I use to do really well looking for stuff on auctionzip, now more and more auctioneers list on liveauctioneer.com. Auctionzip use to be the place to go but instead of improving their site they made some, actually only, bad changes. What bothers me is the fact that they prevent the auctionzip banner on top from scrolling out of sight and force you to have it block your view to see what you want to look at. Other stupid ideas are the useless i on allowing you to like and store pictures, the fact that auctionzip lets auctioneers post the same auctions with a starting day/time even so the auction only starts days later. I drove on e to an auction in New Hampshire to find out that the auction was going to be three days later. What really bothers me that the take functionality away from users, the scrolling feature, forcing you to look at advertising. The way auctionzip is trying to force you to look at advertising is appalling….
I make it a point not to buy through auctionzip.com anylonger. I go to liveauctioneer.com to bid and buy as auctionzip does not deserve my business any-longer.
It will only be a matter of time and they will go bankrupt or disappear and I can't wait…
Auction houses charging as much as 30% now! And they charge two ways. To the consigner and the buyer! So they are making as much as 60% on each sale. Do your homework before you spend a penny. I've had to go to my credit card company three time now to get charge reversals done. A lot of these auction houses aren't much better than carneys or casinos in my opinion.
Auction zip used to be a great site, now they are listing bogus tag sales & other garage sale types of crap
What a shame, since artifact took over its going down hill fast!
Used auction zip for years... That is over cant find anything on what you call a website. Whoever did this should be fired. Ruined a good thing and we will not be back.
I guess AuctionZip is not familiar with the expression "IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT" as they took a perfectly good website and ruined it.The new listing of upcoming auctions is definitely not an improvement or upgrade as it is confusing and takes too long to navigate. I would strongly suggest bringing back the prior calendar format as it was so much easier to use. Online bidding is problematic as well. I used to enjoy the AuctionZip website but now will be looking to other sites for my auction action.
12/19/2013 ill tell you i bought an iteam then read some reviews got nervious and sent them an e/mail to cancel it was no probleum they canceled and gave me full credit on pay pal and my credit card so no complaint with them there. So from that point of view i am happy and think they are leget. Things to beware of:
-"Estimates" are often inflated.
-Always check buyer's premium, some are reasonable (15% or LESS), some are INSANE: (25% and MORE)
-Factor in SHIPPING charges, it is often best if the auction house ships for you, often at cost only. NOTE: Some auction houses use third party shippers who like to overcharge, be prepared to lose money either by paying for the shipping or abandoning your stuff.
-If you're nearby the auction house and you can pick up your won lots personally, sometimes auction houses charge you a 'service fee' for that
-If pictures are small, or fuzzy, that probably means the item is chipped or damaged in some way
-Always always always price check on other sites! Ebay, etsy, craigslist etc!
I've gotten some great stuff at good prices, but overall it's always best to be in person at these sort of auctions.
To start off with I loved this site the way it was, would search every week for up coming auction to go that week in no time. Now with the change of no calander veiw for a month, it is very hard to get around and takes alot more time. I would say that if things don't change I will have to find another site to find auctions to go too.
Depends what you are buying. If you are buying signed memorabillia then you really need to know what you are looking at as there have been "lottsa" non-authentic items sold along with the worse of the worse certificates of authenticity. I find a recent link on rip-of-reports; http://www.ripoffreport.com/auctionzip/sports-cards-memorabilia/iedford-pennsylvania-*******.htm that everyone should read.
The sad part is that once you purchase such an item many times you will run head on into the T&Cs that may prevent you from obtaining a refund.
It's hard to believe anyone update a website and make it this bad. Online bidding services must have payed them off big time. It's hard to think someone would give them more one or two stars.
NOTHING BUT HEARING COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS AT THE AUCTION HOUSE WHERE I DO FOOD - THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT HAVING THE CALENDAR, HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND THE AUCTIONS THEY WANT (AND I TRIED IT AND THEY ARE NOT WRONG) - THE AUCTION HOUSE OWNER HAS THE SAME COMPLAINTS AND GETS CALLS ASKING IF HE IS OPEN BECAUSE PEOPLE CAN'T FIND HIM. HIS HITS ON HIS SITE ARE WAY DOWN. SOMEONE NEEDS TO WAKE UP.
