I can not believe the total amount of complete incompetence, rudeness, and unprofessionalism shown by any singular company on the planet.
I experienced things with Bark.com in the last two weeks that you could not possibly make up.
My first take on it when I viewed the leads was they looked so vague and incomplete I had already moved on to another leads company, however, they made me a 50% offer on the credits, so I thought I'd take a shot with them. Big mistake.
First off, they promise at least 10 or more leads in their starter packs.
I ended up with 8 leads, and six of them turned out to be completely fake ads, that had the word "Verified" beside them.
As I found out later, a lot of people just give fake information only to look at the inside of Bark, and the word verified is meaningless.
Each time I realized an ad was fake, and reported it, the minimum wage inexperienced staff members would rather pick a fight insisting I prove it was fake, rather than do their own investigation, which was pretty easy to do.
As of today's date, only 3 of the 6 fake ads have been returned in credit.
Where are all the employees? Other than the one rude obnoxious email opener, I've tried calling over five different times and sent over 20 emails in two weeks with only three of the emails replied to.
Bark is a total train wreck. I can not see this company lasting more than another year.

I've written some good reviews for Bark and I'll leave them be. Today though I am disappointed. I used up two paid leads at a cost of $148 (quite cjeap by Bark standards!). You win some lose some as expected. But these leads never gave anyone a chance. Here are the responses I got (eventually):
"Hi Keith Thankyou the job is no longer required" and
""Hi Keith, sorry I'be cancelled my request."
So as you can see, I didn't lose on a bid - these clients simply withdrew from wanting a job done. I never even got to put in a quote. Clearly, they were not serious leads - but the price was damn serious.
I tried to get a refund on these false leads and was told:
"We will not return credits in the following circumstances:
1. The mobile number has been verified (they do verify numbers and emails)
2. You make contact with a customer, but do not secure the job
3. The contact information is valid but the customer does not respond"
Point 1 is meaningless really - a number has no value if it's not answered.
Point 2 seems fair, but isn't if the customer hires nobody and gives no one a chance to quote.
Point 3 is a real stinker and unethical. You can pay up to $120 for one lead and that's actually OK as long as they (Bark) take care of lead quality - and they don't beyond initial contact details.
So. Having just purchased another $500 of credits I'll see how it goes and then review my commitment.
I'm really very sad about this - as I said, I've left them some very good reviews in the past - and they were justified, just as this bad review is justified now.

Do not waste your money! They automatically renew your credits even though I disabled the auto renew. Charged me £164 without prior permission. I call that FRAUD. Sending you loads of emails with what I believe are FALSE LEADS to entice you to reply. Then no response from any.! The ones that replied wanted free advise and crap furniture. NOT FOR PROFESSIONALS. Do NOT trust them. TOTAL SCAMMERS!

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
