Booksi has a rating of 2.1 stars from 185 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Booksi most frequently mention time share, credit card and customer service. Booksi ranks 394th among Travel Deals sites.
After I purchased my discount vacation, I called to book my vacation 2 weeks later and was informed that I would be required to pay a $200 booking fee and attend a timeshare presentation. When I tried to cancel, I was informed that I only had 7 days to cancel. I filed a claim with my Capital 1 Visa card, which was ultimately denied, sticking me with a vacation I cannot use. Since that time, they no longer provide a phone number to their customers, email is the only way to contact them.
PLEASE do not fall for this! Remember, if it is too good to be true, it is NOT true! I'm an idiot and fail for it... "what did I have to lose" I thought, they guaranteed you'd get a full refund if you cancelled within 7 days. WRONG! As soon as I purchased this "AMAZING" deal, I called to schedule my reservation... low and behold, I got put through a crazy and hard to follow sales pitch and before you know it, I was charged double what was advertised. And then, when I tried to get my money back, they refused to return the new charges. They said I could transfer those to another vacation in the future... whereupon I'd likely get charged AGAIN! This is an absolute SCAM! DO NOT FALL FOR IT!
I canceled my reservation 5 minutes after I booked it. Now I have to send a letter for them to cancle it. Absolutely stupid policy. I will never book or recommend this company to anyone. Who knows if you will get the letter in time before the 7 days are up.
Bait and switch. Booked a package at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside (****), and was asked to make "one last phone call" to complete, where I was placed at the Worldmark San Diego Mission Valley (***) and price hiked by $200+ with no way to back out.
Update: Surprise extra fee refunded after I disputed the charge with my credit card provider. Receiving several calls, text messages and emails, offering incentive to remove this review (so they can trick the next person).
I booked first time with Booksi and paid online ($350ish for 5 nights). On trying to set the dates (you'll get email saying not confirmed yet and to call a tel #) they wanted another $168.88 to reserve the dates which I agreed to then they explained that on arrival there is a mandatory 2 hrs presentation... that I refused to do and now I am trying to cancel and get money paid back... not so easy as I have spend the 3rd day trying to call Booksi on tel *******229 and after being on hold for about 1 hrs get disconnected. Pretty much seems impossible to get money back.
In future I'll stick to Travelzoo or another trusted site. I guess if your time means nothing to you and you are okay with losing 2 hrs of your life the rates are cheap
My fiancé and I have tried with 2 different cards to purchase and it keeps declining and saying "over limit". Upset because I wanted to take advantage of the Black Friday deals but I highly doubt booksi will honor those.
I paid booksi and their partner in crime, monster booking, over 3 times the price advertised. Then the reservation was cancelled (the 3rd one cancelled). I am in the process of disputing the charges with my credit card. If that isn't successful, I'm out $1500.00, plus about $500 it cost me to change the airline tickets. I can't say it loud enough, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUNCH..
Absolute scam. Steer clear. Complete bait and switch site. Once you call to confirm your reservation the price doubles. Good luck getting your money back even if you pay the additional "protection fee".
Update #1: This is not a reputable company. After talking with a customer service person, they said there was nothing they could do to get my money back. So, I posted this review and then they immediately refunded my money. Which is great, except now they're asking me to remove my review from this site. Other people need to know that that is is a bait and switch company, and the only way to get your money back is to post a negative review. Awful way of doing business.
Update #2: This company just keeps proving my point. They've now offered me a $300 hotel voucher if I remove this review. You know the saying "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". Well, I'm not falling for it a second time. No way I'd book anything with you. Keep your voucher.
I now understand why they have a rating of 4.7 stars if they pay people to remove their bad reviews. Buyer beware!
I am writing to address a concerning matter regarding my recent reservation and subsequent charges for a stay at the Grand Oasis Cancun. I booked a package with your company for $360, expecting it to cover all expenses, but I was later surprised to find an additional charge of $739.02, which was not disclosed in the initial package.
The additional charges were purportedly for "Resort taxes and fees for that all-inclusive experience," amounting to approximately $185 per person. These charges allegedly included all food and drinks, including alcohol, as well as gratuities for the trip. However, I was never informed about these extra costs during the booking process or in the package details.
I understand that unforeseen charges can sometimes arise during travel, but it is essential for customers to be transparently informed about these expenses in advance. Failing to do so creates a sense of deception and dissatisfaction with your services. Given the lack of disclosure, I believe it is only fair to request a full refund of the $360 I initially paid for the package.
I was initially offered a partial refund of only $100, which does not adequately address the issue at hand. I kindly request that you reconsider and provide a full refund of the $360 as a matter of urgency. This action will help restore my confidence in your company and demonstrate your commitment to fair and honest business practices.
Hello Leyla,
Thank you for your feedback a customer service representative will follow up with you.
I was super excited about the deal for Apple Tree Inn in Petoskey and before I gave Booksi.com my money I phoned the hotel for availability - and GUESS what?! The hotel told me NOT to purchase the "deal" - the hotel does not honor this so called special and you are out your money. What a horrific way to do business... be very careful! Buyer beware - I'm very grateful I phoned the hotel before booking this "special".
Thank you for your valuable feedback. As stated in the Terms & Conditions, the special promotional price is sponsored by our marketing partner Bluegreen Resorts. Unfortunately, that front desk person was new and wasn't properly informed, however, the issue has been resolved. We send over 10,000 vacationers alone to the Boyne Michigan area yearly. Please contact us at support@booksi.com if you have more questions

