The online delivery service is terrible not once have they delivered on time or with out substitutions I ordered two days ahead of delivery sometimes to avoid substations and still have not received all my shopping items ever whilst using ASDA online delivery service the worst thing is the products they replace the original items with are always terrible and all you can do is give it back upon delivery forcing you to shop in store to get what you actually wanted thus defeating the whole point of online shopping such a disappointment and inconvenience.
This review is for Asda Pharmacy Hulme and I would give 0 stars if I could. The worst service I have experienced and no one cares. It's been nearly two weeks ago that I went in and asked for a price and order of a prescription in an empty pharmacy with both a staff member and pharmacist working. Instead of pricing up the prescription which I had made very clear I wanted to order, they took the private prescription and said someone would ring me. I did get a call a few days later to be asked if someone had rang me to give me the price… no that's what I thought the call was for. A week goes by and I try calling the pharmacy but they just turn the call off each time you try and ring. I rang Asda customer services to make a complaint and was told I would hear from them probably by email in 3 working days and 3 working days later I still haven't and probably won't! I'm disgusted and will never use Asda again, this was for some very time sensitive treatment. I used to like Asda but after this experience and the lack of any type of care from even the complaints team I will make sure everyone knows what type of care they give. Absolutely none!
Do all my house hold food shopping there fast and saves running round the town
I've used the online ordering and collect in store service a few times now but the service actually seems to be getting worse rather than better.
The past few orders I've had, I've had to contact them to complain about something that's wrong etc. Online ordering & free collection should make your life a bit easier but I've found with ASDA it definitely doesn't.
Poor attitudes in store too when you go to collect items, poor quality of the children's clothes/shoes (they used to be great). Seems to be going downhill so will definitely be trying elsewhere in future.
I contacted Asda about a cleverspa tub I purchased off them which had gone faulty. I made the mistake of contacting the manufacturer first who said they would fix after lock down but didn't. By the time I contacted Asda my warranty had expired. Asda refused to help, refused to let me make a complaint and refused to tell me how to follow there complaints procedure. Ive never dealt with such poor customer service or treatment with any company in my life, and I've previously bought from the Range;-) well done Asda your officially the worst.
They are truly shocking and don't care once they have had your money. I personally will never buy or shop at Asda again and judging by the reviews on this site I'm not the only one. Totally disgusted and will make it my new hobby to post as many reviews on as many sites as I can warning people about them.
AVOID@ ALL COST
Asda usually has good prices and good brands. I haven't experienced any terrible shortages. Grocery delivery is another story. First and foremost, your order is delivered with NO BAGS! Who wants to make 20 trips from the front door to the kitchen? Not me. Also, they don't want to talk to you if you have a problem. Getting to speak to a real person on the phone is next to impossible and there is no link for an email address. This tells me they couldn't care less if your order even arrived of if you have a problem with the order. These two things are enough for me to order elsewhere. There are other places that treat customers better and actually provide good service. Again, Asda does provide a good selection and I've only been short dated on one item that was delivered. They offer good value for the money, but they fall very short on customer service. Want my business Asda? EARN IT! Low prices aren't a substitute for acceptable customer service.
Just had an Asda home dilivery. Driver excellent produce not so good. Lamb steaks very small unlike the photograph on the website. Some items very close to expired bbf dates. Veg not the freshest. Cleaning products mixed in with fresh foods. Overall not good
I used to buy all my kids clothes from here but in recent times I have found they have become more expensive but the quality hasn't improved. Delivery charges and times are ok but I rarely purchase clothes anymore from them, the women's clothes are expensive and often shapeless.
I also used to do all my online grocery shopping with Asda but again I have switched to another online store since the delivery service was lacking. I was getting late deliveries with no apology, items were often out of stock and the substitutes given were completely useless or food was sent that was due to expire in around 48hr. My last time using them my delivery didn't arrive at all, I kept calling but you can only get through to a South African call centre who can't do anything, I then had to wait for a refund as I had the driver lying saying he had tried to deliver but I hadn't been in, then they tried saying it had been delivered and back and forth etc. it was ridiculous. I haven't used them since.
They "ASDA" right attitude for me.
Having read through the various bad reviews for ASDA, I think I must be shopping in a parallel ASDA internet world. Ah! Maybe I am, or is it the £3.00(yes £3.00) a bottle ASDA red wine I hear you cry. Anyway, I have regularly ordered my groceries online and have found the service & quality to be excellent. They almost always deliver on time, well two late deliveries in three years ain't bad and one of them was due to the amount of snow but ASDA still delivered. The items I receive are nearly always of good quality and well within their use-by-dates. On the very odd occasion that an item of food is either poor quality or missing from the order, I phone the customer services and they issue a refund with no questions asked. The ASDA delivery drivers are without exception helpful and polite, the pickers (no not the country and western type!) seem to take care and choose fresh items well. What about substitutes I hear you say. Well, footballs not really... Oh, sorry I see what you mean. Yes, we all get substituted from time to time, and generally ASDA substitutes are spot on. Invariably they will substitute with a more expensive item but only charge for the original item ordered. If though, a substituted item is not wanted; just send it back, also the driver will refund you there and then.
