During the early process of applying for a loan with Amerisave they asked for $500. I didn't read the part about non refundable. My processor said it was to lock in interest rate and because I would not give them another chance when I decided to go with someone else. I did the same with another lender but they are refunding some of my money but keeping some for cost like title search, credit check. This is reasonable. The 2nd company also had better customer relations. I am glad I did not do a final sign with Amerisave.
At first things seem to go well then came the documents they wanted.sent about 12 documents.then doc not good enough going back 12 months now want 24 months. From ss letters of verification to pay stubs to w2 forms and on and on.then while I'm trying to get this together 24 hours later closed application due to incompleteness.put out 565 dollars for appraisal and now nothing.was refinancing a house I own and have paid on 20 years.this is a joke.look for more reputable firm and save yourself a bunch of grief.
Good evening my name is Lynette Lewis. I applied for a loan with your company. I was approved.
Approximately 2 weeks ago William B called me and told me that my loan was denied.
I sent several emails requesting speak with a loan manager.
William said he would ask his manager to call me. It's been over a week and no call or email.
At this point please just send me the denial letter.
Thank you
Awful. Lender kept asking for the same documentation over and over and over, constantly delayed things, would say things like "okay we're ready for closing" only to have "just one more thing" the next day all the way to closing. Never had this experience before, asked around if it was normal now, everyone I knew in reality / insurance was flabbergasted (we should have been super fast and easy to close, excellent credit, tons of cash). Even at closing, things weren't communicated to the title company correctly and the lawyer said he'd been doing it for over ten years and never seen something like this before. Some how we closed, but it was in spite of things, not because of some sort of wonderful experience.
Will never ever use again.
AmeriSave is not what it seems or what they claim to be. Their business model is to get you to pay the fee and then they will do as little as possible, or nothing for you. They give you the standard Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac pricing but add in LOTS of unnecessary and not required fees. They tell you that if you find a better rate, they will match it. This puts all the work back on you. If you do find a better rate (very likely) at your local bank, they will just match the deal. The local bank gets nothing and you don't get anything better than what you already found.
This is a confidence game that is designed to use high pressure and pushy actions. Don't fall for it like I did.
They charge $18.48 for a pre approval letter and do a hard inquiry instead of a soft credit pull. She was quoting me closing costs on a house of 7%, and that wasn't even a rate buy down. I would never use this company for a mortgage loan.
Today 2/7/24 my credit was pulled out. On January 14 is Been about a month since we start our process. I have report. And income of 180 k and 80 in the past two year. I have. A home that is. Worth most likely 780 k I owe 346 i only needing. 70 k cash out to. Put into my house. For improvements and. They. Said. No just. Know. Saying. I don't have enough income to support my debts. When I. Have a company. That. For. 7 years have earn. In between 800-to this past. Year reach up to ******* and they still said I don't qualify.all they want is to get. Your 500 applications fees and roll out. Waist your time asking you for million of paper work and at the end the just tell you. U cant qualify. Very. Disappointed very. Upcet. Be careful with jay Catherman he is a loan agent and I explain my situation he said. They can help. Total lies
They tell you anything to get you to sign papers. Brian, our loan officer, said if you give me a $500 fee this is just in case we have to have an appraisal on your house, if we don't need the appraisal you will get your money back and if you change your mind or do not get approved you will get the money back because you did not do an appraisal. Two days later, after discussing it, we decided the loan was not for us so we contacted Brian and he said oh no you can not get your money back, that is a Lock Fee Agreement and he sent us a paper that I had never seen that said it was a lock fee and it was non refundable. We did not sign this agreement and never saw it. Be very cautious about dealing with this company.
We worked with guys out of the GA office for a home near Charlotte NC. This was the most unprofessional, uninformative, unknowledgeable, and ill-mannered group of people I have ever dealt with. They get you started on the process and then NO communication, NO return phone calls. They would however email but never really answer any questions. I essentially had to do their job for them and educate them in the process. Needless to say, after 6 weeks of my life wasted, I rescinded my application for the lack of competence and professionalism. I even left numerous messages for managers and even the assistant to the VP with no return call. I am attempting now to find out how to reach the owner. Buyers BEWARE and DO NOT use this company!
