I did a free 30 day trial and realized a few days in that this was a scam. I requested to stop the trial and not to be charged (they take your credit card).
They never canceled. After a year of being charged and not using their services I requested again yo cancel and receive a refund. They said I never confirmed a cancellation so they would cancel but not give me a refund. When I said my email that clearly stated I wanted to cancel but not be charged was my confirmation they said I have to reply to their confirmation. This is the shadiest company I have ever come in contact with. DO NOT SIGN UP!
Very disappointed with this website got recommended a roofers got some of the roof work done the company that u recommended never came back to finish repairs, can't get in contact with the roofers never received the cert of them, never return as promised a totall scam. Will never use this service again. Got total ripad off. And paid a lot of money I'm so mad

The service was so quick it was almost unbelievable; Almost immediately I had posted the j job I had many many replies and those to whom I spoke could do the job immediately. There are currently people up on our roof doing the work; Covid19 has obviously caused many problems as there were so many replies, some from long distances.

This note is in addition to my previous note. First, Bark sent me one free potential client. The client's name and phone number were on Google search so I figured he was legit. He claimed he'll pay for my hypnosis services, but I never heard from him again. I paid the $66 Bark wanted for 10 potential leads and over the next few weeks, I got 8 that were within the perimeters of the type of clients I was looking for. Now here's the rub. None of them could be found on Google search, not their names or phone numbers. So I didn't call them. I emailed them instead and never got a reply. This alone leads me to believe that Bark might be a legit company but the potential clients might be typing in fake information just to screw around. Maybe I should call the potential clients making not calling them my mistake and not Bark's. Bark will give me 10 additional free clients if I don't get at least one client out of the first 10 that I paid for. We'll see. I have 2 more clients that don't respond first. Personally, I'm old school. I believe the only real way to get clients is to go door to door and introduce yourself with a business card and a possible flyer with features and benefits. As for my $66 investment, I follow my dad's advice from way back in the 70's. He said "If you've saved enough money that you don't really need and you're going to piss it away (like at Vegas, on an expensive meal out when Burger King would've done just fine), then invest it instead. And if your investment didn't pay off, then what do you care? You were going to piss it away anyway." No truer words were ever spoken.

Be careful when using this company to find work. They wash their hands very quickly if you get connected with a business that has poor practices.
Their system rating is off and easy to manipulate by anyone joining them to find work. We learned this the hard way. We contracted a company that looked like an Elite under their rating to know later that it is easy to earn that title by manipulating the profile and surveys.
I emailed multiple times about the incident, and they ignored every email. I then called to share the practice of this company, and during sharing, the representative hung up. When I finally connected with another representative, he said, "Sorry, it is your job and duty to identify if that contractor will be of good fit or one you can trust."
I used their platform to find a designer and developer to execute a website. Bark represents this particular business since they are in their platform; they are considered an elite in their platform. However, they will not own any misrepresentation. They didn't verify this company, which happens to be a ghost company with no location to pin.
Be careful that they don't have any policies and guidelines that protect us here in the US.

Yet 8 bad reviews over 4 years, 3 of which weren't even my clients! Yesterday I received a bad review not unjustified for my delays in reprinting a menu I've been not well and in hospital, I explained to my client and they seemed ok to wait, then I get a bad review calling me a liar and a thief! I reported this to Bark only to receive an email saying I had several complaints, 5 genuine bad reviews from 540 clients in 4 years, so they withdrew my access and now I can't use my credits I had nor go back on to Bark

Bark.com is a complete SCAM and waste of money! You receive a notification to advise someone is interested in your services and interested in using your business, 10/10 times you will contact these people and get NOTHING back! Ignored phone calls/emails/texts NOTHING. I have wasted hundreds on this site because I am growing a business and it seems like a fantastic idea, WRONG! Its awful! You have to pay SO much money for tokens in order to contact people and like I stated before, you will not receive a response. I bought these issues up to bark.com and they basically told me that it is MY business thats the issue! I have a 5* business rating with HAPPY and returning customers who love me and my services, they did not resolve any of my issues they simply insulted me. AWFUL website AWFUL customer service. Just a complete JOKE! And im sure ANY of the positive reviews above 1 star on here are FAKE and employees of Bark.com writing it themseleves!

I scheduled a home deep cleaning for today 08/31/2023 at 9:30am.At 8:30 I received a text asking if I still wanted a cleaning today. I text yes,please. She text back asking for 10:10 am. I text okay for this one time but we agreed for 9:30 AM She text saying She was waiting on my address. I'm never received that text. I text her

Have never had any communication with this company and have certainly never asked them to "suggest" us to potential clients, nor do we want them to suggest us for a service we do not provide. They are suggesting businesses which they have had no communication with, this clearly tells me BUYER BEWARE - their absence of communication with businesses confirms they do not vet those they are suggesting. Used by scammers to find victims. No checks of any sort of the legitimacy of the business. I got scammed of £3500 by a cowboy building company owned by: Nasy William Smith, posing as Smiths Construction (located at 82 Station Road, Evesham, WR11 7HX) but effectively taking the money for the deposit and doing almost no job. I got left with this at my property, no extension done. See pictures.
Once complained to Bark they just told me they cancelled Smiths Construction account but effectively the fake builder just cancel the account by himself after defrauding 6 customers.
I strongly advise AGAINST using BARK.com.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.

Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
