I thought I was using booking.com but didn't realize until the big green book button came up to confirm that there were HUGE fees associated with this website and that there was a no cancellation policy. Accidentally hit that big green button when I was trying to go back and see why it was so expensive. Immediately tried to contact customer support to fix and despite calling, trying to live chat and emailing they didn't get back to me for over 12 hours. 24/7 support is a huge lie and the fees the charge are 5x what any reputable site will charge! Stay away, far far away! I looked to BBB after realizing I was taken advantage of and see they have an F rating. Well deserved and hopefully some lawyer will start a class action lawsuit against this company and drive them out of business. I am leaving as many negative reviews as I can everywhere hoping I can help someone else no get charged huge unnecessary fees! As you can see in the picture the taxes and fees are almost half the total price. When I went to the direct hotel website the fees were only $80! Let my $460 mistake help you! I will update since they responded…. Unfortunately my private response back to the company has been ignored so they also pay lip service on negative reviews but don't follow through. My above review stands as they have now wasted more of my time!
Site is amazing I'm very pleased with how easy it is to book a reservation through this website. I will be using it again.
Went to make reservations at Sleep Inn & ended up with Book Online. Was charged twice what was quoted. Contacted Book Online where I was informed of their NO Refund policy. Filed a claim against their fraudulent practices. Scammers.

This company is a total scam. My elderly father booked a refundable room through them. He needed to cancel because of getting sick before travel. He called the hotel and per their policy could cancel but unfortunately he had unknowingly book through this 3rd party vendor. The email confirmation stated to contact BookOnline via email or phone. When you call they send you through a ticket system which will go unanswered. We got a hold of one very rude customer service person who said they'd call us back but never did. Between the two of us we sent 7 emails. They obviously scammed my father out of $400 to make a $10 booking fee. The hotel (Four Points Sheraton) confirmed that this company is a scam. What's crazy to me is that they (BookOnline) only makes a $10 cut to scam people, including my elderly parent living on a fixed income. Shameful.
Hi Jamie, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please message us your itinerary number and email address you gave when completing the reservation and we will respond with the next steps.

The company is a subsidiary of agoda.com. Cancellation but no refund was the option when I saw when I immediately tried to cancel and obtain a refund. No way to get through to customer service; I tried to reach them by phone and chat. It's a scam. Facebook should not allow their advertisements which claim to offer a 15% discount. The reality is that the charge is greater than all combined fees. Beware of scam ads on Facebook.
Hi Nancy, currently and at no point in the past has Bookonline.com had an affiliation with agoda.com and we do not advertise on Facebook. Maybe we're getting confused with another company? Regardless, customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please message us your itinerary number and email address you gave when completing the reservation and we will respond with the next steps.

Made reservations for 4night stay. Had to amend stay to 3 nights. They sent me confirmation of request to change, but never notified hotel. I had to call hotel to double check. They had not received any credit/change. This was done 2 weeks prior to arrival. The day before, I received a text from bookonline thanking me for my reservation for that day instead of the next day. I spent the next 4 hrs trying to get bookonline to correct the date to make sure I didn't loose the entire reservation. They told me it wasn't processed yet. I finally reached the hotel and they confirmed my reservation.
When we arrived at the hotel, bookonline had entered the wrong type of room. Instead of 2 queen beds, we had 1 king for 3 people. I had confirmation from bookonline, but they sent it to the hotel incorrectly. Will NEVER EVER use them again.

Make sure to read the contract thoroughly. Also if you cancel you will be charged the entire amount.
Hi Charlesetta, as a travel network we do not set the refundability of a reservation, as this is done at the hotel supplier level. We conspicuously disclose the refundability of a reservation on our checkout summary page before any funds are collected from our customers. Thank you for your statement above.
BookOnline
Upcharge of 52% over the added sum of nightly values advertised. Exceeds what the hotel normally charges by a lot! No value added. Deceiving interface.
Hi L. M., we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, BookOnline must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. BookOnline conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please send us a private message with your reservation information used at the time of purchase and we will respond with the next steps.
Thank you.

