Monster /Booksi use "bait and switch" unabashedly
November 10, 2023

After two phone calls were reps were repeating written answers I emailed my concerns because no one could explain anything. ( they sent Texts saying call this number, which was the same people, and 10 minute wait as booking a new reservation.

E mail from me answering their brief text, wanting to set up a time to talk to the same phone people.

Hello Fiorella

Yes, cleaning this up would be good. Thank you for contacting me. Written contact would be best.

Before making the reservation? I reviewed the information available.

Making the reservation online:
Not seeing any thing about plus taxes and hotel fees I put the deposit and credit card information in.

1st E mail
When I saw that I received little or no other new information after doing that, I went ahead with dates and called in for the first time. Per your company's online instructions.

First call:
As I told by the first ( operator) representative I was surprised that tax and hotel fees were almost as much as the room I thought I already paid for.

She tried to explain about future U.S. stays I would not have to pay that. I am not interested in future reservations at this time and although I asked she was not able to tell me what I this was other than it would allow me to have meals and drinks. Azul is an all inclusive Hotel so I know that's included in all rooms.

Since it didn't make sense to me and our conversation didn't help. I told her I wanted to review the information I was sent so I moved to end the call, which during which she made it sound like she had the reservation completed. However I received no e mail confirmation.

Second E mail:
After not getting a room confirmation. The second confirmation I received shows the original deposit and now I was being charged the portion as if my reservation dates were accepted.

Second Call:

So I called The second ( operator) representative asking her to cancel everything as this was not what I had originally saw by the information I was given. She insisted I had everything I needed, several times So because of this AND she said she would send an e mail confirming this, which I assumed she meant my dates were confirmed for my 4 night stay and my payments covered everything. She said to wait as the e mail would take 15 minutes or so to reach me.

As of today ( well over 15 hours later) I still have received no e mail.

Resolution:

If you are interested in:
"the best way to change your mind about what you think of our company."?

I would either like a room at or near ( including taxes etc) what I've paid ( agreed to)
Or all my (charges reversed) money returned.

Thank you

After a second day, and second email outlining the above… I was encouraged AGIN to call in to work things out WITH the call center, or … With the same people that take reservations, and had no answers for me.

I had to press over and over again I want my money back. They kept trying to sell me different vacation packages until after 25 minutes see photo they finally relented.

Tip for consumers:

I assume most people won’t fight to get their money back after they realize it’s twice the cost of what they advertise with the huge fees. I got my money back from the call center… Nobody of management ever called me back or apologized.

Products used:

After 25 minutes on the phone , third call two emails three text later. I was issued a refund within the 72 hours that they don’t state is their cancellation period.

Constant Changes or Unavailable Booking 24 hours After
October 13, 2023

NeverStopSelectServices was contacted and after 1 hour spent booking trip contacted me via text yo say dates were not available. This happened several times. Customer service in calling regarding same very arrogant. Would not give street address and said Booksi "no longer existed" and that my trip was not able to be credited to my credit card. So I went no place for the cost to Booksi. I documented the conversation. Buyer beware.

The worst booking experience of my life, an absolute horror show
January 7, 2023

What an absolute nightmare this experience with booksi has been. DO NOT USE This company, they are a 3rd party, time share, nightmare.

Sure you might get to go for a 6 day 5 night all inclusive but you will absolutely need it after dealing with this horror show of a company.
The nightmare doesn't stop there folks! After accepting your money booksi will eventually send you a confirmation email (2 days after taking my $$) then they will send you to a false calendar on the booksi website, there will be pink available dates shown that guess what …. ARE NOT ACTUALLY AVAILABLE!

All though i have been told about ******* times by this company that I did not read the fine print (seems this is how they are able to real scam you). I booked my ticket to Cancun as my package said there was an availability right before christmas! Perfect i thought christmas getaway!

I informed booksi that i needed a confirmation on the hotel as there was a seat sale i couldn't pass up. When *Monster ( the 2nd party booking agency) eventually called me back they told me not only was this trip to cancun NOT available BUt there are NO dates in December at any locations in Mexico ………. OH WAIT!

