Placed two orders both over $130 a piece for lip balm labels. All of them started to peel off! These are for my business and I had to tape over 200 labels to salvage my loss. Now they look tacky and not very professional. Contacted Avery three times and was only asked ridiculous questions about how I apply the stickers and what temperature they were? Never addressed the issue or offered a return! Terrible company, go to one of the several other label making sites out there and save your money by not using Avery Print!
What a disaster!
Can't print a thing. I tried several computers without any luck. I searched for Avery printing problems and sure enough, just as I suspected. They changed it and totally screwed it up. Will now have to recreate all my labels. Whoever came up with this new printing garbage should be fired!
They altered my business labels to their liking and totally messed them up and gave me something I never would have approved of, extremely small text and overlapping of text. Extremely unhappy and then was told that they in fact do not alter our labels once submitted which is clearly a lie and have proof. Never had this issue before. They continued to tell me I can have a one courtesy re print even though they gave me what I did not pay for. Smh I used to love this expensive company, I need to just get my own printer
It is getting more and more difficult to get good, clean separations with the Avery 5392 badge inserts with every order. The perforations, which use to be so good with Avery products, are terrible now. They micro perforations the advertising brags about are worthless - at best, the inserts look raggedy and more often than not, scissors are required to clean them up.
Not thrilled tonite. Went for bday and hour after arrival we got food service. Crab legs@$58 pp were good I will say but burgers, ribs and all that comes with really poor quality. Shouldn't wait an hour for legs either. Only give 2 clusters then u wait... for 1 more and wait. For one more. We wo t gi back or recommend
I'm sorry Avery but you had a winning combination when you had Design Pro 5.5 software and your labels. Both of these worked like a charm.
You discontinued Design Pro 5.5 and came up with Design and Print and more issues came about. Why would you not hire the same programmers that worked on this software back in 1999-2010 and come up with an improved version?
Even your Design and Print offline (standalone version) is being retired so only the Online version is available. I will not use Online only products for creating and printing Labels.
Bring back Design Pro 5.5 redesigned using the original tools from Leadtools, Envel and XLS. This older software is vastly superior to what you offer now. It is shame.
Users will need to keep older hardware to print labels? Crazy.
Please fix your ways Avery!
Printing Avery labels with Design&Print can be a crap shoot these days. Many reviewers are emotional and I can sympathize. Yes the labels can be pricy. That's why I don't like making printing mistakes. I downloaded the Design&Print software to my MAC. It works ok for me but GEE it's tedious to operate. Sometimes I go back to Microsoft WORD as it's simpler, faster and more reliable. In Design&Print it seems like too many options and should be more intuitive. Also, it often prints out of alignment. That does not make anyone happy right? Tech support tells me to play with the alignment settings in the software but that does not give me a refund for the misprints. There's more... I don't like their "Durable labels, *******" as they don't stick well enough to surfaces like plastic. Avery are u listening? More adhesive please! I can complain about the ink fading in the sun but that is an Epson issue. I'll review them next. Thanks for listening. BTW citrus cleaners like "Desolve-It" take labels off beautifully. Good luck printing.
Every time Avery updates Design & Print, it is worse then before. It is now totally unusable. The print won't line up properly with the labels. If the print was consistently off I could make an adjustment, but the print progressively moves to the left and down. I thought it was my printer at first, so I borrowed my daughter's printer, same problem. I then tried both printers on a different computer, same problem.
Avery needs to go back to the program that used to be included with their labels and that you downloaded straight to your own computer, that was 5 star worthy. This current version is only good for wasting expensive labels. Maybe it is part of Avery's insidious plan to get us to buy more labels. I think I will purchase Office Depot brand instead. > :(
I have used the website to print labels, then went to the app thinking it may be better.
Why Avery makes it so difficult for such a simple task. Im an IT professional and it takes me several attempts, because of really dumb defaults etc.
Avery sucks!
I am still fuming about how much time I wasted last night with your terrible software. Avery should be ashamed. I ended up spending hours of trial and error making my own template just so I could print a table of contents for a binder. I was up till 4 am last night working on this $#*! and I am still pissed off. So today I contacted avery and they offered to email me a template. Those morons could have just made the template available to download on their website and saved me and who knows how many other the agony of wresting with their brutal design software. I will forever hate Avery and never purchase anything from them again on principle.
Purchased the 5 Tab Print & Apply Clear Label Dividers set the other day. Seemed pretty cool that you could go online, design the divider labels to look the way you want it, use their template and print them out to stick directly on your divider. They were quite expensive, but if I could make it look nice, it was worth the money... Well, turns out the application is garbage, buggy, buttons don't do what they were intended to, and ultimately, when printed out, they do not look at all like what they looked like in the preview... The centering is all off. Its funny, because the whole purpose for the app they made for the dividers is completely destroyed. Overpriced, piece of trash. What a joke.
I am a retired secretary who used to Avery templates quite easily. I've only been retired two years, but the template sites are SO different and so frustrating, that I'm very suspicious that Avery wants me to click for THEM to print off my project. The latest problem is with the template for "Print to the Edge Round Labels" Avery *******. First, you can't print to the edge because warning signs pop up that text may be cut off during the printing process. Second, (staying within the suggested parameters) the template was quite a bit off both vertically and horizontally, leaving me with only two out of the twelve labels that printed on my first page barely usable. I've spent almost two hours trying to figure out my own template for the 20 sheets of labels I purchased at Office Depot. Now I'm going to hunt the internet for possible templates from other sources that might match what I have, and if necessary, I'll buy a different brand. So very disappointed (and mad, can you tell?) at Avery!
Using Avery ******* oval labels. First 2 rows were correct and subsequent rows printed closer to the previous row. Imported my saved template into Word and it printed perfectly. Wasted over an hour trying to get the perfect labels using Avery label tool.
Suggestion: put a background on your label sheet, so that you can hold up a test sheet and see the actual label locations for alignment.
Ok so very simple project for labels for Easter cards. Did all labels the same, but fist several are so off target that they are divided into 2 labels! Some random ones just happen to be in the middle! The only way to use their labels without wasting them is to hand write in your addresses! Don't waste your money and time like I did!
I have tried every way, every printer,, every product number, of the business cards riducts. Design program will cause you hours of limited design. The cost of $20 or more dollars for paper. Because I am stubborn. I kept trying to get at least one sheet to print correctly it's terrible. The COST of paper, ink, for me is in the hundreds. I busted good printers because of the program. Have a local printer do your cards. My problem I forget to remind my self of the definition of insanity. I printed cards 5 years ago with the same limited design capabilities. Avery has not invested any upgrades to their design programs. Just bigger displays at office Depo or Max.
Spent $300 on file supplies and Avery labels. Our first dislike was sharing our business contact information with Avery. Then we tried to type simple file labels... bad... many tries. Then printing did not align. Then it was no better with MS Word. When we realized that we were wasting out time we tried to online chat with Avery. They were too busy to answer. We scrapped all the Avery products and used a competitor. They need to replace all of their label instructions.
Why complicate matters. The disk version works fantastically. Bring it back. The tools are complicated, I can't print a selected amount of copies, don't know where to start. How many pAGES? How many copies? Where to designate, just terrible. Looking for alternative!
Really useful website but it takes forever to load, constantly lagging, sometimes it won't load the page at all. Regularly makes Google Chrome unresponsive.

