BIGGEST ISSUE was that there were 13 books in that box WITH ZERO PACKAGING! There was more than enough space for air pillows, paper, anything to stop the books from sliding and moving. I had a package come from Book Outlet before like that and thought it was a fluke. Apparently not. EVERY SINGLE BOOK HAS DAMAGE AND WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THIS. I have pictures if there's a follow up. Covers scrapped with white streaks on them, torn dusters, damaged pages, crinkled back covers, and one paperback slid into a hard back damaging the pages of the hard back and the paperback.
I love your prices, but I would still like to receive my books in undamaged state.
Minor issues:
Upon check out it took for ever to get it to switch over to a different address to deliver my order to. Not to mention that the $5 off I got didn't want to work. AND it tried to order double of everything and put items I had already removed from my cart quite a while before I settled on my order
I purchased a daily devotional from bookoutlet. It was missing 33 pages. When I contacted them they could not help me or even replace the book. Do not recommend purchasing from them.
I ordered 10 books for the very first time with this company. All books were nearly brand new and were great deals with fast shipping. I'm so pleased and will definitely be ordering more from here!
"S" - Scratch and Dent Version is where you expect some small flaw or the appearance of slight usage. In my most recent order of five books, one was tagged as an "S". Unfortunately it was a Bible with the cover reversed with the front on the back and vice versa. Otherwise it was in perfect condition. But who wants a Bible with a confusing cover? So, really a total loss despite the low price.
The most expensive book of the five was rated "B", but looks like its previous life was spent as a sample in a lumber yard. The third book, also rated "B" appears used, the type you expect to get at a garage sale for fifty cents. Book #4, although not pristine, is what you might see on the shelves of Chapters or Coles: OK. Well, the fifth book is a gem and is truly a bargain.
The moral of the story: if the book you want has an "S" version available, save some money and buy it, because that is what you will likely get anyway.
And dear BookOutlet, if the cover is not attached properly, be sure to mention it in the description or just keep it for yourself.
The time it takes to receive a shipment is a little long compared to other retailers, but the pricing can't be beat and packages from Book Outlet always brighten my day!
I wasn't able to find all of the books I wanted... but the ones I was able to find and purchase, so far were excellent. I'll keep my eyes out for the ones I couldn't find. I know eventually you will probably come across them. And the B1G1 was a huge help.
Book quality was perfectly fine, shipping was quick...although my daughter ordered her books before me I received my order first so she's a little jealous.
I never received my package nor a refund for it, and I also placed another order which I cancelled (but was still charged for) and have STILL not received a refund, even though I cancelled the order almost three weeks and over ten business days ago... I am a full time student and really need this money returned to me as well as the money for the other order if they are not going to send me the books.
This was my 1st order with Book Outlet. I ordered 10 books for my daughter and for the price was expecting them to be heavily used. They are in wonderful condition! I am so thrilled!
I ordered 6 books almost 3 months ago and never received them. The company has made no resolutions, though they already have charged me for the books! I would NOT do business with this company!
My order was split into several shipments and I have not received all of them. From what I've received so far, I did receive one duplicate item. The books I received are in good condition.

Absolutely horrible. It took 10 days for the books to arrive (which is ok by itself). But I ordered 12 carefully chosen books for my baby and I got a box of 10+ Christian gospels! Is this a joke?

I have made a ton of purchases from bookoutlet. The books are super cheap and in great condition! Also they have this reward system that saves a gon of money.
I was very impressed with Book Outlet. I belong to a book club where we each have a month where we choose and provide books, provide a place to meet, and refreshments. My turn is in March and the book I chose was so new that our local libraries only had a total of 4 books I could check out in a 20 mile radius. Instead if wasting gas and chasing down books that we could only have for 2 weeks, I thought I'd buy 6 copies to share. All of the used book stores only had one or two copies, which were pricey with expensive shipping. After searching for an hour, I found the Book Outlet. I could get several books for $6.11 a copy. If I bought 6 books, the shipping was free and the books were all in good condition. I placed my order and got them yesterday. All of the books were brand new books. When we are finished reading the book, I plan on donating the copies to our local libraries. The only glitch was the books were supposed to be here in 7-10 days. It took 14 days but because I still have a month before I need then so no problem. I also realize you are from Canada and I'm in Utah and we've had several winter storms which probably slowed down shipping.
Great prices on books that other stores charged 3 to 4 times more for the same books…why buy books anywhere else! More than affordable and great turnaround time in receiving them. Thank you!

I went on, chose my category, chose 3 books almost immediately, paid, got off. Received books quite late is my only complaint. But these books are in terrific condition. I'm so pleased! Thank you!

"Scratch & Dent books may have dents, scratches, torn or missing dust jackets etc. but will be structurally sound and completely readable. If they are for any reason compromised structurally, we will reship the book or put a refund through for the item if we no longer have it in stock. The 110% guarantee will not apply to these items."
Our bargain books " will always be new and in good condition. Since our books are publisher overstocks there may be very minor wear or bends to the book and this can be expected since some items may have been handled a few times, but most of our books are in great condition."
