We have booked with them and had a very very bad experience
They book a room and cancel it and put you into another room for a fee
There are cameras installed in the rooms which they never tell you about
Do not use them!

I've been using Booking.com as a host for some time, but a recent incident has seriously shaken my trust in the platform.

I had guests book my property through Booking.com who failed to provide adequate identity verification. First of all I want to clarify that I have been a Booking customer for years, I have always used it for my travels and see that when the customer needs you you don't help him! I called Booking.com because I needed help with a reservation, my flight was delayed and they didn't accept check in after midnight so in order not to sleep outside I tried to contact the property several times to see if I could to check in or not, without having any answer, I then called Booking's customer service and the lady assured that she would do her best to find a solution but this was not the case! After spending more money to find another room you send me an email to tell me that I will no longer be refunded! It's a joke! I trusted Booking.com and you greatly disappointed me! I work hard for my money and expect others to do it too, instead of getting paid for an empty room

4 flawless experiences, then 1 scam

Because of the "environmental fee" that Hotel Aeropuerta in Cabo tried to charge me after I booked my reservation but before checking in, I chose not to stay at that hotel despite it being no -refundable. Because Booking.com condoned this occurrence and would not refund, comp, or work with me at all about it I will never use Booking.com again. I will not be swindled or scammed.

I had a reservation to a hote in yonkers in New York,the hotel give my room to the refugees an cancel my reservation without any notice.
I got to New York at 1 o'clock in the morning and I have no place to stay. Tried contact booking and nobody answered.

HORRIBLE customer service. They gave me the run around for 6 months, even my bank said they were giving me the run around. Then, they closed my complaint so they got away with taking $500+ from me, for now. I'm working on legal action now. DO NOT US BOOKING.COM.

Absolute rip off

I paid 461$ a night for a superior room at the Carnegie Hotel for a superior room, instead I got a standard room facing a brick wall for which the hotel charged 306$ a night! I will never use them again, to be avoided at all cost this is the third time I have a dreadful experience with them, you should call the hotel direct! Stay well clear

We booked a vacation through booking.com to Gettysburg Virginia June2-5. We couldn't go due to my husband becoming ill.
We tried to cancel, but was told that we couldn't with out the confirmation number and PIN. We thought we had lost it somehow.
Well, guess what my husband just received in his email on June 7. Booking.com just sent us our confirmation email.
Too late for us. Lost all the money. I will never book a vacation on one of these sights again

Hello! We have been long time clients with booking.com and used their platform in the past for our travel booking. We trusted the platform to be genuine, transparent and belief that they value customer relations.
However recent incident came as a shock to us. We had booked property in USA initially for 4 nights, then we changed to 3 nights. The changes were made, and confirmation email was send to us stating the revised price.
When we checked in the property manager, informed that price is higher than quoted for the stay. The property manager mention that booking.com was informed about the price and they need to inform the client. Unfortunately, we were not informed of the price hike.
The joke is when I called booking.com, one of their agent Ms. Riya spoke to me and told me that they will find another property. Seriously we had 15 hours of flight and 3 hours by car to reach my destination My whole family with me, at that state really do anyone want to relocate?
Because of error or miscommunication by booking.com they decide where we will stay. Anyways then we spoke to another agent Mr Jayvee and he assured that booking.com will compensate, we should go ahead with the stay.
I send bookimg.com the email with all details along with bank statement. As excepted from very unprofessional company they replied that property owner has declined our request. Then called again and one of their agent Ms Siena (hope I got the spelling correct), was extremely rude and said that since we refuse to change the property they can't do anything about it…
Really is this our fault to trust booking.com? Is this our fault that we did not agree to change the property and let them decide where we will stay?
The is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Any business word to mouth is the best marketing but sadly lost one old client.

Reserved rental car at Chania Airport, Crete/Greece. First time it automatically picked a wrong airport. Second went through but on arrival, there was no Exer rental car office or booth. No one met us despite pre-arrival promise from email, and flight number was provided. Complaint was made. Five different individuals responded without refund resolution. Online system automatically filled pick up and return time to be 10:00 am, and 10:00 am. It is a joke. Booking.com sucks, yeah!

I was told by two booking.com employees I would receive a full refund after a horrible stay at a hotel called The Dunes Inn and Suites, Tybee Island,GA that I booked through booking.com services and then I didn't get responses. I have called, emailed and messaged multiple times through the app and your employees gave nothing but false promises. You support hotels infested with bugs and mold rather than the consumer. Booking.com is a garbage service with garbage customer service and I will be reporting the BBB.

This site is only a cheater. I book a hotel in Queenstown, NZ for our Nz trip in april 2023,that booking has a cancellation fee of 500Nzd, you pay 700 and if you cancel the booking you will receive only 200 refund. Well we are sure about the travel date so we booked it. After all things finalized, I realize the booking date were on May, not April. That is impossible that I made such mistake. I contact the Hotel and then they agree to waive the cancellation fee and they will give me full refund. They ask me to contact Booking. Com for that refund. But since that day, Booking. Com is un contactable! They did not reply my email! They just took the money and ran! I suspect that the mistake on that booking date is manupulated by them in order to rob people! So your guys steer away from them, they are just cheaters.

HongKong Tuyi Business Travel Limited is a "third party" which uses Booking.com name and platform to book hotels and stuff. Turns out that when conflict arise, Booking.com turns their back on you saying they cant help since the booking was made by "that" crapy company. But wait, who's the platform owner?

Booking.com not a trusted web site anymore.
Wrong information about the property location & facilities.
I was a loyal customer of booking.com but my last experience in Sri Lanka has been dissapointing.
I had to cancel 2 seperate bookings the reason being not as promised while booking.
I one case I was made to pay cash in full at the venue when I was refused Wifi connection & also A/c as mentioned on my booking. Besides the location was far from what was mentioned on booking.com
Sorry to say this but the helpline till dated has not done anything about this.

The website said I could cancel my reservation the day of arrival and when I tried the link to cancel it didn't work and I tried to chat and ask for help but it didn't work neither. I contacted customer service and they said why would help but the next day they sent an email saying they couldn't help. It was my first and last experience with this platform; it is not reliable and you may waste your money. I am very disappointed. I was charged by the hotel. I called the hotel and they said something completely different from what Booking.con had on their website (false/inaccurate advertising).

I had a problem with the hotel I checked in through booking.com. I paid security deposit to the hotel and up until now they are not returning the money back. It's already more than 2 mos. I tried to message the customer service of booking.com but they are repeating the same questions and I keep answering those but they are not responsive at all. Not helping with my concern.

I booked a room at a discounted rate and once the booking was confirmed the following day I recieved a message that the price was an error and they cannot honour it. Once a customer makes a booking then it should be honoured but booking.com seem to think it's ok to just cancel the booking altogether.
