The first year is all included. Then you have to pay for everything separately. The emails always are in spam. The protection of the web page is really bad... I am looking forward to end my contract.
Not happy at all.
Very poor support lately. I had spent 2 days amounting to 2 hours of waiting, support staff closing chat early without letting me explain more, repeated login issues, a nightmare. I kept getting bland apologies but no one is going to compensate for my lost time and stress. Very disappointed with Bluehost overall and actively looking for alternative hosting services
The UI change is one of the worst managed I have ever seen after many years in IT. There are constant changes without much communication. The changes have caused us delays, both for us owners and with our employees. It is taking up way too much time to figure out how to do basic things like accessing your webmail site. Hours and hours wasted in a small company ends up with quite some impact but it also takes time to move everything to another service provider.
Your pricing strategy is very unclear and some of the addons really unnecessary, selling people something they cannot use or don't need.
Having a lot of trouble so far 👎🏻 cannot log directly into Wordpress have to log in through bluehost and it's delaying me something fierce as the user back end is confusing to me. I wish I could just build my site with Wordpress app it would b so much easier, I can't get any progress made it's so frustrating and defeating. Help! 👎🏻
I've used Bluehost for several sites (private and com) and have had a great experience creating, managing and transfering sites. Would recommend it specifically for beginner level creators and maintainers
I'm not sure what happened with Billing, but that almost gave me a heart attack. I'm glad my card had expired so that I wasn't charged all those fees. I don't know why they were added on, but it was resolved.
I've been using your hosting service for many years, but now the price increase is absolutely ridiculous so I'm unfortunately going to have to leave and find another hosting company. I notice that there's been a change in ownership of the company and that the price hikes followed that. Makes me wonder how many other changes there's going to be and therefore much longer you're going to be recommended by wordpress.
I have been unable to access my primary email address of 20+ years for 6 days and I am missing critical emails. Have spent numerous hours reaching out for support and following up. I can't get resolution and no ETA has been provided.
Awful. Avoid at ALL costs.
I have my entire business set up on bluehost. Tons of different websites, spent 10s of thousands on SEO to get the ranked. Plus currently spending thousands on ads to these same websites for various customers.
I've had it 4 times now where all of my websites will be randomly down for no reason. I randomly discovered it each time so likely they were down for days, all while I was spending money google ads to these very sites.
I complained to Bluehost every single time, each time they promised me a full refund + compensation for my lost ad spend and the only thing i have ever received from them after months of dealing with them was an extra free month of hosting ($10 value in exchange for thousands of dollars lost).
Completely unacceptable, disgusting business practices, breaking their promises and lying to their customers. Avoid ad all cost.
As a long-standing customer of Bluehost, it's disheartening to witness their services deteriorating over the years. There was a time when I would have rated their support and service as impeccable, a solid 10 out of 10. However, the quality has significantly declined, leading me to now rate them a disappointing 0 out of 10.
The core issue lies in their technical support. The frequent response to technical inquiries seems to be a vague and unhelpful statement about waiting for an unspecified amount of time for changes to propagate. What's more frustrating is that, even after several days, the initial problems persist, only to be met with further delays and excuses from the support team.
Given the importance of reliable and efficient customer support in web hosting services, I find it necessary to advise potential customers to consider other options. If you value consistent and effective support, Bluehost may no longer be the reliable provider it once was.
Too much information thrown at me from the outset. Very confusing, especially if not that tech savvy. Do not know where Bluehost end and Wordpress begins to start with... I will get there, but I think you could have made it easier.
I'm still learning and everything seems so confusing. I've made some stupid mistakes but honestly the help that I get from customer service is the best. It's quick and can solve all my problems with just 5 minutes. Wouldn't switch this platform-
Pretty much a terrible user experience unless you're familiar with Wordpress. I've had blogs before but never WP. Either you have to spend more on their support services (they're always upselling) or figure it out yourself. I didn't have the budget or bandwidth for either.
Your services has been terrible. This is my first time trying Bluehost and they have charged my card for a service I am not even able to access. I just spent over an hour on the phone with customer support after being told it would take a few minutes to look into and then nobody returned.
Feel like my websites are being throttled. Load speeds are poor even by Basic hosting standards.
Also, my "free" SSL keeps expiring which breaks my site because of an error with SiteLock. Have called/chatted 6 times on this issue and still not resolved.
Terrible experience. I already called them 5 times about site being unresponsive all of a sudden. Everything they said somebody will call me to fix it. I can not even log into my wordpress from bluehost portal.
The great thing about Bluehost is that it has a wide variety of options at an affordable price. It offers three main business niches, with different pricing plans according to said niches. These include shared hosting, online stores, and managed WordPress
Bluehost is slow and sluggish. Every time I create a new website my data files gets directed to a temp folder and the SSL cert does not apply automatically. I have wasted hours with tech support bc of this ongoing issue.
Extreme issues in connecting to server for email. Several error messages. Have tried clearing cache, restarting computer, running software updates, etc. Has been slowing my business responses down significantly. By the time I was connected to anyone, I had my next appt. Just very frustrating.
Some of the things Bluehost offers interfere with what I already have set in place or has hindered me from making custom changes within my site. For example, Website Builder did both, so I tore down my website, and started all over without it. What a hassle!
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
