Do not use Booking.com! It's a scam. You will be over paying by 15-20%. I didn't intend to book through a 3rd Party. Thought I was calling the "La Quinta Reservations" phone direct. They do not identify themselves. They gave me a $10-15 discount on the room, but after a long reservation process they quickly added $40 (40%) in Taxes & Fees and convince you that it is standard for this hotel location. Found out afterward that I was not talking to La Quinta, but there are no refunds and nothing you can do.
Booked 2 nights at "Days Inn" through bookonline.com, & it was 280.00$.
Once I got here & looked around, noticed how the front door to my hotel room was cracked luke warm water in the shower, etc.
So I went to the front desk, an asked to checkout, how 280$ for 2 nights was pretty rediculous, given the state of the rooms.
He looked pretty confused, an told me for 2 nights, it would be 180.00$... and that was without any reservation etc.
Bookonline seriously charged 280.00$ for 2 nights, booked a week in advance.
If you do go through bookonline.com. Just call the hotel first, & ask how much their rates are before you plunk your credit card into these guys... lmfao
I didn't book the room my sister did I canceled the very next day. Long story short I never stayed at the hotel and they still took 280 out of my account times are hard I'll never book with them again!
Attempted to use this site to make a booking and found out the hard way that this service is fraudulent. When I attempted to contact a human associated with the company about my complaints and to request a refund, I ended up having to pretend I was a potential customer just to get a foreign answering service to take my call and whom then transferred me to "customer service." Side note, I asked the "customer service agent" to provide me with a direct number to customer support in case I were to be disconnected and she couldn't provide me with one.
After spending time providing them with evidence that I should be given a refund, the agent "Shandel" put me on hold to speak with her manager, whom subsequently refused to take my call or provide me with their name. I've reported BookOnline.com to the FTC, Google (whom shamelessly let this company promote ads), and will be filing with the BBB after this review.
DO NOT LET THIS WEBSITE SCAM YOU!
This site is a canker on the internet. I mistakenly booked with them and needed a pet friendly room. Their version of the comfort inn site said it did. I them showed up after a long drive in Charleston, WV and to my surprise, the Comfort Inn is *not* pet friendly.
I then went into a black hole of trying to get bookonline.com customer service to do one simple thing. Credit the Comfort Inn site and book the Quality Inn site which is owned by the same company and sites next door. I had verbal confirmation from the manager at the Comfort Inn would agree to do the transfer.
The unhelpful customer support person said ithat they needed this in writing. They needed to have this before they would process the new booking. According to the manager at the Comfort Inn, it was not required. I got the runaround with no satisfaction.
I then requested talking to a BookOnline manager, and then I was put on hold for 20 minutes and eventually dropped.
DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE SITE!
Beware that BookOnline is NOT the same as Booking.com. The page with the price for Booking.com appears but behind it is the BookOnline Page. It added $41.00 of "tax recovery charges and service fees."
This is intentionally misleading and there is no way to rectify it. The hotel I booked was unaware and told me the price was as I expected. The charge to my card was an additional $41.39. STAY AWAY
Since the hotel didn't have the room and said others had the same problem when I contacted the hotel, (The service desk person will cooberate this claim), I canceled immediately within a few hours detecting a scam. I was able to contact them but they wouldn't cancel without charging since it was a non-refundable fee... How can they charge for cancelling a room they didn't even have?... They charged under getaroom.com so I called them. They simply hung up without me being able to tell them they charged me for a room they didn't even have. It says free cancellation but dated 2 days before.
I disputed this and blocked them through my credit card company.
They make it look like your clicking on the hotel website to book. They work with a third party call getaroom.com. Charged $300 in 'fees' over what hotel actually told me their price was. Couldn't cancel without getting no refund. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with bookonline.com and got hung up on. Total and complete scam. Do NOT use this website or getaroom.com. BEWARE!
I thought I was booking on the actual hotels webpage. Bookonline scams you by appearing to be the actual hotel. Once I got to the hotel, Bookonline had double booked me using my credit card and changed my name. They first charged $300+ in fees but did this twice. In other words, they booked my for the same hotel for the same exact nights under two different names and charged me over $1100. I challenged through my CC company and Bookonline would not take the charges off. I disputed it with Bookonline and the company that handles their disputes claims by screwed customers and terminated their agreement with them obviously due to being a SCAM. Both times I tried to file a claim the Bookonline rep could not speak English and had barking dogs and crying children in the background. Don't walk away from Bookonline, RUN!
Sold us a reservation at a hotel and when we arrived the hotel had no rooms, they stated they received a call from BookOnline asking for a room for us and they told BookOnline they had no rooms but BookOnline sold us the reservation anyway. We wasted cab fare traveling to the hotel and still had to find another hotel. So far, have not received our money back. Stay away from this service.
