My first and last purchase with them. The clothes are beautiful but they are not the correct sizes. I ordered on line and the top was too small so I returned for refund. Was told they do not refund shipping... ok... but you also get charged an $8 dollar return fee. Seriously! Out of a $38 purchase I was refunded $17.
Horrible customer service Latoya (manager) has very poor customer service skills. I place an order 2 days ago the items went on sale before I even received the package. I contacted them asked for some type of price adjustment. They said I could not receive one that I would hav to return items once received & reorder. Wat an inconvenience for a loyal customer. I am done shopping with them. Their items are overly priced anyways, other sites always offer free shipping after u spend do much not them. BUY IF U DARE
This was my first time ordering anything from Ashley Stewart online. I placed an order early friday morning, (6am) and here is it 3 business days later it still hasn't shipped. I called but was always on hold for 15 to 30 and never talked to anyone. I emailed twice no response I even went on the Facebook page to send a message, no response. I have a feeling this store will be going out of business really soon with all the bad reviews I've seen
I purchase some items as a Christmas present for my wife in early November. Of course, she did not see them or try them on until Christmas day. We found out that they were too large. The store would not refund or exchange them because I paid for them using paypal. I contacted customer service, and was told that because it was more than 30 days since I made the purchase, there was nothing they could do. Given the covid 19 event, and xmas season, I would think they would be more flexible with their return policies. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Stewart again.
I ordered 3 bras from here, none of which I like, all of which were ordered in the same size. One turned out to be a bralette with a wire and is very small, but still probably my favorite one but I still never wear it. The second one came broken (it had ribbons across the chest and one was missing) and was all way too big on me. They eventually sent me another one in a smaller size with a refund but it was still slightly too big, but still wearable. Unfortunately only after a few weeks of wearing it the wire poked through the end. The last one I never wear because the wire is u shaped so it digs into my ribs and stomach and doesn't hold in the sides. Absolutely not worth the price, will never buy from again
My first clothing store credit card and it was an awful experience. I scheduled a payment and I received a confirmation number but that didn't matter to your customer service department. Because they couldn't see it in there database I was still charged a fee and I had already cancelled my card a month ago as well. The so called supervisor was extremely rude. I'm done with Ashley Stewart company I would be making any purchases in the future. There are too my plus size affordable company that are willing to work with there customer. I work for a Collection agency and we're always able to make arrangements for our customers. Ashley Stewart is not customer friendly!
Only thing right now is the shipping. But they will refund you. I love all my items. I've been shopping with them online since they closed down the KC store. They need to fix the shipping and things will get better
I went to the location in Ewing NJ. Tammy was awesome. She greeted me and helped me while shopping. She also rung up my order. I will be back soon to shop while Tammy is working.
I did a return on December 4th 2016 at Ashley Stewart and the refund was suppose to be refunded back to my card and I have heard nothing but excuses and everyone acting as if they don't know what happened to the refund. I am at the point of just disputing the charge and then they won't receive any money.
Ordered item was way bigger than my size and was told to pay for return of shipment? Customer service representative kept me on the phone for more than an hour and came back to tell me she was sorry, I have to pay for the shipment out of my pocket or would be deducted from my refund. I drove about 45 minutes to the store to exchange the item and was told I couldn't do it there ( online exclusive). I have never experienced anything like this from any online store, and it's very imperative that Ashley Stewart revise their policies. Would not recommend to anyone; Bad customer service.
Unhappy customer
I've been an Ashley Stewart customer for several years now. I like some of the style of clothing that they sale. I believe that's why I stayed a customer this long. But after today, I don't it's worth what "we" or maybe I should say I as an customer what this company doesn't want to correct to make this a better experience for the customers. First of all, I don't have the patience with the website. Once you click on an item, and go back shopping, them circles stats to appearing. Most of the time, I have to close the entire page I'm on & start at the beginning of shopping page. That's annoying & I don't have the patience to keep doing that, over & over again until I'm finished looking through their merchandise. Second, I'd been complaining about this for almost 2 years. When I finally try to place an order it states that my credit card is invalid. I don't understand why they won't do something about this! Third, when I do call (since I can't placed the order online) I can't get through because they of their phone hours. I usually get an recording then it hangs up on me. And last thing, the send a lot o damaged merchandise & it shouldn't be at the customer's expense. Why should I have to pay for shipping if you sent me damaged merchandise. Those are my complaints about Ashley Stewart. Some people have the patience for the things I just mentioned. I'm one of them that don't. I don't mind buying from a business but do right by your customers or you will be losing customers.
I've spent hundreds of dollars with Ashley stewart and I find that either the material is bad or this company has no quality control and it shows. Most of the item I've purchased has threads hanging everywhere The hem and seems are sown incorrectly and the smell of the fabric isn't pleasing to one's senses. I have purchased clothes from this sute and the fabric has fallen apart just waring it once. Ashley use to be my go to store to shop for clothing online but not anymore. I'm done wasting my hard earned money. Just to receive clothing that looks to be made in temu factory. Honestly temu clothes might be a better quality.
