Amazing Values

Ashford is a great resource for watch collectors. You can get amazing pricing on many high-end watches such as Breguet, Glashutte, Blancpain, Zenith, and Girard Perregaux. Every watch that I have ordered was new in box with papers. These were high end pieces in gold and/or platinum with perpetual calendars, annual calendars, chronographs and tourbillon complications. I have paid both with credit card and bank wire as the cost of these watches often exceeded 50K and each was shipped promptly. Do not hesitate to order from themI have ordered multiple times and never had any problem. It is important to note that many of the watches are new old stock--they never sold in traditional retail channels or never left the main watch brand distributor. Again, some of the watch models could be more than 5 years old. Do your research to see how they compare with current models. For a mechanical watch, this generally isn't a problem, but it does mean you may need to pay for a service a bit earlier than usual. If you are buying quartz or battery operated watch, you need to factor that it may die quickly because the battery may be old. This is not a scam or deliberate sabotage--it only means the watch needs a new battery. A local watch marker is your best bet in getting this resolved. I think this is in large part why so many of the reviews are negative because it no way matches what I have experienced.

Awful Customer Service

Please do not do business with this company. They will send you watches with dead batteries and not reimburse you to have replaced. Really awful products and customer service. Purchase at your own risk

I was very happy seeing the deals in Ashford. I couldn't find similar deals in other websites.
So ordered multiple watches as gift for near and dear ones.
I ordered 2 Rado watches for my uncle and aunt whom I had never gifted anything before. So was thinking this would be a great one.
When I gave the gift last year they were very happy.
So had ordered more watches from the website. Since I was giving the watches as gift I was not aware of the problems.
When I gifted TOMMY HILFIGER watch to my friend and I saw it was not working when he wore it. I was very embarrassed, didn't have time to see what the problem was as I had to travel same day.
It was couple of days back when my aunt came home my mom checked with her about the watch. She said it works for sometime and stops by itself.
And it is Rado watch which is well known across the world.
I got frustrated and sent them complaint. There is no response.

Please beware when you are buying from this site especially if it is to gift someone because they might not say you thinking you might feel bad.
I am not going to buy from this site anymore.

I just wish no one else face this sort of embarrassment as I did.

I've had positive results

I just purchased my third watch from Ashford and have to say that I haven't had any problems. My first was a Baume and Mercier which I purchased 13 years ag0 and it still runs perfectly. I just ordered a Hamilton, which my only issue is that it is larger than expected (my fault for not reading dimensions) and the band seems a bit under par for a Hamilton.

Cancelled booking

I just can agree with the comments below. This company is a joke. I contacted them several time that I ordered my watch weeks ago... "sorry we don't know, we have to contact this and that". Then I recognised that my order was cancelled. Than they asked me to rebook. The rebooking was not accepted. And finally today they ran out of stock... And you know what they blocked the price of the watch TWICE! AND THEY STILL DON1T WNAT TO RELEASE IT!

I was planning to buy a watch through Ashford and found there were a group of Chinese fans discussing Ashford watches on Dealmoon.com, and mostly positive, which is strongly different from here.

I was trying to post this link to Dealmoon blog but was rejected for publication. This is why I'm suspecting there is probably some underground relationships between this two sites.

I think all of these negative comments by people on this $#*! board are nuts - my experience was superb - watch I ordered arrived overnight, I buy lots of watches online and am VERY savvy about it, and their customer service was perfect - perhaps all of you that are slamming this company should GROW UP.

Beware!

Bought two watches. First one: Battery died in a week! Hassle to get the $25 refund on a dead watch (who sells movados that have watches that die that quickly?) Second watch (Rado) Pins fell out during the first wearing! Told them about it, and their response was 'too bad, the bracelet isn't covered'. I'm sorry, I would think that a DEFECTIVE band on a $500 watch would be considered "part of the watch"... but Ashford uses all kinds of loopholes to sell crap products and avoid standing behind them.

It troubles me that some on this site have given a 1 star review when they havent even bought a watch from Ashford, rather based on what others have said, Really? Is that fair or useful? I just received a Hamilton Seaview watch. Customer Service (Brett) responded professionally and instantly to my email queries. Watch arrived ahead of estimated delivery date perfectly packaged with tags, boxes manual etc. Watch is flawless. Will be ordering another watch from these guys. Oh and shipping and handling to Canada was free.

Ashford, essentially is a grey market watch website. You can find deals with amazing prices. I ordered a watch and it took 3 business days to travel across the world to my doorstep. Upon inspection of the watch, it works properly, looks genuine as hell. So, I don't get the hate about Ashford to be honest. Some people argue that the watch doesn't work. For example, a quartz. First, please understand that most of "grey-market" watches are pretty much discontinued watch products that most likely stayed inside the box for years, if not decades. People criticize this business should really educate themselves the nature of "grey-market". Overall, I recommend this website if you're trying to find great deals on watches.

They give 30 days money back guarantee but return shipping is on the customer. If you ready to take money intheir store credit then only they will pay for return shipping. This is a trap. Stay away! It is very difficult to find a suitable watch by just online images.

Excellent experience

Just read the reviews on this site I must admit that I was having second thoughts about buying from Ashford.
Then I did some research into the company And read all the fine print on the website. Most of the complainers on this site probably didn't read the warranty conditions.
I ordered a Raymond Weil watch on Sunday, and it is now on my wrist on Thursday here in Sydney Australia.
Great price ( 1/3 the cost of buying it here)
Very happy with the experience.

Called in an order... ashfords eBay price was 279. They wanted over 400 for the exact same watch. Cant match their own price. No logic... they even have to give eBay a cut of the 279

Beware ashford sale 100% fake watches
Don't trust them. They are sale watches that you can't find from original website it's completely fake.
They sale watche that cost $7000. 00 for $1149. 00

I was extremely nervous about making such a significant purchase with all the negative reviews. I decided to roll the dice and order the watch. I purchased an 18k Bvlgari watch. The watch was definitely authentic and new. It was a beautiful watch, but did not look good on me. Based on other reviews, I was concerned I was going to experience a huge hassle trying to return the watch. I'm happy to say, that was not the case. It was a quick and easy return process. I will keep looking for my watch and will definitely buy again from Ashford if I find it there.

Defective Watch

The watch that I purchased was defective. The second hand ran but the time never changed. I did not realize the defect until I had removed the plastic cover. Ashford would not refund my money and I had the send the watch back for warranty work. They claim it will take up to 10 weeks to resolve the issue. I am very skeptical that they will fix the watch. A reputable company would have refunded my money and apologized.

Awful Experience

Bought a new Coach watch, and it didn't work right out of the box. I took it to a watch repair, and I was told it was a defective watch. I called Ashford and I was told I would receive a call from a manager the following day. I never received a call, and when I attempt to contact them I am told the same lie. Stay away from this company.

I purchased an Armand Nicolet M02 watch for $999.00 and I was sent a defective watch. I returned it immediately and they refused to refund me. They lied and said the watch was HEAVILY DAMAGED and my credit card company was unable to dispute it because of their return policy, although they warrant their items to be "100% brand new".
