Ordered two coating items online and noticed after confirming that the order on one of the coatings was incorrect. I immediately sent an email to cancel order - Next morning I called Atoplicity and spoke with representative and she assured me the order would be cancelled. Nope, they shipped it later that day. Sent several emails stating that order was incorrect and I would be forced to return item. Received email stating "order had shipped". Item arrived and called Autoplicity for return number. Agent stated that "we have no emails or phone logs indicating you contacted Autoplicity. I'm now stuck with return shipping fee's and 20% re-stocking fees. Will never order again from Autoplicity. They use an India answering company to handle returns. Beware..
Do not purchase from Autoplicity prior to reading my review or others with a low score. There is good reason to proceed with an extreme amount of caution. First, I ran a very large e-commerce company in the heavy-duty space for 18 years but never moved to automotive parts and accessories. I'm writing this so you understand my inside industry perspective & the fact I have no motivation to give Autoplicity a poor review other than my personal experience.
Problem 1: I ordered a pair of Steelcraft ******* running boards. Autoplicity's website said they were in stock with updated live inventory and fast shipping times, when in fact they weren't in stock at an Autoplicity warehouse but drop-shipped directly from their manufacturer. When an e-commerce company has a drop-ship model, meaning they don't stock the part but have it shipped from another company, total control of the customer experience is surrendered and lost. I ordered the item on July 3, and it is now July 16 and was told after several calls to the transportation company it will be at least another two weeks. So now I have to wait one month for an item that was allegedly in stock at Autoplicity and shipped fast?
Problem 2: Autoplicity's Customer Service takes no ownership in solving concerns. I state this after speaking to three different people. One person asked me if I called the transportation company! I ordered a product and did not hire a company to move it for me. If I did, it would have certainly arrived by the time promised.
There is so much more but allow me to summarize:
1. Autoplicity falsely advertises on their website so never order online from them but call to ask if it is in stock at one of their distribution facilities. If not, run and keep running...
2. Autoplicity has no interest in the customer experience. One rep. Even said she would follow-up and get back to me, which never happened. They are more concerned with transactions so again, let the buyer beware!
3. Autoplicity will not provide assistance if something is wrong with your order. I called three times and was told I had to wait and could not cancel the order because the transportation company already picked it up. I was even asked if I called the transportation company, which is an absolute no in any customer-facing industry.
There are too many other points to mention, e.g., terrible and unprofessional customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM AUTOPLICITY WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE RISKS GOING IN. I saved a few dollars but would have gladly spent the extra money to receive decent service.
Worst company to ever work with. Spent 5 hours working on a refund for a product I never received.
They would not provide the refund until I retracted my Amazon claim so that the BS customer service did not negatively impact them.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!
Ordered tires which were in stock, still are, got an email saying they weren't. So then I called and they were in stock but they raised the prices. Bunch of losers stay away they are garbage!
I purchased an item which I needed desperately for a road trip I was going on. The item arrived late, which delayed the trip, then it was the wrong item altogether! Unusable and delayed my trip a week further! Rather than refunding me so I could buy the correct item, they are requiring me to completely fix the problem on my own, absolutely no accountability! Do not buy from these people! They show you photos of things that they don't have in stock then hope that you won't bother to return it! I purchased an item from the website which was too good to be true. Guess what, it was! Not only did they not correct their mistake, they are leaving that to me. Terrible customer service, ZERO accountability!
I ordered a life jacket from them on Amazon. I paid $32.58 for it. It was advertised as "adult extra large". When I got it was too small. I returned it. They only refunded me $5.00. I called them and they said they have "a restocking fee and a labeling fee." They would not refund me the $27.58. I recommend NOT buying anything from this company.
Placed order number ******* on 6/13/2020. Paid $48.08 to over night the product. On 6/15/2020 received e-mail it was shipped (2 days later) waited and fed ex keeps saying Label created. I then called today and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Each time I got a person who can barely speak English and they just transfer me to another department. Then Aaron said let me get you over to someone who has all the info and transfers me back into the queue for another 5 minutes. Then Donna answers who again can barely speak English. Puts me on hold another 5 minutes and comes back and says, "Sir it will ship tomorrow and you will get it Monday". (More than a week later)! I said you need to refund the $48.08 you charged for overnight. Donna says, ok will do that and hangs up on me. Call back and get dead air. This is criminal.
Don't purchase anything from this company. I ordered the wrong item. Once I returned it they took forever to issue a refund. Once I received my refund I only got 40% of what I paid. What a scam
I placed an order on Memorial day and cancelled the next day early am. It could not of been processed as they were not open on Memorial day or at the time I called.
I emailed them same day explaining my error in the order and told them not to ship.
I called (before they opened) same day and left a message with the order number, date it was ordered and reason for the cancellation and telling them to cancel the order and not to ship.
They still shipped the order.
Now I have been trying for nearly a month to get my money back.
All I get are emails saying they will refund the money.
My advice to Autoplicy... Go to an Amazon CS school
They will send you the wrong thing then they will send you the wrong thing then charge you a 30% restocking fee + shipping. Shop elsewhere.
