Cancelled orders

I have, over time, bought hundreds of dollars of merchandise from this company. For my sister's birthday I bought a jacket which failed to be delivered and checked status only to find out that it said I cancelled the order which I did not. I ordered a second jacket with next day air, and same thing! Called customer service and they told me they had a new accounting system and refused to make it right! They told me to call and order another one? I'm done with this sham of a company!

Great quality

I have now ordered from them 4 or 5 times. Every single item is excellent quality and fits perfectly, including sandals and boots! I have not had any customer service issues or payment issues.

Quality or lack thereof

I ordered a pair of ladies pajamas and a ladies top. The items arrived in about 10 business days. They were packaged well. That's how they earned the 1 star. Upon opening the box, I found the clothing wrapped in plastic with tissue paper overlay. The clothing was heavy with a chemical almost burned plastic smell and at first, my thought was that the scent was from the plastic bags. No. The odor coming off the clothing was heavy. I washed the clothing on gentle cycle with gentle soap in cold water. It's not every day that I pay over 50 dollars for a pair of pajamas, I want to keep them nice. Dried the items on low. The pajama fabric has an almost crinkle paper feel to it. It's rough upon the skin and just not a joy to wear. The stitching is minimal in amount as if to save money in manufacture. The pajamas run small. Not true to size. The second item so far is okay but ran large. Go figure. Can't win here. I like the color but after just one wash, I can tell the faux embroidery on the outside front is going to be a problem with the curling going on. Stitching along the hems are hit and miss. Looks like it was done at warp speed where it's off in areas on the inside but at least the shirt is soft against the skin! Again, one of five stars. I'm disappointed. I won't return them. They keep 8 dollars, by the way, for a return. Doesn't matter why. Save yourself. Don't order from this company unless you have seen (and touched) the product ordered by another person. I don't mind paying for quality. They would have had a repeat customer in me, had the quality been there. Thank goodness I didn't get the purse I'd looked at as well.

I am very disappointed in the VIP membership listed at the top of the website. I somehow signed myself up for this during Christmas shopping thinking it was a one time fee of $14.95 specifically associated with Back in the Saddle. THIS IS NOT THEIR MEMBERSHIP. Another "rebate company" manages this and charges $14.95 PER MONTH. The first month is free and by the time you have noticed a charge you don't recognize they have made quite a bit of money for absolutely nothing. It's hard to find what the terms are and impossible to cancel without calling customer service and stopping the recurring charge. VERY SAD to see that Back in the Saddle puts their name on this and very ANGRY about yet another membership trick. THIS IS NOT YOU, Back in the Saddle. Take this OFF your website!

I placed an order with this company on Cyber Monday, Nov 30,2020. My daughter loved several items in their cataloge. I ordered 3 items that is said was in stock. On Dec 12, I called because I had not recieved my merchandise and was told that 1 item had been dicontiued and the other 2 would be back in stock after the new year. They did not even have the courtesy to email me to tell me that I would not be getting my items. Great customer service!

Membership fees?

I have gotten charged twice for a membership fee from back in the saddle. What the hell is membership for a back in the saddle? I ordered one pair of boots from them, do I have to continue paying just to wear them? Insane? Will never order anything again from them. The boots are great but I just wanted the boots not memberships

I ordered a few things from this catalog. Quality was mediocre. The dress I ordered looked better in the catalog, of course. The fabric was cheap rayon and I could tell it would probably shrink so I returned it. I kept the western shirt, even though that fabric was a stiff hard-to-iron cotton. The hoodie I ordered was cute but the zipper was missing some stitching. I could fix that myself, so I kept it. Return shipping experience: On the first return item I used their return shipping label. They deduct $7.95 from your return, and it took over three weeks for the return to be delivered. (Haven't seen the credit on my account yet). The second item I returned with USPS First Class Package service with tracking and it was $5. That item got there in 5 days. My advice: Don't use their return package label, but if you use USPS, make sure you get tracking. The catalog has alot of cute items but from my experience, I probably won't order from them again.

I have been trying to use a gift card for over a week, and literally countless hours on the phone, and NO ONE can figure out how to apply it. Then they have the nerve to ask for a credit card instead. Really? Worse company ever!

I ordered what I thought were sets of pajamas their website shows a hoodie and pants together. After almost three weeks I finally got the hoodie but no pants. The hoodie cost just under $50. It took me several attempts and over an hour to be answered by customer service only to have them tell me no the pants don't come with that even though they are pictured with the hoodie. The customer service representative was just slightly arrogant. I don't know why it took them that long to answer the phone but when I called to order something someone answered immediately. I also had two other items which they put on backorder that lasted 2 weeks finally it said not picked. At this point I sent an email to their customer service as it showed on their website I got nothing back after 48 hours and it was supposed to be an answer after 48 hours. So I sent in a cancellation but was never sent an email saying but they actually canceled the order. When I finally was able to get them on the phone I was able to confirm that they did cancel it however I plan to make sure that they can't charge anything to my Discover card because I don't trust them. The hoodie I got was beautiful I will admit qualities very nice one shirt that I got from them was not true to size. The other is very nice and it is true to size but I will never order from this company again.

I placed an order for my wife for Christmas. 3 personalized mats all with the exact same farm name. One came in correct two were wrong. They replaced the wrong ones but charged my account for them even after the wrong ones were returned and i was assured that I would not be charged again. After a month we got it all straight i thought. Then just last week (this is February now) I get an email from them saying my order is on the way, WHAT ORDER? I called again and was assured again that it was just a email sent by mistake and no charges would be placed on my account. Today I checked my bank account and there is a charge from this dumb $#*! company. And i just got an email from fedex saying a package is coming. Now I'm waiting on another refund. As soon as my bank opens i will call and place a permanent STOP payment on this company and I will never do business with them again. DUMB DUMB DUMB and extremely incompetent!

I can not recommend backinthesaddle.com... the vip club is a scam. The shipping is too expensive to make their clothes a fair value. The vip club is so slow and difficult that you may never collect any refund. I feel cheated.

Buyer Beware

I can not recommend this company. After 3 months I noticed they have been deducting 15.99 out of my account for their "VIP program" which I did not ask for. I called them and they did refund my money. However, because of this I have lost faith in them. I can't order from them anymore because I don't trust them. Aside from all of this, their items take a very long time to arrive, and while they give you the illusion that you have the ability to track, the status will always be "in process" until the day it arrives. Customer service is dismissive. There are plenty of other online stores to buy from. Stay away from Back in the Saddle.
