I went to local store, they explained monthly plan and i signed up. Repaired all my devices and cancelled my membership January 15,2020 at 8:11pm via their "contact us" page on Asurion. I also called my local store and spoke to a young lady to cancel my membership. It is May 9,2022 and I am still receiving deductions from my automatic pay account... yes stupid me. Call today on hold for 40 minutes, called back again and waiting with no response. I want my March, April and May payment refunded!

Asurion was scheduled to deliver my replacement phone today between 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Shortly before 1:00 PM I received an email stating Asurion Expert was expected to arrive at 1:03 PM. Since I am not reachable by phone, I immediately went to the lobby of my small apartment building so I could meet the Expert. I brought my laptop with me. After several minutes I walked through the first floor garage and noticed a driver sitting in an idling SVU. I walked from the garage around to front door and then decided to check my laptop again. The status on the email sent from Asurion first stated the new phone was either "Delivered" or "Complete." Then it changed to "Claim Cancelled." I again walked to the garage at which point the SVU was driving toward the exit. I asked the driver if he was here to make a delivery to which he said yes and provided the name of the individual he was to deliver to. I explained that I am that individual to which he said, "Oh when I called the number and someone answered, I thought it was you." I explained I am not in possession of my phone which I why he was delivering a replacement. (The missing phone has been disabled so he could not have connected with anyone using my phone number.) He seemed confused. He then said let me park next door, since by this time he was nearly on the street. I said, "Great, I will wait here at the front door of the building so I can let you in." After about 5 minutes, the Asurion "EXPERT" left the parking lot next door driving at a high rate of speed in the other direction.

I had to file a new claim and schedule for another time. The experience was rotten. The lack of maturity and professionalism was stunning - especially for a partner of AT&T/Apple.

May 6, 2022

No not use this company the refurbished phones they give you are not water resistant and they fail to mention that, I had a new replacement water damaged after being in the water for only about 2 mins I tried complaining they admitted that the reconditioned phones are not water resistant but would not replace the phone without me paying full price, you are better off with no insurance

Scam
May 5, 2022

These are simply scammers. They try at all costs to avoid the promised services. Don't buy a home plan. Pointless waste of money and time. Unfortunately, no less than one star can be given.

Scam
May 1, 2022

Bought an Asurion 2-yr warranty for a new laptop in Dec 2019. About 22 months later, I registered a claim on their website for a small hardware problem. Automated response was: 'We're mailing you a box with... a prepaid shipping label. Look for it in the next 5 business days.' It showed my correct address. No box, no communication = scam.

This Company along with Verizon I should spell it HELLRIZON are the worst customer service companies I've ever had to deal with. Rather they have been told To lie outright to their customers or they have been trained have been trained they are liars and they are cheaters they have shut my business completely down I'm applying for food stamps as I speak for not dropping assurion and verizon 3 weeks ago when the problem started. My flip or should be called $#*! phone started like a small black dot in the crease and after a week grew to cover entire phone u could see nothing. They sent another device a week after they said they would. 2 months into this $#*!flip phone same problem verizon tells me I only had a 30 day warranty because it's a replacement device, lie, my warranty actually started over after a week of battles I give in because of my buisness and needing a phone. They made me lie to Assurion to get my device. Assurion charges aybc$300 deductible and says phone will be there 3 to 5 buisnesss days it's not I call they say it's not coming will reimburse u. What the $#*! r yall talking about I just paid a deductible and it's not coming. I have lost my entire buisness of providing for my family because asurion and verizon have lied to me straight out lied. I would never trust this Company again I will seek damages to just say u can't pass on the little guys you should be ashamed of yourself my name is Tony Defilippis My number was *******013 And Verizon 12 years I've been with yall for nothing. I will submit a nasty review everyday everywhere till this is taken care of.

Only reason I put 1 star is because this site would not except 0 stars as an answer. This is by far the worst insurance policy you could possibly purchase for your phone. I have submitted 5 different claims (on the same phone) and it continuously gets denied. The last phone call I had with them, they said my claim wasn't going through because my phone line had not been suspended (I activated my old phone due to having to have it for work) so we suspended the line. Guess what? Email the next day saying the claim had been denied again! Now I have no phone, still owe 900$ on my new phone that was lost, a suspended phone line, and no way to contact my clients and employees for work. Unbelievable, Asurion is an absolute scam. Do not throw your money away paying for this service because coverage will not be there when you need it.