Horrible experience. I booked my trip after seeing a $399 special. After I I pick my dates (and get charged right away) I get a message that it isn't complete yet, I need to call to verify. I call the reservations number they provided and spoke with an extremely rude and unprofessional female. She tells me I need to pay another $400+ for taxes and fees. I explained to her that I wasn't aware of that and she said it states that in the terms and conditions. I then tell her I want a refund and was told "NO". She would not give me a refund and still demanded $400. I spoke with support after that and was told a manager will call me. When I asked support to refund me I was told she can't do that. When I asked support to confirm my dates, she said she couldn't do that. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Hi Jay, thank you so much for your review. Every customer’s opinion matters to us as we continually strive to improve our service. We would be even more grateful if you could contact us to let us know what we could do to make your experience better. Please reach out to us at support@booksi.com. Thank you
I called to make sure that adding 1 child was not going to be too expensive. I was told that it would not be anymore than about $45. When I went to finalize things with the resort, they said it would be an additional $750 to add the child. I called Booski to cancel my reservation and get my money refunded and they REFUSED to refund my money. They did cancel the trip and they did agree to refund me the $45 a night, but not the rest of the money. The resort refunded me the $750, but I am still out $450 from Booksi who won't refund me. They are a scam and lie to get you to buy their trips.
Lure you in with low price then add on at least $110 more after they have your credit card charged. I will change my review if they give me refund.
Garry
This is too good to be true. Read under Terms & Conditions about a high pressure 90-minute (this means 90 minute or more) timeshare presentation. No thanks!
Booksi promised 5 nights at Villa del Palmar Cabo but Booked Los Cabos Golf Resort.
The advertized price was $399.00 but the actual price was $747.15
Phone number attached to the text confirmation welcome the call can not be completed as dialed.
Called customer service number, sat on hold for over an hour and no answer. Used automated call back feature agent did finally call and told me I had to see a presentation and pay an additional $281.27. I ask for a refund and no one has responded!
Booksi appears to be a shady organization!
TOTALLY A SCAM they make you think your getting a deal on a family vacation and then when you go book your vacation then they tell you that you have to sit through a 2 hour seminar which it doesn't say on the Facebook page and they want you to pay more money and what it ads up to you can get a hotel room thru a different booking agency the add also said my money was safe. If for some reason we couldn't make it.bull crap I give them negative five stars stay clear going a different way
My wife booked a trip in June for September 2.5days 4 nights. When time to confirm the trip they told her she couldn't do the dates.they can alter the dates, can't get the money back. Even though she purchased insurance they told her it was just incase she canceled the trip early instead to get a refund.
Senior Citizens duped into believing these promotional prices were due to this being a new booking company. Yet it turns out you have to go thru their hard core salesman trying to sell you a time share. If you don't go thru the presentation you pay full prices for the room you are in. After realizing what it was, I asked for a refund within 2 hours because my husband can't stand thru any presentation. I was treated rudely and basicly laughed at after their rep refused to provide supervisor or management assistance. It's NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS FOLKS. I actually tried booking the place I wanted to go, it showing availability but then gave me alternative, a much older run down place to stay rather than what I signed up for. They took my money, and there was only the one option. Very shady. I don't suggest this company to book travel. Go with someone more reputable. Save yourself the sales pitch!
UPDATE! Contacted back by this company and refunded 100%. If your up for the PRESENTATION it's legit. I've learned if you are really set on a particular place, you may have to book it out for a while, but they do give you a year to actually book! Tour, book early and you may be a winner. 😀

I just went to the airport to catch my flight to go to Cabo San Lucas for our anniversary. I was unaware that you have to have an international passport to fly I have a passport card which is good to travel to Mexico and Canada. I have used it for cruises so when I called them to see if I can get a refund the lady was very rude and said it was my fault that I didn't know you can't use a passport card to fly they never told me I needed an international passport and that they will not issue me a refund I am now out 800 plus my whole anniversary vacation is ruined I was really looking forward to going.

I booked a reservation and went on vacation. I had to pay all kind of fees including $150 refundable deposit.
They don't say all these fees in the ads then after your trip $150 refundable never happened. It's a total scam and shady business >> PLEASE STAY AWAY THIS SCAMMER!
Answer: Our deals show all fees before any payment is made. The fees involved are based on the amount quoted for the offer plus the taxes and fees added in the cart before payments are made. The only additional fees for the accommodation which may or may not apply based on each individual deal is the "Resort Fees" which are charged at the time of booking dates. These fees vary depending on the individual hotel deal. To see if there are any resort fees applied to the hotel you are interested in please view the terms and conditions at the bottom of the deals information. Our offers supply the very best accommodation at a fraction of the cost based on the deals being promotional and offering a "Resort Preview Rate" as shown in the information. This means that these are first time visitor promotions where the hotels will request the opportunity to provide a products and services update to explain the benefits of the vacation based services that they have available to help save you even more money on future vacation. You are not obligated to join anything but the hotel will require your time to explain their services to you.
Answer: Hi Maria, After purchasing your vacation, you will receive a confirmation email with a link and your credentials to book your dates, once your dates are booked you will receive another email with a phone number to call our reservations team and confirm your desired dates, at that time you will be able to ask for a wheelchair accessible room. Please if you need any other information about our services reach out to support@booksi.com. Thank you
Answer: Hi Michelle, This usually happens when the financial institution stops the purchase. Please make sure to contact your bank or you can also try using a different card (This can also solve the problem). For your reference, the only payments we accept are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If you keep having issues with your purchase, we recommend you choose a different internet browser and use a computer instead of a Smartphone.
Answer: Hi Mary, unfortunately, we do not have flight deals. You will have to go to your preferred travel agency for this.

Answer: Our offers supply the very best accommodation at a fraction of the cost based on the deals being promotional and offering a "Resort Preview Rate" as shown in the hotel offer information. Our resort partners are sponsoring the discount in exchange for meeting the eligibility requirements listed in the Terms & Conditions.