Why is it so difficult to get what you paid for. I designed my labels using your templates. When it came time to print the labels, I was redirected to PDF the file which shows up with an Avery extension. You know damn well that saving a file with an Avery extension will not be accepted by any computer for future use. If I choose not you allow you in my business than let it be just that. I designed my labels, and if I don't want you to print them for me, release the file!
I had a bunch of things I wanted to print for a baby shower and thought that the Avery products were going to be a perfect fit. However, after reading the reviews I was hesitant to invest in all the different products and then have them turn out awful. I decided on trying just one, the index cards to print out a book request and to my delight they came out beautifully. I then went all in purchasing the business cards, round labels, scallop tags and tabs with strings. Every single thing printed perfectly and was exactly what I was looking for! I do believe that my success was due to a printer that was able to take card stock easily and I did use Google Chrome. I am really so glad I gave it a go. I saved a lot of money being able to customize my shower favors myself.

Answer: I think part of the issue is that Avery Dennison sold off their Labels and Software to CCL in 2016. I luckily still have an older system that uses Windows 7 and Design Pro 5.5 software and I can print most labels the way I want them. The Design and Print software is garbage compared to the older now retired Design Pro 5.5. I have a feeling that Avery (from CCL) is trying to get users to pay to print via their service instead of having a capable program that users can print at home or at work. Even the Design and Print is going away from the "offline" version and going with Online only... I will NEVER go with an Online version ever period! Your better bet unfortunately is to download a template for either Word or Photoshop and print from there if you have a system that is not compatible with Design Pro. Design Pro was created by Avery Dennison and not CCL industries

Answer: Apparently it does. When I ask for a second or third PDF, the file name has (2) or (3) added.
Avery has a rating of 1.4 stars from 108 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Avery most frequently mention customer service and design print. Avery ranks 147th among Templates sites.