Used AuctionZip for a while UNTIL one of their auctioneers was paid but failed to deliver the items. When items failed to show up, auctioneer was no where to be found. No replies to any notes sent. AuctionZip said they would help but were NO HELP at all. The money or the items purchased were never received. DO NOT USE AUCTIONZIP - there are plenty others out there.
I regularly us auctionzip calendar and plan up to a month ahead going to auctions. Impossible to do that now. The dumbass who came u with this the go hang themselves.
WTF happened to Auctionzip? This new format is an absolute POS to use.
Whoever created this cluster f--k of a website should be court martialed and banished in exile to a flea market in Siberia.
Bring back the old format with the calendar PULEAZE!
I am absolutely livid and frustrated with AuctionZip(Invaluable) and Vogt Auctions. I placed a bid on AuctionZip (Invaluable) which is one of the online platforms Vogt uses for their auctions. I was approved and placed a bid on an item over a week and a half prior to the auction. During the auction, my bid was passed over and unable to bid live via AuctionZip. I had the high/winning bid by $150 compared to the person who ended up winning the auction using LiveAuctioneers as their platform. I confirmed this with the live feed of the auction on YouTube, as well as talking directly to the owners of Vogt. If a platform is deemed to not work, why are they using this platform? I have been looking for this very specific item that came up for auction for more than 4 years and was willing to pay good money for it. I rightfully should have won but neither Vogt or AuctionZip (Invaluable) can or will do anything for me. I am left out to dry for something I should have rightfully won. I sold items that I can no longer get back to ensure I had the money for this specific lot. I passed over other lots in the auction to ensure I was able to keep bidding on the specific lot. I am furious with Vogt and AuctionZip (Invaluable) for this injustice. I have screenshots and video proving that I was the high bidder and should have won. But the owner of Vogt said there's nothing he can do for me. It's safe to say they have lost my business. I understand that this is not all Vogt's fault, as AuctionZip was the main point of failure, but the fact that they use this platform will continue to use it is absolutely wrong. I have witnessed many auction houses stop live bidding to ensure their online platforms are synched and working correctly, however this was clearly not done with Vogt. An absolute embarrassment of an auction house!
The new AuctionZip is terrible.
I used to have the calendar bookmarked & could easily search for auctions.
Now it takes several steps to get the same results.
Admit your mistake and change it back.
I have been using this site for over a year to find local auctions in the midwest. The information given by the site has so far been 100 percent accurate, and easy to navigate.
The new format is totally useless and extremely time consuming. I search for clocks and am willing to travel in order to obtain the one that was put up for sale. Just traveled 900 miles to do so. So, with the lack of a calendar which allows me to plan my trips, this site has lost its usefulness.
Another thing is the lack of an ability to narrow down my searches with the new site. If I search for CLOCK, I get clocks that are being auctioned in locations other than the U.S. of which I have zero interest. So why not a selection of Countries? In this same search I would like the ability to limit the search to TITLES only. As it is I get any listing that has the word CLOCK or O'CLOCK in it; specifically, watches of which I have not interest.
I did notice that with the demise of this site, the number of items for HiBid has significantly improved; thus, the auctioneers have gotten the word perhaps. I also noticed that some of the auctioneers on this site are just advertising and the online bidding are proceeding on other sites.
If you really want to make a difference, find 5 auctioneers within 500 miles of where you live and contact them to show your displeasure... asking them where they advertise so you will not miss their auctions.
Someone better wake up... people are not necessarily searching for auctions hoping that something will turn up. They are searching for items and would like to know where these auctions are.
I assume that AuctionZip and Invaluable are one and the same.
Use the web address below except change the zip code number Zip= to your number instead of *******
You should get the old site back then save it as one of your favorites to keep it.

Good coverage. When traveling I have found some excellent options by using auction zip. And I found some not so good ones as well. The coverage is done in the proper manner
AuctionZip has a rating of 1.3 stars from 128 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with AuctionZip most frequently mention new format, credit card and good thing. AuctionZip ranks 172nd among Auction sites.