Ordered a dress on 11/29/17, received an email from Ashley saying that they got my order and would send an email when it ships. Today is 12/8/17 haven't received any other communication from them. I sent them an email stating that I needed the dress for my graduation on 12/15/17, haven't heard anything back.
I placed another order on 12/4 with my Ashley S. Credit card and haven't heard anything from them about that order either.
I have bought from them for years online and never had a problem until now. What is going on at Ashley Stewart!?!
I have spent thousands on items at Ashley Stewart over time. I hate to say that the quality of these clothes have diminished drastically. The material is now flimsy. The items are taking WEEKS to get here, keep in mind they give you 2 weeks to contact them for refund, per Nicole (supervisor). 1) I made the mistake of not checking a Hi-low blouse and then when I was matching it up with a new pair of pants i noticed the sleeve was not sewn down the arm. 2) Track jacket just purchased has a open pocket that was not sewn. **Ashley will not send you a replacement, they will send you a label and refund the money. The sizes are not the same anymore.
I have bought Ashley Stewart clothes for over the past 2 years. There are some good fit items such as sleeveless dresses and tops, however anything with a leg or sleeve is like wearing balloons attached to your body, they are not tapered. I understand leaving a little room for big arms, but A.S. Is ridiculous with it. Then there are some items are so cute, you think you hit the lottery but then after first wash or wear they tear, fray or become otherwise unbearable. I have even got sent the incorrect items if anything at all. So why do I still buy after two years of poor service. I still order because I catch those 10 or 20 dollar sales once in a while I might get something more expensive. For instance in March I got 500 worth of clothes for like 190 with sale and coupons. That was 25 peices of clothing and accessories. However, I had to spend another 300 at a seamstress to get the clothing bespoke. I am not necessarily looking for bespoke clothing when I shop at Ashley, but I want to feel cute and comfortable. In the pink and black dress, it was quality made but the straps are 4 inches to long and not adjustable, and since I did not try it on (I know my fault), before my trip, I had to double over the straps and pin them to my bra, and I had to hide the arm with the long sleeve all night so people could not see the bagginess. All the bunched up or wrinkly area are loose fabric. No, I could not go down a size, it fits my body perfectly, but Ashley needs to work on proportions or offer options. The clothes are cute but I can't afford to buy full price items and pay a seamstress for every order.
Basically I ordered some boots on January 26 and here it is the 29 and not one email about my order and shipping info. But I have received many spam email about ordering more stuff. I'm confused. Even less popular sites send you a email confirmation about when your order is shipping its almost 5 days and still nothing. Won't order again. Mind you once you place an order you can't even cancel or edit. Bullshyt
I purchased an "ON MY LEVEL" t shirt... very cute too. I wore it one time and washed it one time without bleach. The black hair on the shirt faded so therefore their was no color at all left. I tried to return it or exchange it but couldn't because it didn't have the tags attached. Well why would I wear it wash a shirt with tags anyway. I as well as many members of my family have ordered lots of clothing from Ashley Stewart but NEVER again. If anyone is planning to buy any of the tshirts with black hair or faces on them don't because the color will fade when they are washed. I sent mine back thinking they would send me another one once they saw it but they didn't and plus didn't even send my cheap-looking one back even though it was paid for lol. Oh well I guess they need their mess more than I do.
I have ordered numerous times from Ashley Stewart and they rarely offer free shipping unless you order a high amount. 9/10 i need to return ordered items due to poor quality and you are charged once again to return the items. Good customer service would be to have free returns, especially if the customer is not satisfied with the fit or quality.
Ashley Stewart Holiday experience was horrible. I placed 3 orders from cyber Monday til a week before Christmas and at least two items from each order wasnt in stock after I ordered. Thats ridiculous. Now I have a trip to take Friday and I just opened a package where I ordered some boots and it the wrong darn boots. Im so heated. The freakin warehouse and online depart needs to communicate or Ashley Stewart needs a better darn system.
I have been an Ashley Stewart customer forever so I'm disappointed that they don't offer a ship to store for free especially since many of their items are online exclusives. Which also means they can NOT be returned to a store and you'll be charged another $8 on top of the $8.95 the charged to ship your items. All of their competitors have a ship to store free option, plus you can return items to their stores. I won't be ordering anything else from Ashley Stewart - just lost a loyal customer.
Answer: Yes and $8 minimum shipping to receive and to return. Paid $16 because their item was terrible quality and see through.
Answer: Sometimes yes, sometimes no. They're sizing is verrrry inconsistent.
Answer: Fit for me was either true or a bit big. I wear 24 or 3X and next time will try a size down.
