I bought a desk chair from Staples and bought the insurance which was thru Asurion. 3 weeks before the insurance expired, the chair broke. I was expecting the process of dealing with the I surance company to be long and drawn out. I was so surprised when I called Asurion. The rep was super helpful. I cracked the back of my phone - shattered really, but I didn't know it because it was inside of a case. My FaceID stopped working and I discovered the broken back glass when I was troubleshooting. I had no idea how long the back had been cracked because I don't drop my phone frequently and had not dropped it recently. After some research on what causes the FaceID problems, I figured out that the cracked back was probably letting moisture in. Even if that wasn't the cause, the two problems were likely related. Either way, repairs for the FaceID/TrueDepth Camera were ridiculously expensive - more that what was left on the payment plan, but upgrading the phone would not be cost effective in the long term. Replacement through Asurion was definitely the right move. I'm glad I had this option especially around Christmas time. It was incredibly easy to file the claim through the app. I wish there was someplace I could have gone to pick up the replacement rather than wait for shipping, but since my phone is still functional, the shipping delay is tolerable.

I called Assurion and the message said I had to make a claim online and I kept getting an error message so I requested a chat. The person was very helpful and got the claim processed immediately. It would've been most helpful to have done this over the phone in the first place.

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
