Bluehost has been an amazing hosting provider, their customer service is exceptional, and I've never had any server issues! Any tech problems I usually have caused myself, and they are always happy to help me!
When you have a problem, be ready to wait FOREVER to get help. If you are on the chat, it will arbitrarily cut you off after a few minutes. Then, you get to start all over again! If you'd rather call, be ready for some heavy wait time, interrupted buy a rude "all of our agents are helping more important people than you" message. I have customers to help. The "new" layout is a dud. Now, I can't find some of my projects because they pointed them to incorrect software, but there is no help. I need a company that has good support when they screw up like this. I've had an account for years, but I'm changing to another provider and do not recommend Bluehost.
Each time I've tried to get on the last few times, I've not been able to. I've had to change passwords or even call. This time I called and it had to be reset three or four times. Not sure if the woman on the phone thought I am an idiot who can't type or just can't digress from the script. I typed in the password that I just made and it did. Not. Work. Each. Time.
SO FRUSTRATING! 1. when i click on the email, there is a glitch that takes me to hosting. 2. My account was being charged $600 for a website renewal that was originally $12.3. When I tried to look at what the charges are for each domain, i won't show me the amount!
I have 3 websites and I was charged for 7 times. My experience has been terrible. Stealing from your customers is a bad idea! I want my money returned to me today for the 4 websites that I do not have.
As a new person it's hard to get started. I used the profile from Blue Host for mail on my apple devices. Now I am getting "Cannot Verify Server" *bluehost not trusted. You need to contact them about many things. So far it's slower than I hoped. Let's hope these are teething issues!
I'm having a really hard time navigating the user interface at Bluehost. I also dislike that you can only purchase an annual versus a monthly shared hosting plan, given my budget. I wish many features of Bluehost could be more transparent and easier to navigate for first-time users.
Continuous issues today - transferred my domain from wordpress to bluehost as I had read positive things about bluehost website hosting packages. Issue after issue with domain name, website editing, error messages, payments - not good at all. Very poor customer service on live chat with extremely slow replies and minimal help offered
I'm not technical. So, when I heard how easy it was to run a blog with Bluehost on your side, I decided to go for it. Other than the "very" polite, and patient customer service, and choice of texting, or calling, it wasn't worth the amount of time I had to learn. In my opinion, as a "beginner", you should already have some kind of knowledge, (even if it's minimal) before thinking it's as simple as it seems. Try to hold off on spending the money if you can. From what I understand, WordPress is free and you can always add things later. But, don't take my word for it. Remember - I'm a beginner. ;)
I'm finding the search feature a nightmare. I'm literally trying to link the pages on my site with hyperlinks, and I can't find up-to-date resources. It's extrememly frustrating. Plenty of up-selling ads though...
Have been trying to access my email address on other devices. Microsoft office is giving me problems. I have called and talk with several different people here at bluehost. I can't pull up my business name in the google engine.
Nothing specifically negative or positive to note. Site setup seems more complicated than necessary, with conflicting messages given in host portal versus site itself, and incompatibility between plugins needed for site features.
Very unhappy since i used your migrate like 10 days ago and my sites still not working and i called in many times and no one really helped sofar, most likely change the hosting once everything start working, if ever does.

Your system moves way too slowly. Your representatives are talking to multiple customers at one time which causes a decline in customer care. Your services aren't that great. One example is your spam filter option. I wish I would've gone with another hosting company. I paid thousands for the website to be built and I didn't even rank. I had to hire someone else who knows what they're doing and I was ranking inside of week. That's just naming a couple.
My credit card was stolen and I didn't realize I needed to update card for your billing. It would have been nice to know that you had a billing issues, which I could have corrected quickly, instead of just stopping my service.
Will be in touch... basically trying to move an email account here from a provider who is going out of business. Been doing this type of thing for years but find it hard to get to the settings I need to accomplish this. Maybe too dumbed down with marketing stuff and not enough info on how to do this simple task.
I am trying to change my primary e-mail address: I did it yesterday with a customer service person on the phone with me, but today (>24 hrs later) it still hasn't changed. Also the new address I entered did not change.

The hosting is great and best but the email always has issues. Since it is vital to my organization, I wish the email issues were solved, the emails we send are delivered after a few hours and raised a lot of tickets for this too.
Dreadful interface. Bluehost generated some random temp domain instead of linking to my purchased domain. Website I built disappeared after tech support fiddled with something... Will have to start from scratch.
Your site has never actually had the correct feedback / error messages for my account. In almost two years, I still get constant error messages that aren't mine and can't submit help tickets effectively etc. Just generally second rate. Still the baseline service does work and is doing its job.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