I got protection on all 4 of my phones when I switched over to AT&T and one of my Galaxy Z flip 3 phones was stolen after having the phone 2 months so I do a phone claim and the went on and on about well its a brand new device that came out and it was expensive so I did the whole process I was on the phone for 2 days with them for them just to deny me to get my phone replaced they told me that I didn't have insurance of the time my phone was stolen when 2 of AT&T corporate personnel called them and told them that all my lines had insurance but yet they still will not listen they want upper AT&T management to call them to make sure it's accurate well if 2 people from AT&T already called them to verify that I did indeed have insurance what more do they want my guess is they don't want to replace my phone if that's the case WTF am I doing paying insurance if it's not gonna matter

At the end of December, I filed a claim for my unlocked Galaxy 21 phone that I purchased outright from Samsung. They could not repair my phone and sent me a replacement. They then replaced my phone with a locked phone. I called them and reported the problem and they said they would take care of it right away. Nearly a week later and they had done nothing. I called them again. This time they said I would have to send them the locked phone, then they would send me an unlocked replacement. I sent them the phone. Approximately six weeks later and I still did not have a replacement phone. I called them and spent nearly three hours on the phone. They said they refunded me my 30 dollars I paid for the repair. What about my $1,000 phone?! Finally they agreed to ship me a phone. Remember I had already sent them a phone six weeks earlier. Well, one month later and they charged me $1,000 because they said I had not returned my phone, which they had received late January/ early February. They are the ones who did not send me a phone in return. So, yet another phone call and finally they are refunding the money to my card. I told them I wanted to cancel my warranty. It really is worthless when you have to go from January 1 to March 2 without a phone. They told me I would have to cancel on the website. I go to the website and it says I have to call yet again. With the 5+ hours that I spent on the phone and the months that I went without a phone (luckily my husband had an old phone that I could use), I would have been better off just repairing the phone locally or buying a new phone. Truly the WORST customer service experience EVER!

Typical Insurance Bureaucrats
April 22, 2022

Fire destroyed my phone, and all my IDs, and they wouldn't verify my ID any other way, so that was a 2 week wait. After, I received my ID resumed my claim, NO ONE ASKED FOR MY ID.

They sent me a new phone, with a screen cover that was clearly not designed for the phone (smaller, not centered, and had bubbles in it). Had to dig through the rubble to find my burned phone to return it, then they called me and said they needed me to return the phone. I checked my tracking number and it had been delivered a day before, do they not have the tracking number, because I had to read it to them. Took plenty of pics and video of dropping the phone off, because I know how these kinds of businesses work.

All in all, I got a phone, but worst experience ever.

Crooked spammers

Do NOT even think about doing business with these scammers. Worse than aftermarket car warranties. I would not be a bit surprised if these same call center had people switching between selling device warranties and car warranties.

I filed 2 claimed which they denied both without an explanation. 1+holds are normal customers service is bad when it comes to helping the customer. The employees are nice and helpful with questions but as a company, they are not worth your money. They are like any insurance company, they work nitnto pay you! Currently on hold just to cancel a membership

Called them about a broken phone through Verizon. Filed a claim and was told my phone was backordered and that I had to wait 3-5 business days. After 5 business days, I called and asked about a comparable device. I was offered a comparable device and was told I had to submit a new claim in order to get the device. When my new claim went through I was told the device was still on back order, that they had no comparable devices available and that since my claim was dated for that day, I had to once again wait the 3-5 business days on the backorder. Absolutely horrible customer service and will likely be canceling my device insurance through Verizon

Had a scheduled appointment window between 1-5pm and they canceled at 3pm the day of. Apparently, they had technicians that called in. They could have told me when they knew they did not have the man power to fulfill their appointments. I hope you can find someone else who will value your time because Asurion could careless.

SCAM
April 12, 2022

I sent in a phone for a cracked screen which should have been repaired for $29 and five days after sending my phone in I received an email that the phone could not be repaired. When I contacted the company they stated they did not have the screen in stock and could not repair it in a timely manner. Their solution was to send me a replacement device and I would have to pay $229. When I questioned why I would have to pay when they were unable to meet my request they put me on a hold and then came back and informed me it was because my phone had other damages. My phone worked perfectly before I sent it in with the exception of the cracked screen. THIS IS A SCAM! I wish I could give them below a 1 because I have wasted so much money on this coverage! You are better to bank the cost of the insurance and buy a new phone if something happens to your current one. Lesson learned.

Unreliable. No follow-up. Don't keep scheduling commitments. And repair guys are untrained to work on sophisticated machines. They sent a teenage boy to my home that didn't know how to take the lid off the washer. Oh and NO supervisor or escalation process in place.

I've had 2 Asurion phones and they're 2/2 on breaking within months of use. Both have been battery issues. One of their subsidiaries called "U break I fix" even told me that the Asurion batteries are far worse than the actual iPhone battery

Awful return service
April 11, 2022

They send you a return label for ups, then you drive there and they can't even download it to print, will not purchase anything else from them or Amazon that requires to use Ausurion as warranty, a complete waste of time.