I was trying to reach a specific hotel because my spouse was stranded with a flat tire out of state and all the service stations were closed for the night. Looked up the closest hotel and was rerouted to onlinebooking.com. Called to reserve, and had to hang up to call my spouse, only to find out that when he went to check in, they said he had not paid, so they charged him in person. When we told them we had already paid, they said we had to get the refund through the site. To be fair it was cheaper in person than on the site, but now I have spent 40 minutes on hold, and three separate attempts to call which ended with disconnection on their end, trying to get this resolved. Found the number I had called initially rerouted to a service unaffiliated with the first service, said they could not help me, then gave me the number that is only for new reservations again. This is obviously a predatory tactic taking advantage of people who are already experiencing a difficult situation in unfamiliar territory. If I had taken my own usual advice, I would have seen the 1-star rating on this site and avoided it to begin with.
Hi Sarah, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To be clear, we do not have any affiliation with onlinebooking.com. They disguise the site URL to look like the direct hotel website in Google search. It wasn't until I saw the $150+ "tax and recovery fee" on a $214 reservation that I realized something was off. By then I'd already booked. I canceled the reservation, but the site isn't clear on whether or not they refund the exorbitant fees. For comparison, booking directly on Marriott had $34 in government taxes and fees. Bookonline.com is crazy.

I was able to get the room I booked for 2 nights but they fail to disclose their tax and recovery fees that they charge BEFORE you pay. You think you're getting a good deal until you see the bill. A huge rip off!

Absolute scam. Thought I was booking through Hyatt and the price was $1,500. Then realized I was charged $550 for tax and reservation fees that didn't show up when I was booking. I called and when asked why I was calling I said cancel. They immediately cancelled my reservation without any sort of confirmation and won't give me my money back. I called multiple times and they won't help me. I asked for supervisor and they wouldn't help me. What a horrible experience. Avoid at all costs, they literally stole my money.

There's no way I would EVER use this site again. EVER. Charged me $74.00 fee for using the site. I canceled the reservation and DID NOT get a refund. Site clearly says FREE REFUNDS. Typical Internet SCAM site.

Like others trying to book a room, I was flipped over to this site and scammed out of an additional $$762.15! The charge appeared on my credit card bill, and when I tried to contact the phone number, it was just for reservations and would not give me the option to speak with anyone. Capital One tried to help me recoup my lost money, but in the end they said there wasn't anything I could do. The room charge was $2419. 50 with tax and they added $762.15 for their personal gain. These people are thieves and I want to warn everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. YOU WILL LOSE A GREAT SUM OF MONEY!

Site does not disclose "Tax recovery/fees" prior to purchase. Their tax recovery/fees where 3 times the standard rate if I would have booked thru the hotel website (which I thought I was doing so that is my bad). Reporting to BBB. Sit needs to be shutdown!

This is not the reservation you seek. They use bait and switch to steal your money. Beware of fees and charges

They hijacked the hotel's website (thought I was making directly with Four Points Hotel in San Diego CA) they claim full refund on cancellation, they did not honor! I was more than 30 days out from hotel stay date when I needed to cancel my stay because my dive trip was canceled. *I was told no refund, no credit toward another stay, no rebooking for a future date! More than 30 days out!* Look at all the terrible reviews! A Class Action Lawsuit should be filed against this fraudulent company! Never use Bookonline.com SCAM!

Your fees are 60% of my daily rate. Did not realize I was not booking directly with the hotel. Could have saved $250 booking with Southwest and getting rewards. Can't believe you cannot cancel within one hour of getting confirmation.
Spoke with representative at BookOnLine who charged me 30% higher than the price I received when I called the hotel directly. He also said that I needed to call the hotel to get a rebate for my AARP discount. The hotel told me they could not do anything with the BookOnLine reservation. I cancelled the Book On Line Reservation and made the reservation directly with the hotel. When I cancelled the reservation with Book On Line an hour later, I was informed that they could cancel the reservation but that there was a 30% penalty which would be deducted from my credit card refund. They overcharged me, gave me misleading info, tried to give the appearance that they were representatives of the hotel I had wanted and then wanted me to be penalized $682.20 because I cancelled the reservation. They won't get away with their scam! Stay away! Try to reserve directly with the hotel or with a reputable company like Travelocity, Hotels.com, Travago, or Booking.com.If BookOnLine does not retund the entire charged amount, I will dispute the payment with my credit card company. Who told me they would stop payment. BookOnLine should pay me for the frustration they caused and all the time I wasted. They do not deserve any stars!
Answer: SCAM. Huge Fees, no refunds. Would NOT recommend. Do yourself a favor and Pass by when you see this site.
Answer: Agreed! WHY? Absolutely the most blatantly deceptive company I have ever come across.
Answer: I'd love the answer to this! This agency fraudulently charged us $1800!
Answer: Make sure you are booking directly on the hotel's website.
Answer: I was just too tired to drive 90 minutes home. I needed to be back to this area really early in the morning, so I saved 3 hours of driving time and got a good night's sleep also!
