HOW DO YOU CREATE A RESERVATION FOR A GUEST AND JUST TELL THEM, THE ROOOM HAS A BALCONY AND THAT'S IT? BAD/HORRIBLE PRACTICES. THEY SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ALLOWED TO BOOK ANY ROOMS. I WOULDN'T LET THEM BOOK A ROOM FOR MY DOG! SHUT THEM DOWN ASAP! CREATE A RESERVATION WITH THEM AND YOU WON'T FIND YOUR RESERVATION AT THE HOTEL YOU BOOKED! CRAZY!
I booked and prepaid a motel room through Bookonline, only to arrive after a nine-hour flight to discover the motel had no reservation for us! The Motel informed us that they do not use bookonline. Now bookonline is stalling with refunding my money. Total scam, I thought I was booking the motel directly over their website…
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel at first and got flipped to this site. After I went thru the entire process I was told my credit card declined. I called my credit card company to inquire and they said it was approved and gave me an approval authorization code number. Calling the phone number provided was a complete waste of time. Their rep was clueless and had a heavy accent which made communicating difficult. What's worse, she would not even attempt to check into the problem offering me dumb excuses like maybe the room was booked and no longer available. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was placed on hold for over an hour before I finally gave up. I will have my credit card company deal with these crooks. If I could give this company a zero review I would.
I reserved a 3 night hotel stay in Richmond Va at a Super 8 thru bookonline. Com. When I arrived the place was nasty with a terrible odor of smoke and filthy carpets. When I went to my room it was just as nasty and also came with a crack pipe in the bathroom. I stayed the night and in the morning I immediately checked out and canceled the next 2 nights. I called Bookonline and was told I would receive a refund within 7 days needless to say that never happened and now I can't get thru to anyone there to discuss this matter. I will write this off to experience however will never use them again and would suggest the same for you.
I booked a room and on the website it said "may be subject to additional tax and surcharge."
It also said "Free cancellation."
I booked the room and when the reservation came back the additional charges were half the room cost. I immediately cancelled the reservation, literally a minute later. I have the reservation and cancellation notice - one minute difference.
I booked another hotel through another booking site. I went to look at my credit card account 5 days later and the bookonline charge was still there. I immediately filed a dispute and called bookonline.
The person on the phone was arrogant and told me that if I read further down on the reservation that the room was non-refundable for the booking. I told him it literally says "Free Cancellation on the website, reservation and cancellation right next to the room and hotel. He said I should have read the entire page.
To be perfectly blunt here, in the good old US of A, in the 21st century do we now need to assume that a vendor is always lying and then search the internet to confirm it before we purchase from them? Do we not have laws to protect the consumer from blatant fraudulent activity? It literally said "Free Cancellation." Otherwise I would not have booked the room.
As an example - If I have a peanut allergy and a cookie says "peanut free", do I need to go look in the kitchen and read the ingredients to see if they are peanut free? Sorry you went into anaphylactic shock and died but you should have read the ingredients.
This business should be shut down and fined out of any future business. I am praying my credit card company agrees. I sent them the website screen shot, reservation, and cancellation.
I am hoping that the hotels like the Meridien in Boston who allow their rooms to be booked through this ripoff factory, pull their business as well. Shame shame for letting your property be listed in this manner.
I am furious.
I was booking a hotel room on the hotel's website but unknowingly redirected to bookonline.com. I made a reservation in Ohio to visit my son. When I received the confirmation it was for Texas. I called bookonline.com to tell them it is the wrong state, they told me no changes or refunds. The girl in the office said why don't I go to Texas instead. ( Are you kidding me.) I disputed it with my credit card bank, Bank of America and lost. I am out $476.53 How can a company like bookonline stay in business, legally.
We booked a reservation in Feb 2022 not knowing that our reservation was booked in the States. Was very disappointed when we arrived that we didn't have a reservation after driving 10 hrs. Called to cancel and got the most runaround. After I explain our situation they couldn't help us or return our money. Will never use this site again. Reservation should of been in Ottawa Ontario Canada
Like others I thought I was dealing with the hotel directly ( in this case the Marriott) because of a misleading website. They charge you for so called "Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees". The fine print says it is for taxes and "The balance of the charge is a fee we, the hotel supplier and/or the website you booked on, retain as part of the compensation for our and/or their services which varies based on factors such as location, the amount, and how you booked." Before you make a reservation make sure you are not dealing with Bookonline.com.
