I spoke to an advisor at Bark.com and informed him that the trader they had connected me with had taken my deposit and was unable to complete the job to the date agreed. I asked what Bark.com vetting procedure was for traders they connected to the public that used their website service. He told me Bark.com did not perform any vetting. Bark.com is an "introductory and marketing" company. I told the advisor I thought Bark.com was the same as a household name company I believed checked traders. The advisor told me I should not compare Bark.com with that company. Therefore, moving forward fellow public read thoroughly Bark.com website before you log your personal details with them which is stored on their database. They then give you details of 'unvetted' traders from their website who may have unethical business practices. To date my deposit has not been refunded.

A few problems of chainsaws miss-behaving at the start of the job, was soon over come, and the beast of our hedge was tamed.

They were rude. They laughed at me during the phone call like my situation wasn't important. They refused to even reason with me about a refund. Scam vibes to me. Customer service is very rude. They will refuse to transfer you to the manager and will constantly read the manual like they're not even listening. Highly would not recommend this experience.

A few days have passed since I bought credits for contact with service providers. I have submitted offers for all loans, I have not received any reply except the main information that the offer does not matter. I wrote to all sms but I did not receive the answer. I called, no one answered the phone. I have exhausted all the credits and decided to give up your offer and I am asking for a refund for credits as you promised during the previous correspondence, I have the impression that email addresses and phones are empty and closed. I have been trying to get android working for two weeks, and every day I speak with a different customer service rep, I have to explain the issue every day to a different customer service rep.
Problem, my child's phone is locked out of all service, I am unable to reassign the device. Bark doesn't provide phone support and there is no way of resolving this issue.
I will try to get my money back, this product isnt ready for release. Worst ever.

Had plenty of responses to enquiry for fencing contractors in CV3 area within a few hours. Arranged for 3 to come and give me a qoute for fence replacement. Travelled from Lincolnshire to Coventry on appointed day. Not one of them turned up or phoned to cancel. Waste of time.

Easy to use for a customer searching for a service provider. However I couldn't help noticing the negative feeback from the actual service provider community themselves. Which is a cause for concern. Having said that, I got a very rapid response from more than 4 potential suppliers, all appeared to be reputable and the one's I spoke with were all very pleasant. The chap I chose did a great job at a reasonable price. Much easier and quicker than Rated People.

I was charged by Bark.us. I absolutely did NOT install it. They suck! There is no way to keep it from being uninstalled & many other things. They are thieves. Do NOT use them. Waste of time too.
UPDATE: This is a company in the UK! My bank fraud division did the research and this is what I was told. They say they are not the same company but they LIE! I attempted to comment to his reply and couldn't and finally can now. Anyways, I have a screenshot from this very company who charged me for an application that I have no need in using. They are thieves and this guy lied big time! LIAR!

I was nervous talking to a business consultant and didn't know where to find one. Bark.com came up and I thought they only worked with business consultants. I requested a quote and didn't hear back but I did get a message from someone who I didn't request a quote from. He was very knowledgeable and we talked for quite a while. He gave me some general advice. I felt he was honest and caring and I very much enjoyed talking to him. I now need to put some money together and then I will be talking to him again.

I had someone reply to my job request. He came out in June 2022 and re-done the whole of my roof above kitchen which lucky is separate to my main roof thank god.
He charged me £3200 for it which I thought was a bit steep for size of roof.
He claimed it was all great and would not leak ever again. He claimed he would send me a guarantee. Which I never received even after contacting him again august. Obviously I'd realised then something was wrong.
October 2022 came and my roof started leaking and he did not reply to any of my messages. In the end the bathroom ceiling got ruined and some of my ceiling in bathroom came down. I kept sending this guy updates on whats app photos even though he continued to not reply.
I have since realised he is a PVC paint sprayer.
Which was on top of his receite. He went by the name of Richard Vinden.
Not a happy customer.
People beware. And vet properly.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
