BBB farce
March 3, 2022

I'm so sick and tired of review sites like the BBB picking and choosing their published reviews, somehow leaving out certain reviews for select companies. How does this continue to happen.

I'm not sure if the BBB does this but I'm ready to find out. I had a tooth murdered by Aspen Dental, so no I don't think they deserve a perfect score anywhere.

Does anyone else have interest in helping start up a class action lawsuit against review sites that accept payment in return for the removal of real reviews. No not those sickening sweet FAKE reviews very unethical dental companies plant online to counteract the thousands of new reviews posted each year. Find us on Facebook under the real ADMI or Aspen Dental Mass Invasion. We are also seeking an attorney to help our cause.

I went to buy a car and the salesman Sam was selling religion and gave my wife and I a bible from his church. He used his religion to lie to us. Nothing he said was true I caught him in so many lies. I bought the vehicle and got the heck out of there.

I had an issue with a security firm and could not get a hold of anyone to help. I filed a complaint with BBN and they resolved it to my satisfaction. Thank you!

The BBB is a joke
February 12, 2015

The BBB is a joke. Nearly anyone can just shell out some money to become accredited with them. I've seen plenty of companies with hundreds, if not thousands of reviews with A ratings and other companies, with less than 20 complaints with terrible ratings. It makes no sense. Just a scam to get money and ruin reputations.

After doing some research BBB starts your rating at C until you pay then you are automatic A-. This was covered on ABC News 20/20. Just do a search on Youtube.

We have a local dentist that received many complaints from customers and some of the complaints were on BBB. BBB is a joke. BBB doesn't resolve issues at all. To make it worse BBB only keeps complaint for 3 years.

I also recently tried to file a complaint on BBB about a lawyer who scammed me. BBB said they don't handle complaints about lawyers. BBB is a joke now. It once was great defending customers but their glory days are over.

The Association of Retired People magazine is not known for controversial articles. They had one about the BBB that made them out to be not much better than an extortion racket.
In sum, you pay their very hefty monthly fee and they give you an A rating despite negative consumer reviews. You do not pay and they give you a bad rating.
Certainly this is the case with a site called Bonanza. Bonanza has 90% negative online reviews, including those sent to the BBB, but Bonanza replies to its consumer critics that it has a A+ BBB rating.

BBB is full of $#*!
July 11, 2022

I always thought the BBB was a responsible ethical business it's not. Not only did I file a complaint against the company I actually had proof documented. The BBB chose to completely ignore it and allow an admittance of "misappropriation of funds" to literally be admitted to and still did nothing about it. This is actually sickening. I even tried to contact them about this by phone. They called back stating you will receive an email NOTHING still. This is a business supposedly held in high regard of making sure businesses are run properly while they can't even run themselves properly. The BBB is to do proper investigation on information that they are reviewing when investigating
A businesses. They do not! Do not be fooled. Business can "say " what they want no matter how much "proof" you have in black and white shame on you BBB. Shame on you BBB!

I am writing this because people need to know the truth. Yes, kidscasting is just a network BUT they are dishonest and not legit. They steal audition calls from companies and casting directors who post them for FREE. They post them long after roles have been cast. Yes, you may see reviews from parents saying good things but they are praising the fact that they got to do pay to plays mostly. You should NEVER pay to walk a runway, have an agent, or audition for anything. There are free networks like Actor's Access that post breakdowns for free. The agencies kidscasting advertises are the Scammy ones who run photo mill scams and are not legit. When you sign up for their network your information has now been sold to every scam artist in the business. Stay away! Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YlZ_srT6e4

I have a personal training business. I was contacted by them about being accredited. After the pitch of $500 per year and another $450 per year to use their web logo, I declined. I have a static site and I'm a personal trainer. My business is word of mouth basically. Well, I was listed with a C within a week. I asked why they listed me at all since I work from home and the gym and they said because I was incorporated. I said, "Why am I a "C"? They said because I was a new, small business that wasn't accredited! WOW... so now if someone looks up my business I look mediocre. I have worked hard for the last 3 years at my business and I find this to company to be an insult to business'.