I booked Econo Lodge on ******* Market Lane US 13, Princess Anne, MD, ******* for only one night from July 19 to July 20. When I arrived, I could get anyone to help me at the front desk at the list for 15 minutes, but when a manager came, he even did not apologize but was kind of irritated by me. The worst part came when I entered the room and the room was smelling so badly with cigarette smoke, that I
Realized I will not be able to sleep in that room. The manager said that someone sells me a room for the smoker and he was not able to give me another room. On the next day, I got my interview and I was afraid that the smell saturated to my skin and my clothes because I was still able to smell it on me. Of course, I could not sleep in that room at all. The management was not friendly at all. So sad.
This company, bookings online was horrible! I booked through them and when I got to the hotel they had booked me for 28 days! They did not send me a confirmation email which led me to think they changed from 1 night to 28! The 28 days was on my discover card so they meaning discover would not remove it! I contacted the company that night and tried to cancel and they just said sorry about my luck! Never again! Discover card is bad too in this because they refused to remove the $5900 for 28 days and supported a slimy 1.2 rated company over a long time Discover customer! Lesson learned! Thanks for this opportunity!
I booked a room at Wyndham super 8 at Houghton lake, had to cancel a month in advance, according to the email confirmation they sent me highlighted under hotel it said "Free Cancellation " in the fine print it says no refund, so they just keep your money. I RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE USE BOOKONLINE. COM, they have not even offered me a credit
I would give less if I could. Booked a room online for 115 and never received receipt. When I looked at CC it showed they charged me over $200. I called and they said because I used room they wouldn't refund. Even though I had no way of knowing they screwed up because I never received receipt. I travel all the time and never will I use them or do I recommend them again. Horrible customer service, they barely speak any English
This business is a scam. Do not do business with this company. They do not know how to make accurate reservations and they made a lot of mistakes. The it was very difficult for me to cancel my reservation and get my refund.
If you've read any of these reviews, you now know that BookOnline is a deceptive business. Visit https://bookonlinereviews.com for details.
I booked hotel reservations through BookOnline and received an invoice from them that stated "Free Cancellation" in bold, bright-yellow text. When I tried to cancel shortly thereafter (and more than two months before the check in date) they didn't reply (well, I received a "we'll respond promptly email" and nothing else).
I immediately contacted my bank, Wells Fargo, who temporarily credited my account. After the hotel reservation date, BookOnline finally contacted me (how convenient!) to tell me they would not refund my money. Wells Fargo (shame on you) then debited the money from my account. BookOnline.com effectively stole $1,171.08 from me.

It was easy and stress free to book on website. Convenient for attending shows at the ford center venue.
Thought I was booking directly with the Hotel. They scam you with the phony URL first, then when you go to the billing page it switches to Bookonline. I needed to cancel the next day, 2 weeks out total, they said no refunds PERIOD.
Absolute BS, It wasn't even booked for more than 24 hours. It was still showing "pending on my Bank Account. So I am Disputing the charges and WILL NEVER USE THIS FRAUDULENT CRIMINAL SITE AGAIN! There needs to be an investigation into this scam website!
I booked a room well in advance (6 weeks) of a family reunion, and thought I was booking directly through the hotel. When my plans changed three weeks later, I cancelled the reservation, but noticed no refund to my credit card. When I called the customer service number, someone I could barely understand told me that I could not get e refund. When I asked if I could transfer the room to another family member, they said they could not do that either. When I pointed out that they literally were charging me $500 for nothing, the barely comprehensible person said that was their policy. Do yourself a favor, and book your hotels either through the hotel directly (these guys use must use bots to get to the top of Google searches) or a reputable booking site with a reasonable refund policy,
Do not use this site. We thought we were on the actual hotel's site but were not and were literally charged hundreds of dollars over the room rate and we an elles about two minutes after making the reservation. And our credit card company would not give us our money back
They are scammer people from India the hotel never got the money that I paid that don't give me back.
Answer: SCAM. Huge Fees, no refunds. Would NOT recommend. Do yourself a favor and Pass by when you see this site.
Answer: Agreed! WHY? Absolutely the most blatantly deceptive company I have ever come across.
Answer: I'd love the answer to this! This agency fraudulently charged us $1800!
Answer: Make sure you are booking directly on the hotel's website.
Answer: I was just too tired to drive 90 minutes home. I needed to be back to this area really early in the morning, so I saved 3 hours of driving time and got a good night's sleep also!
