5 stars for Bikes Direct. I ordered a $550 Motobecane mountain bike. The bike arrived in 4 days, 3 days earlier than the shipping estimate that I received with my order confirmation. The package had heavy damage on one of the corners from what looked like a drop during shipping. The drop had caused damage to a clip on the front of my fork and deformation of the rotor on the front wheel. I sent an email to Bikes Direct and they immediately got back to me letting me know that a new disk and fork clip were on the way and provided a tracking number. Thanks Bikes Direct! As for the rest of the bike, everything checked out against the specs that were listed on the Bikes Direct website. I've used many of the same components before and everything looks to be in great, working condition.

Just bought a Gravity2 29er. The shipping took 4 business days -- site indicated 3-7 days. The bike was 90% assembled as the site indicated. It took me 1 hour to fully assemble with nothing but an allen wrench (oh yeah -- the pedals required a open end wrench), including adjusting the brakes, inflating the tires and adjusting the seats and bar. The shifters took a small adjustment on front and rear derailers. This was so easy. I had originally planned to take to a bike shop, but no need to spend the extra $70-$100. The bike is perfect for the money considering the components. Great experience.

I just purchased a road bicycle from BikesDirect and after unpacking it, I noticed that one of the dropouts on the fork was damaged (bent). I took a couple pictures and emailed them to BikesDirect. I received a reply from Larry@ BikesDirect the next business day, saying that they are express mailing me a new fork, to take my new bike to a local bike shop to have them install it, and BikesDirect will reimburse me for it! Larry (and the whole gang) at BikesDirect really provide over-the-top customer service. -- By the way, my new BikesDirect bicycle is replacing another BikesDirect bicycle (a hybrid) I bought from them seven years ago.

I work at a bicycle shop in niagara falls NY. I needed a derailleur hanger and the bicycle company referred me to your department and website. Larry helped me out and was quick to let me know what hanger I needed. It arrived today and was the wrong piece. After emailing back to Larry he quickly realized he had sent the wrong hanger and told me that bikes direct was sending the correct one at no extra cost! Thanks to Larry and the rest of the crew at bikes direct for helping. I will order more products just from the excellent customer service you have

I received my bike from Bikes Direct last week. The bike arrived Via FedEx Ground, with the box having incurred some damage during shipping. The bike was in great shape, with the exception of a minor chip on the downtube of the frame. I contacted customer service with photos via E-Mail regarding this problem.

Larry from Bikes Direct responded immediately to my inquiry in regard to the problem and explained that the chip was only cosmetic. Compared to other companies' customer service practices, Bikes Direct customer service was prompt and professional.

I now have an awesome, new bike purchased at a great price. I look forward to riding it for years to come. Thanks Bikes Direct for a great product and to Larry for the exceptional customer service!

Bought a new bike from BikesDirect.com and the sales and shipping went well but after... Putting the bike together had many issues including "trueing" the rims because they were not straight. This is not an easy task and certainly not for a novice.
I brought this to the attention of BD and they said this is normal for shipped bikes.
So we had to take the bike to a bike shop and have them fix it. In the end it would have been way less hassle and cost just buying form the bike shop. We used San Tan Bikes in San Tan Valley AZ. They were awesome and the cost was very reasonable. They said that the bike had many problems. Hope this helps someone.

I have bought 6 bikes from Bikes Direct in the past 3 months. They are as good as big box stores, only you pay a lot less! These bikes come mostly built, but you will need to install a few parts and you may need to adjust a derailleur, nothing major. Their customer support team is also great. They once took care of me when an ebike motor controller shell was cracked in shipment, and they quickly sent me a replacement. Another time, I had an issue with a tire. Which may had been my fault.
Larry from the Warranty department took care of me. He got me Maxxis Ikon tires at their dealer cost (a steal) and sent me a really nice bonus gift! I cannot say enough good things about this company. Do not hesitate to buy from them. Don't just take my word for it, feel free to also check other reviews here and on YouTube. You will find almost all reviews are positive!

Bikes Direct is legit! I ride hard and had some complications with my CF frame. In this Pandemic and with all the bike shortages. LARRY! My savior, shipped a new setup in no time! I was back riding in as long as it took to ship. I packed up my bike and sent it back no charge. And Larry sent me a new boxed up bike! No need to by a bike that cost you an arm and a leg when you can buy a bike for half the price that rips just as hard as my buddies Scott or Yeti. Bikes Direct and LARRY ARE FOR REAL!

I ordered the Motobecane Fantom Cross Pro. Everything came as advertised. The only tool I needed other than Allen wrenches and a screwdriver was a set of star heads to screw on the front brake disc. I've taken the bike on several short rides (10-15mi) and raced it twice. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Hesitated ordering from BD for several years. Decided to bite the gullet and purchased a Motobecane Titanium. So far, very pleased with the bike - it compares quite favorably with pricier competition. Researched everything quite thoroughly before ordering, including the frame manufacturer; bike arrived promptly and was as described on the web site. I did have an issue with a ding in one rim and some cosmetic scratches on a decal Likely from shipping. Sent photos to BD customer service and received a quick reply from Larry. A fair resolution was offered which I accepted. Post purchase customer service is very important to me. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Bikesdirect.

I was looking at Bikesdirect bikes for a long time and weighing between them and a few other online dealers. I purchased the HAL6 PRO because I couldn't find a better deal and the geometry fit my body type. I had somewhat lower expectations because their website seemed dated but I trust Paypal and they used it. However, I received my package on time and the bike was in perfect condition. After several ride I'm very pleased with the bike.

I ordered a Wellington 2.0 bike as advertised which was delivered in the communicated amount of time. Upon assembly, I noticed that the derailleur hangar was bent. I took pictures, e-mailed the service department at Bikes Direct, and within a short period of time, Larry sent me a new hangar to fix the problem. From this first experience in buying from Bikes Direct, this type of service and responsiveness makes Bikes Direct a great company. I will definitely purchase from BD again in the future when I need another bike and will definitely recommend this company to others. Thanks Larry and the BD team!

Purchased a bike from this website, Told me they are in stock and will be shipped in 3-7 business days. Once I purchased it, it then notified my in my receipt the estimated ship date is 2-3 months later because of high numbers of orders. Extremely disappointed they didnt make me aware of this before purchase, as I would have holded off until winter to purchase for next spring. Wont even have the bike until late september and I live in nothern NY. Thats end of biking season.

I bought the white one 56cm. It arrived pretty quickly and set up was ok out of the box. I have another bike (cervelo r3) that I use for road biking. This is for my 2 kms commute to work. I had some bike gear from that bike to swap into this one as upgrading parts is always nice. I swapped out the pedals for some bigger ones for $10 (sunlite nylon sport) which give a much better support. I also put on some other wider tires than the ones that came with it. I found communication with the store through Larry was fine. I really like the bike and I use it also for riding around Central Park after work with my kid.