Dear BBB,
I have repeatedly informed you that Yahoo U.S. did not provide the required information. If Yahoo U.S. give me something that has nothing to do with my request, then how could it be considered "answered".
By the way, could you please explain what the definition of "answered" is? Is BBB considering that even if Yahoo provides me with a reply that doesn't make any sense, it is considered "answered" and the request is fulfilled?
I have firmly informed BBB that you should not publish this case as "answered". I hope the BBB will be fair in your conduct. You claim you will help/ensure the victims/consumers receive fair treatment from the service providers, but are you really being fair in this case? You keep siding with Yahoo U.S., although they didn't perform their job. Please read all their emails to me and see how rudely and badly they are answered. Is this considered "answered" for you?
You may close this case, but not with the remark "answered". I am strongly against publishing this case with an "answered" status. Otherwise, I will need to lodge an official complaint with the BBB for not being fair but claiming to be one just for your publicity. I will post my review on BBB for this matter as well if you post this case as "answered". Since I lodged this case, I must agree with BBB for you to place this case in "answered" status. I believe the BBB will practice integrity in handling any cases. I will not contact the BBB for any service provider-related matters, as I feel you are not being fair in your conduct in this matter.

I had to file a complaint against Anker Technologies for their shoddy business practices during the Covid mess. These are the infamous wireless earbud people. This was June 2021, so fairly recent. BBB sends me system email updates that my "complaint is under review and someone will follow up" Then two other emails stating my complaint is marked 'invalid' because it was a duplicate. WTH. I click the links to see their automated response, including a cheap "apology" from Anker. But no option to proceed. So basically Anker STILL has my money, and I won't hold my breath that I'll ever get it refunded!

I put in a complaint with the BBB against FedEx three times in less than a month because FedEx failed to deliver perishables 3 times in a row and the items were all ruined. The BBB did not do anything and basically stated, "Fed Ex's financial responsibility for a shipment tendered into their custody lies with the shipper, the party who paid for Fed Ex's services. You will need to contact the shipper for restitution. If the company who shipped the item will not cooperate with you, you may file a BBB complaint against them." This idiot, named Luke M, closed out another complaint because it was detailed with the listed FedEx tracking numbers and stated that it was a duplicate, which was not true. So, he wasted my time and I had to submit another complaint with less detail. He ended up closing my last complaint because I rejected FedEx's response.

This site is useless for judging a company's good standing in trade - any company can go and pay them and they will give them an A- rating. I have had unpleasant surprises from purchasing from companies who supposedly have a "BBB" A rating.

A site that's sole purpose is to be able to leave reviews, would not let me leave a review. Simply didn't do anything when I would hit submit. Leaving a review for ATT, which already has many bad reviews. Did BBB stop taking bad reviews because ATT asked them to?

I just called BBB to ask exactly what they do exactly, besides just send out a complaint email to the shotty business you can complain about and email yourself... Some EXTREMELY rude ratchet answers my call, constantly I interrupts me, cuts me off, speaks over me, etc., and then hangs up on me! What is this world coming to? Is this my karma? Am I just crazy? I was gyped out of $15 that I will never see again. That might not mean a lot to you, but when you think of just how many times a business gets away with $15-$20 here and there, that adds up to one big fat pretty penny REAL QUICK... but there's absolutely nothing anyone can do for you, unless maybe you can afford a crazy good lawyer

I'm not a fan of this organization. Anyone can pay them to be accredited or approved by them and as long as you keep paying their fee you're accredited. Simple mafia tactic only when you don't pay they don't destroy your shop. They just mark you as unaccredited and might give you a bad review. If this organization was government controlled (which would never happen because of possible reperocussions) then maybe they would have MY approval. Also, FYI to all of you out there any idiot can pay some joe schmo to approve of his business, it still doesn't prove that they are legitimate.
