Loan originator fired while processing my loan. Was approved for one loan and was given an fha instead of what was promised. Closing costs are WAY higher then first promised and still need a down payment even for a first time home buyer. They never respond to your emails and spam you the same list of todo items every day even though they wont answer any of your questions that you asked about the items that need to be completed. Very unprofessional.
Great experience until the end. I began the process early and became fully approved with a certified letter and a closing guarantee of $1,500 if the loan did not close due to their issues. During the last two weeks of closing, they could not obtain an appraisal and said it was out of their control. If not theirs, then whos? Due to their inefficiency, they could not close and would not honor their guarantee. DONT TRUST anything and if by some chance this review does not hinder your decision... please have a back-up for when they shatter your dreams.
We started a simple refi process 6 months ago, what should have simple, turned into a nightmare. Throughout the entire process, I had to call multiple people to get them to do their job, and still it took this long. The worst part, was that rate and terms provided were changes in the last moment. Though I was told my rate will be locked, they did not do it, and when they are ready to close, they changes the rate, from a loan credit to 2.5 points. There was no communication of this at any time and they refuse to do anything about it. So after 6 months, i am starting the process over again, NOT with AmeriSave and never will deal with them again, and I urge everyone to avoid this scam!
The loan officer (Lauren Allen) is like none I've ever work with. Thru her, AmeriSave is represented for their customer care and diligent work, in accomplishing families get in the home worked so hard for or the choice of your dreams :)
A simple refi has been dragging on for months now. We started in September and it is now nearing the end of November. Communication is extremely poor if not non existent. They repeatedly ask you for the same information over and over. Complete waste of time!
Called to get a refinance. Told me we could close in a few weeks. Paid the $500 application fee, and was moving forward with the loan. Come to find out from Fannie Mae that because we just bought our house in June, we couldn't refinance our loan for six months, which would be in DECEMBER! They said EVERY mortgage company knows this. Had I known this I NEVER would have paid the $500 fee. Sent an email to the loan officer telling them to withdraw our application, and refund our money as they were deceptive, and knew we couldn't close in a few weeks. Haven't heard ANYTHING back in two days. Disputed the charge with my bank. Won't let this go. Scam scam scam
Do not have any dealings with this company. They scammed me out of $750. For an appraisal they never did and I would gladly take them to court if I had the means. I 'm a retired disabled veteran and companies like this pray on the disabled and unaware.
I paid an appraisal fee of $425.00 while going through pre approval process. I chose another company because their rate was a whole point lower. Was told my $425.00 was nonrefundable even thought no appraisal was done by them. Would never recommend them to anyone.
I was dealing with Theresa Lacy and at first all seem ok. My card was charged immediately for the appraisal. When I looked at the paperwork she had decided I needed an additional 10k and thought I didn't catch that. So I asked her why would she add that to my loan when I did not ask for it. Never got a response. At that point I decided not to do business with them. I continued to receive emails to sign the paperwork even thought I had sent her a message I was not going with them. I have repeatedly asked to reverse the appraisal charges since no appraisal had been done and it hasn't been credited back to my account nor does she respond to my emails. So BEWARE with this company as they will try to sneak in things you have not asked for. I do not like people who lie and TRY to take advantage of others!
Probably worst professional experience I have had... ever (not just with mortgage banks, with ANY company). I'm 48 years old FWIW, owned 2 homes, several refi's etc. Absolute amateur clown show here. Was literally about to submit a complaint to the consumer protection bureau after months of non-answers and radio silence (especially after reading multiple similar horror stories to my own, across the country), when my loan officer called me. I won't go into all the almost comical details here, just trust me on this... for refi's at least, choose literally ANY other company than Amerisave. The. Worst.
I'd just add to the general negative comments to say one of AmeriSave's brokers cold called me weeks after I'd been looking into a refi with other lenders, and when I said I wasn't interested, he snorted, laughed and hung up. Name was Jeremy or Jeremiah or similar. Real clown. Don't do business with people who have contempt for potential customers the instant they don't think there's money to be made.
It's unfortunate that I didn't do diligence in my research of this so called company. From the very start of the process it was very inconsistent. Extremely poor Costomer service. It's seems as though from top to bottom the employees seem to be on very different pages. Fallow up response is terrible, communication terrible. In all honesty I believe that there is something far sinister taking place there. I initially worked with a agent that left amerisave for reasons she never said but she led me to believe and stated that certain clients were treated differently than others. I honestly don't think they had me in their best interest. I waisted very close to 50 days with this so called company. I would not advise anyone to seek their services for anything. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my 63 years and I've purchased a handful of homes in my life. Stay away from these people for your own good.