I would have no hesitation in recommending asda.com for online grocery shopping or their Kendal store for making the delivery happen.
Asda used to be a big brand name for the cheapest products and they best customer service. But those days are gone I don't know if they are annoying the staff so much behind the scenes that they hate there job. They are rude and pushy at the tills especially the self service. It's like your annoying them for having to ask them where items are and they either say I don't know end of conversation or point to it and tell you where it is. They never smile and are flat our annoyed if they need to come and help you several times at the self service till. It's not my fault your machine is saying I need you I never asked for your help the machine did. Here I am shopping and spending money to keep your store open and pay your wages your not working for free. The staff are always chatting making it uncomfortable if you need to interrupt to ask them something I advice you do this with caution. Really disappointed to the point I've changed my food store I can't shop in a store with a bunch of rude and unhelpful staff that make me feel unwanted and stupid if I need help.
There is a massive problem with the customer service management at the Asda Wallington Store as well as the extremely biased and poor handling of customer complaints to Asda head office when you make a complaint to Asda head office they only seem to take action when you make a complaint about Asda colleagues but when you make a complaint about an Asda manager they don't want to act and they always protect the managers this is bias and needs stop!
Asda, you have been asking for a low rating from me for the last 3 years, so now you got it.
Been shopping with you since the Carrefore Caerphilly days.
I now live alone with my only means of shopping being Asda home delivery, every Thursday without fail, reoccurring slot..., I also pay you for my delivery pass which you have so kindly bumped the price up to a minimum order of £40 shameful, there are many that only shopping for one person.
This Christmases reoccurring slots were up for grabs 6th November, I was told my recurring slots will NOT be honoured for Christmas or the New Year, so it was the case of "just fight with the rest of your good customers to get a delivery"!
ALL CHRISTMAS SLOT ARE BOOKED and was the same day I had your email... you have total let me down.
Please would anyone out there help me to get my shopping and my mams who I was also including in what use to be our delivery slots? Appalling Asda
MAY 2023. Asda says they do not charge more if a substitute is mire expensive! No, you constantly substitute a much cheaper product and smaller pack or weight!
Gone down hill fast, this will be my last review/update, transferring to Sainsbury after 50years of shopping with you Asda.

I AM AN EX (BLACK FEMALE) ASDA… I AM AN EX (BLACK FEMALE) ASDA WALLINGTON STORE COLLEAGUE WHO USED TO WORK ON THE MEAT DEPARTMENT MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE FROM WORKING AT THIS STORE IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! I HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT WORKING AT THIS ASDA WALLINGTON STORE ALL THE MANAGERS ARE USELESS ESPECIALLY THE OPERATIONAL MANAGER AND BOTH THE CHILLED FOODHALL MANAGERS AND SECTION LEADERS I LEFT ASDA BECAUSE I WAS BEING VICTIMISED BULLIED HARASSED AND RACIALLY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BY THEN AND NOW CHILLED FOODHALL MANAGERS AND CHILLED SECTION LEADERS! ASDA HEAD OFFICE NEEDS TO SERIOUSLY AND IMMEDIATELY CHANGE ALL THE MANAGERS INCLUDING GSM AND OPERATIONAL MANAGER IF THEY REALLY WANT THIS ASDA WALLINGTON STORE TO FULLY PROSPER NEXT YEAR 2023 IF ASDA HEAD OFFICE DOES NOT SERIOUSLY CONSIDER DOING THIS THEN THE CURRENT EXISTING PROBLEMS AT STORE WILL MOST DEFINITELY CONTINUE TO REMAIN AND GET A WHOLE LOT WORSE! FACTS!
Asda has got some greater ices on every product staff are friendly. Greate services. Cds cheap as well
I got a single Text from them saying that my order might be cancelled, I called Asda they was not great, but they promised that someone would call me before any decisions was made,. But no one called me, and I checked my emails after I finished work, and without my permission, they cancelled my order, without asking me if this was ok, so I called them straight away, but two people I spoke to said that as they was not based in the UK, they could not put me through to anyone at my local asda store, or call my local asda store on my behalf, and because it took so long I could not get a shopping. Delivery until Wednesday, so it leaves my family with no food in the house, i tried once more to speak to someone in customer service, and I finally found someone who understood, and promised me I would get a call back, I did finally get a call, they gave me a £5 voucher, but it cost us £20, at our local Tesco express to buy some food for us to eat for dinner. Tonight not very impressed with this situation
Didn't receive order but they keep fobbing me off asking for a refund, I will never use them again. Had to claim a charge back from my credit card
Amazing experince at my local asda would highly recommend and their proudcts are really good and customer serive was amazing
I recently visited ASDA Wallington and unfortunately, I had an incredibly disappointing experience due to the extremely poor customer service provided by the Operational manager, Vania. As a loyal and regular customer, I have always had positive experiences at ASDA, but this particular encounter left me frustrated and dissatisfied.
