The results of my BOTD experience exceeded all expectations. Thanks to the Online Book Club's comprehensive promotional efforts, my book achieved #1 bestseller status in three Amazon categories simultaneously! This success was driven by the exceptional engagement of OBC members and the tireless efforts of the entire team.
I want to particularly acknowledge Nisha, Sandeep, and Scott for their outstanding work in maximizing visibility across all platforms throughout the day. Their strategic approach to promotion and commitment to driving meaningful engagement made this achievement possible.
The experience was so valuable that I plan to participate again with my second book. For authors seeking impactful promotion and genuine reader engagement, I cannot recommend the BOTD program highly enough.
I appreciate the reviewer's honesty and experience while reading my book. I want the reader to feel my book and not just read it, and the reviewer expressed that experience as well as pointing out errors.
I have been very impressed by the way this organization keeps its promises. It really does all it can to assist and promote its authors and to provide its readers with incisive and truthful reviews. My experience has been entirely positive.
Hi, Winsome, thank you so much for your review!
Overall, very satisfied, but at the risk of being 'picky' I was surprised the reviewer made a few minor errors when providing her synopsis which, to me, suggested her notes may have been mixed and/or confused as a result of reviewing too many books at one time.
I was very excited to join a website that promised to pay me for reading and reviewing books. A dream, right? Nope. It's been two months since I wrote and submitted my first paid review, and I haven't been paid. The owner doesn't respect the reviewers at all, and I'm inclined to call this site a scam. Beware!
Hi, Lebogang,
I've looked into your account for you. You simply need to upload your ID to your payment profile to be paid. That's all your payments are waiting on.
I am happy to report we absolutely do pay as agreed.

At first it was difficult to understand why the scoring was so strict but as i went along it also became a personal challenge to do better. Overall it has been a fun experience with bouts of disappointment, sadness and happiness all thrown in. After 6 months i am still at level 1 but that is temporary
Thank you for your review, Fareed!
Working with OnlineBookClub.org has been a pleasant experience. One can select the book for reviewing as and when they wish to, as per their own comfort. Although, the process of getting the review checked and being paid is quite slow, it is worth the wait. The payments are transferred to your account within the time specified.
The site is good for hobbyists and passionate alike but the problem is that there is only one payment method, Paypal. There are some countries that do not accept Paypal and reviewers can't get their earnings easily. If the site adds other payment options as well then it would be pretty easy and more efficient.

I wrote my first review which was looked over multiple times by multiple people for any grammatical errors and the site only had bad things to say about my review. They still continued to post my review though. I wrote a second review and was told I would get a $5 bonus for also posting a review on Amazon. I posted my review on onlinebookclub, using the critiques they gave me on my first one, then posted on Amazon. My review was given a 33% for plagiarism when I wrote the review 100% by myself. They also gave me tips for grammatical errors that weren't even made. For example, I wrote "in California" because that's where the characters lived but they tried to tell me that I needed to write "into California" instead, which is grammatically incorrect. The rest of my points were all taken off for plagiarism and then I was removed as a reviewer. I'm so annoyed. It seems as though they just don't want to pay me for my hard work. I haven't even gotten the $5 for posting on Amazon.
Hi, Viessa,

Please do give me a chance to work hard to go above and beyond to more than resolve any and all issues and concerns you may have.
Please email me at:

Remember: OnlineBookClub offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee with all of our packages and services.
I look forward to hearing from you and to working hard to go above and beyond to not only fix any issues or concerns you may have.
Thank you,

Apparently most of the reviews here are from people who get paid to read books. As an author, I am extremely disappointed in the review I received. They use a high school format (Who is your favorite character?) and it was not from an actual editor, like they claim. It is a paid review from a reader. $249 down the drain. If you are an author, spend your money somewhere else. Also, may I say that most of the reviews here are against the policy of this site - you signed a statement that " I am in no way affiliated with this business" - if you are paid to write reviews for this site, then you are affiliated with them.
Like the curate's egg. My gripe is that your site is far too difficult to navigate. Every action is difficult. My most recent example (of many) is my effort to thank my book reviewer. I don't want to give up because I want to thank him, but after wasting about twenty minutes, I am about to admit defeat. Please simplify the complexities of your site - it will VASTLY improve a visitor's experience.
(Incidentally, after reading such a VERY precise review listing eight typos in my 110k-word manuscript, it was surprising to find so many within the instructions and texts on your site. You could start with: ' Generally...')
Meantime, your good bits and the talent you attract are exemplary -- thank you.