Then i was told by a MONSTER a booking agent to change my tickets to CABO, we can get you the 6 days 5 nights in Cabo san lucas ….So i changed my flights to Cabo …. And guess what …. The agent at MONSTER gave me her personal email ( as a gesture of good faith) and guess what, she ghosted me for 3 days!

In a panic i called BOOKSI to find out what was happening and i was told yea, that is correct there are NO AVAILABLE hotels for December, and that the Cabo location was included in that. They then told me that they would gift me another trip for all my troubles. What a joke.

Finallly i got ahold of someone at Monster, after telling them that the only resolution is to place me on a 6 day 5 night all inclusive in Cabo, I had already change my tickets, I had already been guarantee that there was a spot there, but I was not willing to lose the cost of the tickets, especially after I was told to reroute them to Cabo. I could've cancelled the tickets in the trip without any extra fees incurred within 24 hours of buying the tickets, but monster told me reroute to Cabo, only for Booksy to tell me, there are no available reservations anywhere.

So eventually Monster connected with me and they told me that they PULLED SOME STRINGS and were able to book us into a hotel in Cabo …….lwe are required to attend a 120min presentation time share bull$#*!, whatever …… i just want this resolved so i can look forward to going away.

I paid the extra fee of $245.00CD ( this is your transport fee that they don't talk to you about, fine print remember). And there is another suggested fee of $245.00CD insurance i declined. No way am i trusting this company to INSURE this trip …they can't even book it!

It's been 3 days since my cabo trip has been "booked" yet unconfirmed. By the Villa Group ( yet another company that deals with the actual hotels and transportation). I am waiting for Villa group to complete the booking.

NO ONe HAS CALLED… i called them with less than 72 hours before I fly out of Canada,
And was told they have absolutely no knowledge of me coming to there resort. My phone number, email, nothing shows up…. They say call MONSTER aback and deal with them ….

So i wait on hold for 2 hr, and a hold of somebody at monster, and Monster sent an URGENT email to VILLA GROUP Apparently it was an urgent enough on Monday that they had to wait until 72 hours before I fly out to actually take action on confirming this reservation.

If it wouldn't have been for myself calling and being so persistent, I would've had a trip to Mexico, my plane tickets would've been something I would've had to eat during the holidays, no booking reservation no hotel actually no validation that I even exist.

Oh, here's some more information that they're not going to tell you, if you booked multiple trips cause the are "such a great deal " you have to wait six months in between any reservation of any of their locations.

Oh, and here's another thing, you can't book 2 trips at the same time, so you wanted to go away in December, and then again in February, you have to wait till your December trip is completed before you can book another trip with them, and you must wait six months in between trips.

This is a time share package you are required to attend 120 minute presentation, which, by the way, can often lead into an entire day. I've been to timeshare presentation before and they are an absolute joke. Nothing is free in this world.

The really hard part of the process was that the people that I have spoken to along the way, have been quite pleasant. The last person I spoke to really went the extra mile… But in general these companies ( BOOKSI MONSTER) are not here to provide for you they are here to take from you, they are not transparent and how they sell these packages, and the fine print is so fine that you can't even read it until they've already taken your money. Get ready for headaches, hidden fees, in accurate schedules, dropped, calls, and no confirmation, these companies will ensure that they take your money ASAP and will then treat you like absolute dirt without any sense of urgency whatsoever when it comes to them, holding up their end of the deal.

If you have the money to pay for a vacation, just do it, I am booked in now for Cabo. However, this has taken a huge toll and in hindsight, I should've just self booked a trip. It would've been much much much easier.

Tip for consumers:

don’t trust the availability calendar that is given to you when you sign into your account.

There is a ton of fine print. It is nowhere to be found, except for when they’ve already taken your money..

Be prepared to go to a timeshare presentation, that you are mandated to be at.

You are only able to use your vacation packages within six months of each other
they are a third or fourth party booking app. You don’t have to work through monster as well as villa group. There are hidden fees

Please be aware that some "vacation" packages are nothing more than cleverly disguised "timeshare" presentations. READ THE FINE PRINT. https://access.booksi.com/the-mountain-club-on-loon?fbclid=IwAR0SonY9xAbhVPzuCGTgYVGY_LpDooUlIgEGM8dqCDePelP78zY1eVx2I8U
