Two guys were great, and worked very hard to make sure the delivery was done on the same day as the collection.

We booked to have a tree collected from our local Costco store which we were told by the store was 7 feet tall and 100 - 200 kgs in weight. We booked online and thought this is easy and they sent out a van to collect it. When the delivery driver got there he had a normal van without a tail lift and it was too heavy for them to collect. He took a picture and sent it to the Any Van. Com Customer Care team and they called to say you need a bigger van and asked for the dimensions again. The person I spoke to was very rude and said he would call Costco himself which he did and they gave him the same dimensions that I had. I called Costco myself to check and then called Any Van again to check they were ok with dimensions and said did they have the correct vehicle and also suggested that just in case it was heavier make sure the van was suitable and fit for purpose! They said that they would have to charge me a further 120.00 to accommodate this. I spoke to a really nice lady called Angie who said she was happy that they had everything even a photo of the tree with a person standing next to it! They have gone back to collect the tree today with a similar size van but with a tail lift and it doesn't fit. Just spoken to Marie who said that she will not credit me any money back because even though they had a picture and the weight that because it was slight taller they could not lie it on its side because it was too heavy even though after paying 120.00 they charged me another 100.00 for the weight increase. I asked to speak to a Manager and was told I had to wait for 24 hours for a call back. So now it has cost me 92.00 plus 120.00 plus 100.00 for 1 tree that they had a picture off and the weight! Thank you Any Van for taking no responsibility and refusing to pay me any money back an absolute joke!

I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND this company to anyone. Booked a slot between 8am-4pm and they turned up 8pm! Ontop of that they closed their office by 19.2hrs when it starts 8pm finish! I had trouble with the site initially on booking. The inventory is misleading so when the 2 men (who did not understand our speak English) turned up they had only put 2 items on the inventory and then refused to take the large items. It was for moving house and somehow they do not seem to understand that with moving house comes other boxes. I was under the impression that I should only list the big items. Half an hour to 45 mins later of arguing with a do called very unprofessional manager, I was then charged adfitional money for being on first floor and swapping the bunk bed for a sofa bed... DAYLIGHT ROBBERY! No apology for being late! No bring human and meeting us halfway especially after a 4hr delay! Explained that kids had been affected by their delay! To add insult to injury the van broke down and needed a jump start! Ridiculous to say the least! I hope the drivers are paid well for their hardwork! Looking at where to take my complaint further! I used this service because the website states that your move is insured - I thought this made it worth paying the extra money rather than just using someone with a van or hiring a van and moving myself.
The driver lost a supporting beam for my table in the move. When I contacted the company about this, they said they would get back in touch and it took a full month of me chasing them for them to finally tell me that my items were only insured if the driver stole the entire contents of my move or if the van set on fire and all items were destroyed - apparently individual items aren't covered.
I'm obviously shocked by this policy and now have to replace a full table that cost me £325 because the driver has lost a beam that it is useless without.
I work from home and not having my table for a month has been extremely inconvenient. If I had been told this policy in the first place when I first complained, I would have looked at replacing my table sooner rather than waiting for a month to be told they won't be taking any action.
It's particularly frustrating, as the driver claimed the beam was never there and that they moved the table in two parts. The table was actually moved in six parts, with the driver delivering five of the six parts, so their story clearly isn't true. I understand that drivers must move a lot of items and probably don't remember specific items from individual moves, but it's clear that Anyvan's policies remove responsibility for lost items from their shoulders if they simply say they never saw an item or deny it even existed. Of course, nobody is going to admit they lost an item if they know they can simply deny having ever seen it, so it's not great for the customer.
All in all, I'm really disappointed and have lost £325 due to the driver's negligence and dishonesty and the company's unfair policies.

I had to arrange for a collection in Edinburgh for delivery in Brighton. They were helpful and communication was good. I would use them again.

I made a booking through AnyVan in September 2017 to help me move, I requested in my booking that I needed the '1 man help', as my new flat was on the fourth floor, so I needed help carrying my stuff up to the flat, when the 'helper' arrived, not only was I asked if I would mind leaving my belongings in the van so that he could go to the next job - meaning that already I wasn't going to receive adequate help, but also he was a 60 year old man with a limp who did not in any way help me empty my former address, and when we arrived at my current address, the 'helper' literally dumped my stuff in the doorway - which opened on to a road with no regard to the security or potential damage, I had an iMac and PC worth a lot of money and he had no interest in securing my belongings. He emptied the van as fast as possible and then left.
I contacted AnyVan immediately for a refund as I did not receive the service, it took them over 8 weeks to reply and then said they could only refund £25 as I received the service. I absolutely did not and their lack of help was appalling, if you plan on moving avoid this company at ALL COSTS.
