I tried this garbage. Someone proceeded to book me but as I moved forward they disappeared.
I started to suspect fraud so I called up one of the venues of where a gig was being held. They never heard of the event.
I called back another number and coincidentally, they were just running out.
I think this site is fake and collects money from people looking for work. DO NOT BOTHER. If I had more time, I'd report them and file a case with all my evidence that these guys are BOGUS.
Horrible service and they lie. I have submitted several scam quotes. When you call the number listed you get a message stating this number is not in service. All they do is give your credits back. But what good is that when your losing money for purchasing the credits. Horrible service and I don't encourage any contractor to sign up unless they like throwing away hard earned money. I had no previous experience of Bark and only found them when I did a Google search for a cleaner in Bourne End. Hopefully I have found a suitable cleaner now! This followed many days of asking people if they knew anyone, checking local shop and paper adverts etc. Bark was far easier.

Needed gutters cleaned as they were causing downpours and broken in places. Tom from Clogged Gutters responded quickly to my ad, visited at a time suitable to me to give a reasonable quote, came on the agreed day and completed the work carefully and with respect to my property, which I really appreciated. I joined to gain extra potential clients for photography.
This is one of the 'leads' BARK sent me and expected me to get all excited about and pay £10 to obtain details and phone number.
Obviously they do not check or verify any customers when I get a 'lead' from someone called 'HELLO' and every answer from them is a 'don't know' or 'not sure' on Bark's questionnaire.

I've used bark several times and most of the times I was contacted by people who were professional.
As always please apply common sense when choosing people for work, as some people who contacted me were obviously trying to 'secure' the job and then postpone it.
I always give job to people who keep their word (being on time, contacting as promised) so did not have any issues so far.
My roof is repaired and I can finally sleep without being woke up by dripping water :D.

I wanted a roofer, John Watton came round and sounded like he knew what he was talking about gave a reasonable quote. He then did not do what he said he would do and the cementing he did was done with a terrible mix that is just falling apart after a week. When I called him back he did not want to do a proper job but wanted more money to break other parts of the roof.

Hi. I tried Bark to receive more work.
Spent over $100 on credits. We phoned and called the referrals - No response at all.
Then BARK automatically charged my credit card to top up my account. I had to phone to have the charge reversed - I am still waiting for this to go through.
I do not recommend BARK.

I have already put in a review about bark.com detailing how dishonest bark.com is. My review has been read over 4.75k times.
Bark have continued to allow Ian Hammond Kitchens Ltd to advertise on their website. I sent emails to the CEO of Bark.com Andrew Michael. He did not have the decency to respond to my three emails to him.
Ian Hammond Kitchens Ltd advertises on Bark.com with fake 5 star reviews. This man is a con man. He does not pay tax, as he demands to be paid cash in hand or by bankers draft. His workmanship is of the lowest standard that you could come across (see my previous review of Bark.com). Bark.com continue to allow Ian Hammond Kitchens Ltd to advertise on their website.

I'm a trader through bark, I have spent over £200 in leads credits. The leads are a waste of time m, customers don't answer, or reply to emails (no fault of barks) but nor of my own. When paying £12 a lead at the bare minimum you want a opportunity to quote the works. I have been told to F off by a customer upon sending a text message replying to a lead. Bark will not refund leads if the customers number is active and advise you to keep trying them ( To me this is pestering and becomes cold calling). Bark have refused to refund me and I won't be using them again. And will also be advising any other trades to do the same.

I have my own company. I tried 10 times to get work and they guys charge you $150 to $180 Credits - 100. They send me everytime email he needs work this and that but whenever I used my credit score then they charge me but that people's never ever hire you. Fake website

Had the worst experience of my life am still traumatized with the service i got from one kitchen installer, left my kitchen half done, did a substandard job in my house did not care to come and see the mistakes that the carpenter had done, when i call to check when my kitchen will be done my calls get rejected. It was easy enough to look on the site and to request quotes. I found it a bit difficult to find out why I was not getting quotes for a few days and still don't know. The website gives times for response and none came anywhere near those. Once I was contacted things have progressed smoothly and some of the work has been done well. I have a plan for when the rest will be completed and only then will I make a final judgement..

I feel some of the customer are fake. Who do not respond or have any interest in book your services. I have raised with with bark. They did not respond.
Bark regularly provides customer details but these customers don't even say hello when you contact them.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: I don't think so. They signed me up and sent me a free "lead" I never got a reply to. And then I paid for one credits lead and that didn't get a reply. I then noticed both emails where from the UK. I am a plumber in Canada, but the lead specifically said it was for work in my hometown. Refund policy in place but didn't refund the credits. Not even credited to my account. They also automatically have all my reviews from Yelp, HomeStars etc. that they scraped and posted on their website.

Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.

We can assure you that we do not take part in any fake lead processes. We are an open online public platform where customers place requests for services they require. Our automated system will look fro incorrect numbers and email addresses, however if any leads get reported to us that have been released with incorrect information, or indeed in this case where someone may be testing the system, we will investigate the lead, and shut it down and return credits where the issue has been verified.
