I had lots of trouble when the day of my book of the day was fast approaching.The club handled my problems with kindness and soothing attention. They stayed with me as i fumbled with promoting my book on Amazon and dealt with a medical problem at the same time. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow and as a consequence i weathered the storm.

Several authors in a book club used onlinebookclub for a review and feature. It is not cheap. You spend several hundred dollars. Some got two and three star reviews, the worst book got a 5. One found out their reviewer lived in India and didnt understand the culture.

All were "featured" on the site. NOT ONE BOOK GOT A SALE! Although who is going to buy a three star book anyway. The owner tries to cover his butt with "no promises" but now he is emailing everyone he can GUARANTEE a book, no matter how bad to become a bestseller... for $20k. The books on this site are mostly terrible self-published books. Don't do it!

I have been a book reviewer on the Online Book Club for over 2.5 years. I chanced upon this site looking for books to read. I ended up getting to read books of my liking, leave honest reviews, and make friends. The payment for the reviews is a bonus.

I've tried a few different paid review sites but this is the only one that has been consistent and clear about their pay rates and offered room for growth! I've loved being part of this community and look forward to finding more amazing books/authors!

Thank you for reviewing my book. Following the reviewer's suggestions, I've fixed 19 errors.
I would like to make a note about some comments in the review:
"I don't think the front cover works very well, as it doesn't look like the person is really swimming".
- This was done on purpose. A normal swimmer would put their head down into the water like every other swimming book out there. I want a good-looking book cover; therefore, the swimmer is looking toward the audience to better get the reader's attention.
"and it seems incongruous that they are wearing clothes rather than swimming attire."
- This was also done on purpose since the book was meant for global distribution. Some eastern cultures, where they are covered from head to foot, might find Western swimming attire inappropriate.

I very much appreciate the fact that the reviewer was honest with their opinion, resulting in an unbiased review. When I write, however I try to write with the idea that it is my desire for the words to appeal to anyone. That is to Christian people as well as non-Christian people. There have been times in my life that I felt far away from God, if I believed at all during those times, and it is important to me that others feel what I did, for their sakes. Writing this book is my way of helping others to overcome whatever they may be facing.

Its been extremely easy to use it and the support team s a great help

I joined as a skeptic, but thought this would give me a push to read books in a relaxing manner as I used to do (instead of my technical information library). I chose a romance/historical fiction book, and read it whenever I had time to sit for a couple hours. I was confused on the website at first, but emails helped me find my way around and enabled me to complete the review. Reviews go through a stringent process, require a lot of work to accomplish, but give a sense of accomplishment when you are done. Highly recommended if you love reading and want to add the satisfaction of your view being recognized!

I was happy to be able to check the status of my review request at any time. I felt like I had a very capable team looking out for my best interests. My review was very professionally written and I felt the reviewer understood what I intended to convey in my book.

I'd like to share a few observations so others can make informed decisions. 1. The site charges $1 for "expedited support," yet despite claiming millions of members, only FEW hundred use that option. This raises fair questions about the platform's transparency and real engagement. Something both Author and Reviewer should keep in mind. 2. Many users have reported delayed or missing payments, often linked to sudden problems that tend to appear when payouts are due. Especially LARGE payouts. If you don't believe this, look at Reddit. 3. Although it presents itself as a large, supportive book community, several members have said it's difficult to get real help unless they pay for faster service. 4. Critical or honest feedback doesn't seem particularly welcome, which may explain why so much public praise contrasts with what's being shared on independent forums. If you've had experiences that seem misleading or unfair, you can report them through verified consumer channels like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) or similar accountability platforms. Doing so helps promote transparency and ensures companies are held to reasonable standards.
In short, take time to research before investing your effort or money. A platform built on genuine trust should never shy away from accountability.
