SLOW, deceptive
March 10, 2016

First of all, their ad said "Free shipping, No tax" but I was charged tax. Secondly, I placed an order for one barcode swipe on Feb 18, and only heard from them that they were shipping it on March 10. Really? This company sucks.

I purchased an epson receipt printer from here rather than using the quickbooks POS store to get another receipt printer and it works just fine. Save a few hundred bucks in the process. I think many of these receipt printers all work with todays point of sale bundles and you do not need to get the one recommended and at the high retail price. I should have bought my barcode scanners from this store too but already paid full retail for them.

Their website promises free shipping. They charged $53. Placed the order over the phone at their insistence. Never received any kind of receipt or invoice. Repeated phone calls and emails achieve nothing. I could have paid less and gotten it directly from the company no hassles. Never again!

Too bad their reply is a lie. I have my invoice and credit card bill where they went ahead and charged my card for tax that was not authorized (also their argument was that my modem was shipping in California which is why I was being charged tax ((3 days later)) yet the item came from Tennessee! Shipping was upgraded because they lost the order for 3 days before I messaged them asking where it was. They went ahead and charged my card without my authorization. There is no refund and no credit. Currently disputing the charge any will continue to post about this!

Barcode Giant will give you an invoice that shows the shipping cost as zero, when you make your purchase... and later add on an exorbitant shipping cost and send you a second invoice. Attempting to contact them to cancel or modify the order will result in an inability to contact them until after the item has already shipped... at which time they will point out that it was clearly you who made the mistake that caused the problem.

There are too many good companies out there that aren't involved in deceptive practices. Find someone else to do business with.

The product is fine, however, my low rating is in the lack of customer service. I originally ordered a scanner based on certain specs, but it was the wrong one. I also purchased a 5 year coverage policy. I had to exchange it (which was an easy process) and purchased another 5 year policy for the new item. They refunded me the original price for the product, but not the insurance policy amount. And yes, I was charged again on the newer item for coverage. I have written and called for 2 years, only to hear each time "Oh, I thought that was taken care of".

I ordered a printer from Barcode Giant 2 weeks before Christmas, and after having the delivery date moved back twice, I was informed that Barcode Giant didn't have any clue as to when the printer would actually be delivered. After a month of getting the run around, I finally canceled my order.

This company lists their products at lower prices than they actually sell them. On their Google listing they state that there are no taxes or shipping charges. However; once we got to checkout taxes were added to the purchase, which were waved once we offered a valid resale coupon. This was no big deal, however the major deal breakers were that they stated that they could offer overnight shipping for $98.00 which we were ecstatic about. Come Monday morning we were expecting the printer to arrive. However, to our dismay they called and said overnight shipping would be an additional $2000. Now not only was our product late but we were expected to pay shipping after the fact. We asked for their default shipping option which was advertised as free on the actual product page and they stated that free shipping does not apply to this item. The best that they could do was $500 for economy shipping. Needless to say we cancelled the order and will not be doing business again. Avoid Barcode giant and Barcode discount like the plague.

Terrible Service
May 7, 2019

Purchased a Datalogic scanner from Barcode Giant. On attempting to charge the device it started sounding an error alarm. I reached out to the company and they said that was nothing they'd experienced before and that I'd have to contact the manufacturer. Upon contacting Datalogic, I was advised that the scanner was DOA and the best course of action was to return it to Barcode Giant. Reaching back out to the company, I was told I'd have to pay for another one before an RMA would be issued. With some back and forth, it was agreed that an RMA would be issued and a shipping label emailed, and that the 15% restocking fee would not apply. After waiting 24 hours for the shipping label, I contacted the company again and was informed that it would take up to 5 business days for the RMA to be approved. I can't remember a worse return experience.