My refi was in process for about 5 months. I responded virtually immediately to every document request, have great credit, there were no property issues or any other problem. The loan was approved to close after 4 months, but then put back into delay because they found more documents that had "expired" because of their prior delays. No status is provided, there's no response to questions, and it is almost impossible to talk to anyone because (a) they have a broken phone system and (b) calls just go to voicemail. The applicant is basically treated like dirt as they plod along in some chaotic world. Two stars instead of one because the closing was done nicely: electronic signatures on most documents and they sent a local notary over to get final signatures (took less than an hour).
Check Keller mortgage, giving you 1000credit plus they work fast, just be careful what you sign with them. Pay attention to every cost, fees.
AmeriSave has sent me offer with locked rate, and they called my agent, seller, title, they even send an appraisal without me acepting their offer. I am so stressed and so mad at this business that i cant believe they exists in USA. They should be closed down for being super sneaky, and working behind your back. Never work with them PLEASE> i went thru hell just because i applied to get a rate. But applied to many lenders and no one proceeds, no one. ONly AMErSave is hungry shark
I filed an application to refinance my primary mortgage with AmeriSave back in March. After numerous requests for MORE financials (2 years taxes and current pay stubs were provided), two closing dates were set and never met. I was told I wouldn't need an appraisal, then I would. Despite high income as a self-employed contractor (copywriter), an excellent credit history, and 300-plus months of paying my mortgage in a timely manner, my application was denied in June. The reason apparently was that my LLC wasn't two years old. If that's the case, then how come they didn't know that when I first sent all my financials? They wasted my time, and that of their employees. There's no way this application should have been strung along for 3 months. Complete and utter waste of time.
I fedexed a check from my insurance company for them two endorse and send back so I could deposit the check. The check was almost $9000 and I was out of pocket for payment to the contractor. After waiting for almost nine weeks, I called to inquire about the check. They told me there was no record of receiving such a check even though it was sent by Federal Express overnight. Then I spoke with someone handling my case and send them proof of insurance as I received an email stating my homeowners policy on file was expired. The case handler said she would forward to the insurance department. Three weeks later I received a letter in the mail that they were going to purchase insurance on my home since I supposedly ignored the original email notification. What a sham!
No communication! Except for payment of application fee ($500). In short don't waste your time or money, they are in partnership with title and appraisal. They don't want your business! Only your deposit.
Failed on many Federal regulations, GFE came at the end of three weeks, Not asking for deposit back, can't stand dealing with these incompetent people.
They don't stand behind any of their promises, I have good credit, plenty of reserves and could not accomplish a refi. Simple cask out to 80%, They don't do those, but according to advertising, not so. Stay away.
What a clown show! I had a straight forward re-fi with a LTV ratio of 28% and more than adequate income from a job Ive been at 16 years. They would have made 600k if I had defaulted. The originator left the job- leaving me with an idiotic processor that requested the same documents over and over again. Then had the audacity to ask me for my employers tax returns. I kid you not. Needless to say- Im three months in and am losing my much lower rate. Avoid this clown car at all costs.
We just closed our refi last week. I wanted to write a positive review on them because I did read negative reviews about AmeriSave before going forward with them. When we read the reviews, we decided to stay on top of them as far as needing any documents from us, etc. We worked with Gray Hancock, and he was professional and communicative. We got paranoid because they kept asking for documents, and we thought we wouldn't be able to finish by the deadline of the rate, but we were fine. I'm sure whenever there's a poor experience, you will read about it more online, so since we had a positive experience, we wanted it known out there that not everyone has a bad experience, and I'd say give them a chance.
We tried to refinance with amerisave we sent all the documents we were asked to and they couldn't find them, all our ss numbers bank account numbers tried calling many times with no return call no a good experience paid $800 for a appraisal that never happened now having trouble getting a refund
Answer: BEWARE AMERISAVE luring you in with Bait and Switch tatic. Will ignore you for many weeks, will allow rate lock to expire then doubles your interest rate and changes terms from a 15 year to a 30 year. AMERISAVE WILL BAIT AND SWITCH… DO NOT TRUST AMERISAVE! GO ELSE WHERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Answer: Rocket is my 2nd choice, they wanted to see if they could try to better the offer. Customer service and Rockets app are excellent. I'm going with Goodleap because they approached me 1st. Going with a conventional loan.
Answer: Stupidity plain amd simple. Worse company ever. Stear clear
Answer: Can't so don't try. I've been trying fir 2 months to no avail.
Answer: No success using this bank! Terrible service stear clear