No one services this site, it's a rip off. No confirmations are sent so all you pay for is a headache.
I booked last minute on bookonline.com for a room in Chandler az for 157.00. I never heard of the website before so that should have been a clue but I was in a hurry.
When I checked my account i was over charged 100.00. I called the 800 number but kept getting the automated voice saying i needed to talk to the hotel directly. I spent 20 minutes trying to reach someone at the site to no avail. Finally i had to call my bank to get my 100.00 back. The website is a sham fraud and a few other words. Use Priceline or something like that and you wont have any problems.
Do not do not do not use the website. If I could give negative stars I would.
DO NOT USE! Booked room for incorrect date. I called to change the date. They flat out refused. I asked to speak to supervisor and they it me on hold and never came back. Bad company
THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY! I ENTERED MY CARD INFO BUT DID NOT COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. I EVEN HAVE A SCREEN SHOT. HAD TO GO BACK ON MY HISTORY ON WEB. THEY STOLE $493.10 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. NOW I HAVE GET ANOTHER CARD. WITH IT BEING SO CLOSE TO THE FIRST OF THE MONTH, IM GOING TO BE CHARGED FOR MY OTHER BILLS THAT GO THROUGH MY CARD! ANY GOOD REVIEWS THEY HAVE. THEY PAID FOR. FUNNY HOW I SUPPOSEDLY BOOKED THROUGH THEM WHEN I NEVER EVEN RECIEVED AN ITINERARY! DONT ENTER ANY OF YOUR INFO. I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!
Great website it's very easy to book from my mobile phone. Prices seemed inline. The hotel was just as shown when I arrived. I will use this site again.
Booking through this site cost $191.00 per night but when I got to the motel, they said the charge was only $134. Which means that bookonline.com uncharged by almost $60.00. Instead of using this company, save your money and just go to the hotel's website and book through them. Bookonline.com is a total sham.
The hotel Comfort Inn in Kanab UT was out of rooms when I called but suggested I try to reserve one online. I was directed to BookOnline.com. The room rate was given as $119. That is average for them - I stay there frequently. When I received the cc charge it was $167.92. I immediately assumed there was an error. When I called, an automated voice asked if I needed a receipt. It was emailed promptly & it showed the "fee" at $48.92 to be "resort" fees, "cleaning" fees & their fee. RIP OFF!
We will NEVER use your services to book a hotel again. You totally overcharged us for this hotel. You added on $50 in what you called taxes & fees, plus charges for your services. We ended up paying $136 when we could have booked directly with hotel for $71. I asked your representative what taxes & fees would add up to & he responded he couldn't give us a total till he entered our account etc. We will definitely spread the word about your poor services.
I stay in a hotel 20+ nights a year and sometimes it's hard to keep track of reservations. I accidentally booked a room twice, not realizing I had booked thru the hotel 6 months ago. Today I booked online, not realizing I was not on the hotel website (I swear I followed the hotel website link but apparently not) I booked the reservation ($1100) was fully charged. Later today it dawned on me I must not have booked thru the hotel website because it's usually not prepay. I do some digging and realize that I A) did not use hotel website B) already had a reservation, which Is $500 cheaper because I booked months ago. Called customer service the same day reservation was made, and told I can cancel but it is non refundable and its my fault for not reading the fine print. I'm pissed and my credit card company is disputing the charge. Fine print says they follow hotel cancel policy (which is 1 day prior) then further down it says non refundable. I am not traveling until July, well within the cancel policy of the hotel. They are sneaky and unreasonable. Mistake happen and I literally called a few hours after I realized my mistake. Customer service agent didnt good english, wouldnt let me speak to a manager (dont even care if im being a karen)Won't ever book with them again!
They look like a real site and I was sent there from the Fairfield site. Charged me an extra 200 plus and would not cancel it. I'm going to dispute this part of the charge thru America express. I was in a hurry and had to stay in my own home town, our water pump went out. Then I called back again and offered me a 15 per cent discount and I took it. But I'm still going to dispute this. People need to know this. Some how they need to be caught.
Answer: SCAM. Huge Fees, no refunds. Would NOT recommend. Do yourself a favor and Pass by when you see this site.
Answer: Agreed! WHY? Absolutely the most blatantly deceptive company I have ever come across.
Answer: I'd love the answer to this! This agency fraudulently charged us $1800!
Answer: Make sure you are booking directly on the hotel's website.
Answer: I was just too tired to drive 90 minutes home. I needed to be back to this area really early in the morning, so I saved 3 hours of driving time and got a good night's sleep also!