Upon entering the store, I encountered a problem with an item I had purchased the previous week. I approached Vania, the Operational Manager, to seek assistance in resolving the issue. However, instead of displaying empathy and understanding, Vania was dismissive and unhelpful. She showed a complete lack of interest in addressing my concerns and seemed more focused on rushing me away.
Not only did Vania fail to provide any solutions, but she also displayed a condescending attitude throughout our interaction. Her dismissive tone and lack of professionalism were truly disheartening. As an Asda customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when seeking assistance from a manager. Unfortunately, Vania's demeanor fell far short of these expectations.
Moreover, Vania's lack of knowledge about the store's policies procedures and overall products was evident. She seemed unaware of the basic protocols for handling customer complaints and seemed uninterested in escalating the matter or involving other colleague members who might have been better equipped to assist. This lack of competence and willingness to help left me feeling disregarded and unheard.
What disappointed me the most was Vania's inability to empathize with my situation. Customer service should always prioritize understanding and resolving customer issues promptly. However, Vania seemed more concerned with maintaining her authority than addressing my concerns. This level of indifference is unacceptable and reflects poorly on ASDA Wallington as a whole.
I sincerely hope that ASDA Head Office takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue at hand. Customer service is a crucial aspect of any business, and the behavior exhibited by Vania was far from satisfactory. I urge the senior management team at asda head office to provide additional training to their colleagues, particularly in the area of customer relations, to ensure that future customers do not encounter the same disappointing experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Asda Wallington was marred by the extremely poor customer service displayed by the Operational manager, Vania. Her dismissive attitude, lack of professionalism, and overall indifference towards my concerns were deeply unsatisfactory. I hope that Asda Wallington takes appropriate measures to rectify this issue and provides better training and support to their staff to improve the overall customer experience.
Live insects in salad, Horrific experience after being a customer for over 10 years
Purchased Asda spinach and pea shoot salad, both listed as "washed and ready to eat". To my surprise as I'm tucking into my salad, a green and yellow caterpillar gets up out of it and glides out of it. As expected I threw the salad away immediately. About four hours later I began feeling nauseous and sick, and then was sick several times. I was sent home from work that evening and was off work the following day as well, the sickness continued throughout the day. The next day I decided to contact Asda as I was worried about the origin of the caterpillar and curious as to what parasite may have been in there. The response was not what I had expected from the customer service advisor Roselyn. Her response, was that Asda stopped using pesticides so you are now more likely to find insects in your food, amongst other possible things. I did not find this a satisfactory answer to something that is supposedly washed and ready to eat and the packaging gives no indication you are more likely to find insects in Asda products after the production/sourcing changes they have clearly made. She also rudely sent me a link that tells you how to wash fruit and vegetables. She treated me like a child telling me how to wash food, despite her company packaging saying it wouldn't need to be. She then sarcastically said that she's no medical officer and could not give me an indication into why I was being violently sick and made no attempt to investigate the complaint further. Frustrated, I politely advised this response was not acceptable. I also asked to be refunded for the food considering it had all gone in the bin, something Roselyn was too superior and lazy to do. Her colleague Ian then responded, again made no attempt to investigate further and disregarded all my original comments just like Roselyn. He replied asking what it is that I wanted…. I mean how lazy can you be that you have to ask a customer how to respond to the complaint, do these people have no training at all? I then advised him that I had not even been refunded for the food which I think was around £3. I then get an email saying here have an extra £7 on us as goodwill, and basically go away. As my sickness progressed and Asda made no effort to find out what was in that salad, my GP arranged a blood test. A few weeks later I finally have my test results and am now having to go through an injury lawyer to make a claim against the poisoning, the poor customer service and my loss of earnings from work. This could have all been avoided if I had help from the team at Asda, but it was overall a disastrous and stressful experience.
Ordered 8 different things and got 4 substitutions. Refund rejected online had to fone. Was stressful and unecessary
Answer: I found ASDA to be the cheapest that will deliver, I'm house bound and my groceries must be delivered
Answer: I open my account and talk through the chat box, they deal with any problems immediately
