Over the last 12 month I brought 2 watches from Ashford
The service was always first class and received the watches in less time than goods posted here in Australia
I did have a misunderstand with my wife watch but a chat on the computer with Ashford soon put me right
To me if you want good service and a fair price Ashford are the one to go to

Perfect experience!

It's been my third purchase with Ashford.
Each time, the whole purchase experience has been absolutely perfect.

The watches, even pre-owned, are of the utmost quality. Shipping is extremely fast and efficient, too (four days from purchase to delivery in France).

Battery died about a year after purchasing the watch. I emailed inquiring about my options and whether a replacement batter was covered under the warranty. I received a reply immediately as well as several follow up emails. Ash ford was willing to reimburse me for the battery expense.

Very engaged customer service

The experience with Ashford's customer service was exceptional. They really tried to help and provide information. Unfortunately, I bought a watch which was wrongly described by their customer service (information on the size of the watch band was completely wrong). I am still waiting for a custom made watch band which will cost approx. 320 USD. This is the negative part of the positive message omg the service quality of Ashford.

I have bought 4 watches from Ashford. All are authentic with box and factory warranty. Priced over 80% over other places. Yes, most will be a ending yrs model but, still beautiful.

I have read some comment saying "Movado is purely make in Swiss". The fact is there is a Movado factory in China, Guangdong provice, Dongguan city. (welcome to research) It mainly fabricate some small component and assemble. Movado has two type of product of same design. One is totally made in Swiss and much more expensive, another type is swiss made quartz combined with China made components like leather strap. This is a procedure to lessen the cost and increase the number of customer. Whether or not the latter type of watch is worth buying is another story (some people might willing to spend more $200 just to buy a swiss made leather strap), but the second type is totally genuine.
Btw, I used to have doubts after I buy it, and I tried very hard to find any defects on the product, from my observation and using experience I cannot find any.

I had been searching for a watch and found what I wanted on Ashford's site at 30% to 50% below others (even on their own site). It said it was a display model so I excepted the fact it may not be perfect and need a battery but, the price was too good to pass up. The watch arrived UPS a few days after I ordered and to my surprise it appeared to be brand new with all original packing (except instructions) and covered with the factory plastic. The watch is beautiful, in perfect condition and I am completely satisfied.

Just bought my third (Hamilton jazzmaster) and another great deal! Previously bought bulovas for two family members. No problems whatsoever! Highly recommend! The only negative thing I can say is their website is slow to filter. Better than anywhere else, and I looked!

Smooth fabricators

Ashford.com is selling COUNTERFEIT Movado Museum watches as genuine watches and their sales representatives are well versed in fabricating stories to cover up. Anyone can check on Movado.com to see the difference in the "Movado Museum" watches that Ashford.com is selling:
1.) Genuine Movado watches has "SWISS MADE" printed neatly at 6 o'clock - the ones sold on Ashford.com are misrepresented as "SWISS QUARTZ" (same as other cheap/non-luxury watches that one can purchase from Wal-Mart for under $20)
2.) Check design / quality of leather strap. The leather strap on a genuine Movado Museum is smooth, there is no "other", "discontinued" styles of the Movado Museum (one can always authenticate these COUNTERFEIT watches with the original brand or at a local pawn shop!)
3.) Sticker on back of watch - Leather strap is Made In China. Do not let Ashford's sales representative fool you into believing that their watches were purchased directly from Movado, they are purchased directly from China. Genuine Movado watches are 100% SWISS MADE. Movado is a luxury watch company with a proud Swiss tradition in watchmaking and they did not produce cheap knockoffs that are half "Swiss Made" and half Made in China!
4.) There is no Movado Museum ******* or Movado (insert any multi-digit numbers here). Again, check with Movado.com, such series just DO NOT EXIST. (Just because 3rd party sellers also sell the exactl konds of knock-offs on Amazon.com and Walmart.com doesn't make these genuine.)
5.) Where is the authentication code that is supposed to be on the box of the Movado Museum watch?
6.) Any watches that are under $500 is NOT a luxury watch. Again, check on Movado.com for genuine watches and genuine prices.

Purchase "luxury" items from off sites that claim to be "authorized dealers" at your own risk. (Unless if you just want to get a high quality knock-off since most people won't spend time to authenticate their purchased items.)

Customer rep lies

The crown fell off a new watch I bought from them on its initial time adjustment. The customer rep I spoke to told me that the crown being an external item was not covered by warranty. I could not believe what she was saying and i insisted on talking to her supervisor and she told me such a person was not available, when I asked if she was the only one at the company she relented and got me to her supervisor Bret. He gave me the same song and dance and when I became upset he relented and told me they would look at it to see if it can be repaired. Im still not sure I will send it, once its in their hands they could hold it hostage and I am not sure I trust them.

I received a reply from Ashford via BBB (Better Business Bureau), they claim to have sent me a settlement agreement which was signed but not notarized which I believe it should have been. Needless to say, it was not signed by myself and Ashford has supposedly filed suit over a fraudulent order placed under my name... This company is a joke. First off, I didn't sign the agreement which I have seen a copy of and its not notarized. Second, I have not placed an order from this company in a year or so... Thirdly, this company has little to no credibility, having lied numerous times and sent defective items and empty watch boxes. Them filing suit is a JOKE... I have nothing and they will get NOTHING.

Ashford.com aka Alliance Time has sent me several empty watch boxes as well as defective watches. I've received a total of five defective items, four empty watch boxes in my order history. In particular, Order 1545991725 arrived with watch missing. From prior experience, Ashford likes to file a UPS claim which is fraudulent as it appears they do not inspect their items prior to shipment which is evident in the fact they've sent me a total of five defective items... One item, order #1542366455 arrived defective three times in a row, the initial item would not change time for well over 8 hours as well as two replacements. I was promised a working item each time, I believe they simply repackaged the same item and reshipped it. They may have got it to work briefly, however, I do not know for sure. I do know I set time numerous times and did not change time for well over 8 hours. It is highly unlikely a different item would not work three separate times, unless they repackaged the same item and resent it. Order 1545991725 is one of a few missing items, still unresolved. I've looked into other complaints/horror stories about this company and found a several on https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/ashford.com, as well as https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.ashford.com, https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Ashford-com-Reviews-E1098187.htm. Needless to say, this company has very little credibility. Customer Service reps, some of whom work from home, never know if and when the manager by the name Donna will be in. She is rarely there to speak with when you call and does not return calls/messages. I've left several messages with reps including a Curtis, Brett, Ani to name a few. She has never returned a call. This company is shady to say the least.

I was hesitant when reading some of the negative reviews but ashford had the best price for the ESQ men's catalyst watch that I was shopping for. I received it in three days free shipping and it worked right out of the box. I had feared that the battery would have been dead or it was a replica, but it's working very well and keeps time very accurately. Also, I realize who would waste time trying to replicate an ESQ watch line so I think I got the real deal. Only reason I knocked off one star is that I wanted to change the order to a smaller watch since this one was much bigger and heavier than my current ESQ watch which lasted 20yrs. But they had already shipped it out. I got used to the weight but wished that the dials and hands were glow in the dark or reflective like my previous ESQ watch or at least a brighter color to differentiate it from the background. Hard to see what time it is in the dark. A plus was that it had a stop watch function. Also, I changed the links myself and I realize that some of those complaints about links falling out might be due to faulty link replacement. There is a small piece that holds the pin in place. It can fall out and be lost during the process of removing links. Then placing a pin without that other part will mean the pin eventually falling out while you wear the watch.