If I could leave negative stars I would. I will be brief. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! They will do everything in their power not to pay you. If you fix your review they will find another excuse not to pay you. And customer service is horrible, when you find them. If you can read the authors' mind about what they consider profanity and sexual content, you might have a chance. I was promised $50 for buying a book, reading the book, and writing a review. I upheld my end of the deal, they did not. In my book ( pun intended), that makes them a liar and a cheat! Liars and cheaters don't prosper. They have the audacity to tell reviewers to contact them before writing a bad review. Why? For them to yank your chain, make matters worse, and STILL not pay you? Play with toys, not me!
I have been on pins and needles waiting for a review of my book. It has been a lifelong dream to write a novel, and starting with this one was extra special. Today when I opened the review...tears sprung to my eyes. I honestly could not believe it. Thank you for giving me and this special story a lift! The review was detailed, without giving away the rest of the story. Reviewer did an excellent job. Overall experience with online book club is 5 out of 5 stars because they are helping me reach the stars!
Kajori, Kirsi, Sarah, and Valarie, all have been helpful. Responding in a timely fashion, working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Can't ask for more than that!
Kajori, Kirsi, Sarah, and Valarie, ALL, have gone above and beyond to resolve my issue. Responding in a timely fashion, following through with what they said they would do, being very understanding is just a few reasons their efforts should be recognized! Top notch team!
I have been writing with Online Book Club since summer of 2024 and I appreciate their very friendly responses and feedback. I believe the experience has been one of the best routes to take to improve my writing skills. I appreciate OBC's high standards for writing quality and ethics in what they do.
I gave a 5-Star because OnLine Book Club has always worked with me and as a team worked well. Their responses to my requests have always been quick and accessible. And when working with publishers, this is not always the case. In my opinion, OnLine Book club rates highly for the services they offer.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this review of Excavating Fate, but I liked how this site ensured the reviewer had read the book by requesting their synopsis of the story. I also appreciated how the reviewer gave their honest feedback about how the story affected them as they read. This has helped me adjust some of the prose accordingly before the book launch in 2025. I'm very satisfied with the process and plan to request more reviews as the time for my book launch grows nearer.
I wasn't sure how my onlinebookclub.org "book of the day," online promotion would work out. It was a wonderful experience. Inter-acting with the followers, commenters and reviewers was fun. My novel, "Quantum Terra," by Kirk Marty, achieved #1 status in two amazon.com categories! Very pleased with the experience and results. Thanks you onlinebookclub and all followers, commenters and reviewers. Couldn't have done it without you! Thanks again!
My debut book has just received its first ever review, and although it only earned 2 out of 5 stars, I am immensely grateful. The book was originally written in Italian, and I then translated it myself into English. Regrettably, there were some formatting errors in the writing that I overlooked due to my impatience.
As a professional photographer, this was my very first foray into writing, and I am incredibly proud of this accomplishment. Regardless of the review, this book represents a piece of my soul, and the mere fact that someone took the time to read it is a triumph for me. While the critical reception may not have been glowing, the experience of bringing this literary work to life has been a profound personal achievement. Even a modest review cannot diminish the sense of pride and fulfillment I feel in having completed this project. It is a significant milestone, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my creative vision with readers. Eagerly anticipating the day when I can pen the next chapter of Luna's tale, chronicling the captivating journey through her formative years.
Thank you Amy Jackson for helping me in my questions. J.K. Rowling and I would say you "turned on the light." Thank you.

Answer: To get paid you need to do paid reviews. But since you are new, you'll have to do at least one volunteer/unpaid review. This is so that the moderators can see how well you are able to keep to the guidelines. There are six reviewer levels in total. The higher levels offer review opportunities with higher payouts. Writing good reviews following guidelines and participating within the bookclub will help get you to higher levels. Hope that helps!
