to a number of things, including personal data processing. In any case, I notified the person I was trying to do business with by calling to book an appointment. They said will now be looking at using a different platform because I was the second client to inform them of problems using Booksy to make an appointment. Honestly, to me, it looks like it is set up for hacking so you aren't sure if it is legit or not. I've attached screenshots. It doesn't matter if you click "Confirm" because you will keep getting the error message.
They screwed up the name and I have been assured that it cannot be changed. So all of our reminder messages will have the wrong name on them? Seriously? They were the ones who messed it up and now it can never change? Wow.
Getting ahold of anyone for help is impossible. Getting answers is almost impossible. The support videos are a not funny joke. It takes many more keystrokes to enter or look at any information. About the only thing they got right was the database of patient names. But there is no way to access it or export it for use.
I am seriously disappointment. It's been a disaster. Plus it send an email for every schedule change to our CEO and there seems to be no way to shut that off either.
This is a not funny joke.

I had been with Genbook app for over 6 years, they were bought out by Booksy and it has been a nightmare, cannot access my client base or testimonials - so unprofessional and a scam! I am trying to cancel and I can't even do that. My clients can't even book sometimes it comes up error on the mobile.
I asked for a credit - just a credit NOT a refund - for a recently expired deal I had purchased. My 95 yr old mother was very ill and I was the caretaker, she lives in another state. They would not respond to email sent to customer service and forget trying to get someone on the telephone. You'd have a better chance of winning a multi-million dollar state lottery! After sending an email every day for nearly a month and threatening to contact the state attorney general I get a reply saying they don't give refunds. I distinctly did not ask for a refund. I started the email campaign again to no avail. The owner pretends to be the "customer service" supervisor. This ramshackle rip off company actually operates out of an apartment in Brooklyn, NY. And the owner uses the name Brittany. Most of the "deals" are at substandard businesses. Do Not Use Them!
I purchased a 3 day cleanse through Lifebooker today and changed my mind after printing out the voucher. I called customer service and got a refund right away. There customer service was great and I will be ordering from them again :)
The businesses this site works with frequently won't honor the discounted prices. Sometimes they don't even acknowledge appointments made at full price through the site. I have had nothing but bad experiences using this site.
They took over Genbook with a horrible transition and support! We worked very well with Square payment processing and they refuse to connect to Square because they are trying to sell their own! They refuse to respond to our requests for support issues. After waiting two hours to get a person on their support line, she had a baby crying in the background and we could hardly hear her... she said: "too bad, I'm working from home and that is my baby crying, so it is what it is"! And then she put us on hold for 20 minutes to find an answer to our question... just terrible!
If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. Their customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE and the companies they vouch for on their website are just as terrible. I've purchased 3 loots from them and not one has left me happy. I wish I saved that money and spent it on full priced services. I'm not the type to write reviews but I honestly want to save everyone from wasting their money here.
A site similar to groupon, I've used lifebooker to purchase two deals and I'm happy to say they were both hassle-free experiences. One I redeemed with no problems and the other I'm going to use soon. I would use again.
Hold time of 57 minutes to speak to a human regarding any questions. Clients trying to schedule receive an "error" message stating all fields must be filled. Even when all fields are filled. Clients are unable to schedule from a mobile phone unless they download the Booksy app, and then it does not confirm their appointment accurately. Clients trying to schedule with an American Express Card are unable to book an appointment. Once a client has been scheduled, they receive a confirmation message, but the message does not load onto their calendar. Unable to pull testimonials into my wordpress website. 12 years with Genbook with no issues, now there is nothing but problems with Booksy!
I was forced over to Booksy by a purchase by GenBook. I thought about not going and using Acuity instead. But I decided to give it a try. UGH! Takes forever to get technical support. And the videos are clearly aimed at salons and not my type of business, which is alternative medicine. I had been using GenBook for 7+ years. They weren't perfect, but they had excellent customer service.
Perhaps Booksy is okay, but I have no way of knowing without decent tech support.
You can see the photo that I asked a question one afternoon and didn't get a reply. So I put some question marks in twenty minutes ago. NOTHING. Zip. Zero. Nada.
And trying to get signed up for their no-show protection? They keep asking me to do more things, but I don't know what. I've done all they have asked for.
Long time Genbook user, since 2009, Great service. Booksy acquire Genbook it's been a nightmare. Customer Service seems nice enough that's all they are is Customer Service. They can only do as they're told.
I've had multiple phone calls. Multiple chats multiple emails still not fixed. This is a game changer for any one running a business. Mess with someone financially whether intentional or not software And credit card processor is substandard.
Payouts are missing. Complete nightmare complete nightmare accounting!
Answer: You don't have to return it. You just choose not to buy it. They never charge you for loot until you click on "Buy loot".