I recently had the unfortunate experience of applying for a loan - actually assisted my elderly mom - and the loan advisor walked us through the process and requested a $500 lock down fee during that process. Well, after we were transferred to the loan processor we decided that we no longer wanted to continue. Reason being was that the loan processor was not only rude and short with us, she also requested over 15 documents that were too much trouble and to us not worth the time involved. So we wanted to stop the process. Well guess who wouldn't refund the $500. They did absolutley NOTHING for us and refuse to return my mom's money. This company can go to hell.
You took $560 out of my bank acct in Sept for home appraisal (never done). In Oct reimburse my acct the $560. Now in Nov you again took the $560 out my acct again. WHY? I am not even doing business with you at present. Please reimburse my acct and leave it alone.
How many times do I have to tell you, there is NO ONE named Robert at my number. "Recorded line" my $#*! because you would have the recording of me telling you I am not $#*!ing Robert. There is no Robert at my number, there has never been a Robert at my number, there will never be a Robert at my number. You $#*!ed telemarketers. $#*! off.
While my loan did, eventually, get approved and funded, it took three and a half months. At least two of that was due to idiocy and incompetence on the part of the title company AND poor communications internal to Amerisave, as well as poor communications to me.
Had they communicated more fully, I could have resolved the issues sooner. And yes it was me, digging and calling and harassing, that finally got the issues resolved.
If you have the time and the will to beat them, constantly, then you can get a good rate. Otherwise, go somewhere else.
But,. Things change. The last loan failed and I got a message, "Your loan has been declined", and no one spoke to me again. I will be calling other companies when the economy restarts.
Kyle doesn't answer her phone but 1 out of 5 times. Told me she locked 3.5% at $ 10,000 Then after docs. And 3 weeks the change it to 4.625 and $15,555.53 in fees. Can't get a hold of Kyle now rates have gone up since loan started. Don't waste your time with this co.
Should have ignored the initial sales pitch. Too much documentation (never had to go through anything like this before), advised 3.25% was good due to no points--now I know that's not true. Keep asking for more documents that make no sense. Felt like it was bait and switch experience. Just all around bad and here our credit score is well over 800. Want to rescind but need to know if there are costs attached. Do not go with AmeriSave. We have been put through hell.
Made the mistake of following a loan officer I'd worked with previously to this company. I could see the changes in him within the first week, but it took me until the day before our original closing to really regret this decision. As others have said they constantly change the goal posts and give you one more "last condition!" Time and time again. Our sellers rain out of patience and pulled the plug after the third extension addendum expired, meaning we lost out on our dream house and my pregnant wife will likely be giving birth in a trailer. Do NOT go with AmeriSave!
Horrible experience, My opinion stay away at all cost. Sent them all my personal information for processing which to be honest I regret. More than 80 days past with no rate lock. Loan Originator keeps answering you with the same answers as if they buy time with hopes that the rate goes on their favor. Now I carry a hard pull on my credit which has left me outside the 45 day window in applying with a new lender and not being considered as a 1 hard pull hit.
I wish I had read these reviews first, we were promised rates that cost us thousands in points, which we could have gotten anyways-they had a $******* origination fee which is ludicrous, we had our current mortgage company look over their stuff & they said the numbers were not realistic & the loan would probably be declined once it got to underwriting. Unfortunately we had already paid the $500 application fee which we are now out.And despite me making it clear we no longer wanted to work with this company they kept sending mails asking for information. NO MEANS NO! What a rip-off
It should have been easy and the individual I talked to on the phone at first was such a good, kind salesman. I was very much looking forward to getting a low interest rate loan from them. Unfortunately, the rest of the business is just a corporate, bureaucratic, "you're not a high priority, please wait multiple days for help" style machine. Good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone. And they're so unorganized. I had to resubmit so many documents on the website... all in all, I'd rather pay just a little bit more in interest and work with a local bank, or some other bank. This is the worst experience I've had with a lender. I felt like the absolute lowest priority.
Answer: BEWARE AMERISAVE luring you in with Bait and Switch tatic. Will ignore you for many weeks, will allow rate lock to expire then doubles your interest rate and changes terms from a 15 year to a 30 year. AMERISAVE WILL BAIT AND SWITCH… DO NOT TRUST AMERISAVE! GO ELSE WHERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Answer: Rocket is my 2nd choice, they wanted to see if they could try to better the offer. Customer service and Rockets app are excellent. I'm going with Goodleap because they approached me 1st. Going with a conventional loan.
Answer: Stupidity plain amd simple. Worse company ever. Stear clear
Answer: Can't so don't try. I've been trying fir 2 months to no avail.
Answer: No success using this bank! Terrible service stear clear