I tried contacting autoplicity 4 times by phone. I followed all of the prompts that were supposed to get me in touch with someone best qualified to help me resolve my issue. Once I finally get through all the Prompts I was put on hold for a few minutes when I finally got someone on the phone they asked me for my order number and what the problem was so I told them then I was told. She said I'm going to be put on hold. All 4 times I called this happened. All 4 times I called someone hung up on me after I was placed on hold floor 10+ mins. Not to mention the woman that answered the phone should not have been answering phones. She was not polite or helpful. I buy car parts and tools all the time. I will NEVER buy another car part or tool from autoplicity. I'm also going to tell everyone I know about my experience and how they should never use autoplicity.
Ordered product on amazon... shipping said it had yet to be pulled from warehouse at the time i cancelled the order... 2 weeks go by and now they want to charge me a 20 percent restocking fee... save yourself the head ache shop another vendor these guys are horrible
My mother ordered a rototiller wheel and tire through Autoplicity's website. She got an email seven days later asking if the wheel had arrived. She waited a couple days, still no wheel. So I called their customer support. Apparently the order had been cancelled internally because the product wasn't in stock but they didn't bother to email her.
So we found another one on the same site at twice the price. Ordered it. When it got here it was just the tire. The page said in multiple places Tire and Wheel. The photo showed a wheel. No where on the page did it specify that it was just a tire. So I called them again. The woman insisted that they don't sell ANY wheels. I pointed out that there is an entire section in their menu bar called Tire & Wheel. She said that was just the name of a company. While I tried to shift tabs to the order so I could confront her about it, she made it clear she just wanted to get off the phone. She said they'll allow a return.
What an incredible waste of two weeks. Will absolutely not order from this company again. Terrible communication, a series of mistakes, and rude customer service.
I ordered a cable through Autoplicity's website and had nothing but trouble right from the beginning. When I called after 3 days to get a tracking number, the representative was rude and cancelled my order. When I called back the next day (after several attempts to get through-very limited hours to speak to a representative) I was told by the same representatives that she didn't mean to cancel it and that it would be re sent, but that it would take 3-4 weeks to ship out because it had to come from the manufacture. Their website still showed 1 in stock and that it could be shipped immediately. She said I could call back and get a tracking number in 3 weeks when they had one to give to me. Called a week later since my order still showed returned and spoke to a supervisor who couldn't make it shop faster, but assured me it was still on order. Received the order 30 days after I purchased it but it was the wrong cord. Horrible company to work with. Will never do business with them again
Do yourself a favor before you order. Look at Better Business Bureau ratings. In fact this company has been kicked out of the BBE membership
They have no clue, I am seriously questioning how they got good reviews here. My guess there paid for. You don't get booted from BBE and have this high of reviews. STOP NOW BUY ELSEWHERE
I ordered six cans undrcoating. These thieves only sent me two cans. When I called them, all the fools at costumer service they sent me back to each other for two hours. When I sent the e-mail they never wrote back. Really do not buy from them because you would damage your health and nerves
Item description does not exist, only compatibility. Ordered on the 17th, it's the 24th and I'm being told it won't arrive until 29th. Spent $12 on shipping that will take 12 days.
I placed an order for a kit of four powerstop rotors and breakpacks - just over $400. They arrived in two packages. The front rotors arrived in a box and were both damaged. Both had dents which contained rust, indicating that the damage was not recent.
At the time this was realized, the shop had already installed the rear rotors and pads. After taking photos of the damaged rotors, I called autoplicity and explained the situation. The rep asked that I begin to repackage the entire kit to send back. I explained that the rear rotors were already installed and that I've already accrued labor costs. I asked if i could simply send out the damaged rotors and receive replacements. She wanted the entire kit back. I asked if they would pay for the labor I've already accrued. She asked for the photos and asked me how the damage occured - apparently I was supposed to have an answer to that. The packaging wasnt damaged in the shipment, so I can only assume these were packaged in this shape.
I sent in the photos and got a generic response that I would recieve an update on my return within a business day. It's now been 3 business days without word. At this point, I'm now just paying the shop to grind down the dents on my brand new rotors so that I can move past all this. My last interaction with this company is going to be simply plastering this review everywhere I can.
Long story short - if you order from them, cross your fingers that everything arrives perfectly. If you have to deal with the customer service reps, they're going to simply make it easier to just deal with the problem than actually help fix it.
I purchased 2 ZR1 Carbon Ceramic rotors from Autoplicity, one was defective. After providing pictures to substantiate my claim, Autoplicity agreed to offer a refund once the defective items were returned. Autoplicity issued return shipping labels and I immediately shipped the items back and in original packaging. Autoplicity emailed back saying I should be receiving the refund within no later than 5 business days. It's been already 7 business days and still no refund showing on my credit card. I called the credit card company and they said that Autoplicity would be the ones that completes this transaction.
This is one of the worst companies I've ever worked with the customer service was like a twelve-year-old running to her dad for answers every time I called they would give me a different story item was shipped and then it never showed up I called back and they said that the manufacturer no longer carries a part that I ordered so I question why did you send me an email that said the order was shipped two days ago and I'll be receiving it at a certain date then suddenly the order was canceled by autoplicity because supposedly Panda no longer manufactures the part I was ordered worst company ever to deal with I will never order from them again doors are smart you won't either
Answer: I've been told that the site is owned by the same guys that ran autopartsdealer.com which is now out of business and screwed a lot of people http://www.linkedin.com/in/seanmcwherter
