I had a reasonable quote from Amerisave to install solar panels in my house. A month or so after signing the contract I get an email about a loan modification. I tried to open that email but I was not able to. When I contacted my salesman Gerald asking him why is there a change in the loan amount, he proceeded to tell me that their inspector who inspected my roof determined that I need a new roof that cost $15k which was added to the cost of the solar panels. At that moment I realized that those guys are crooks as I was never told about this new roof and they were going to install and charge me an extra $15k. Be aware of this company and avoid doing business with them they are scammers.

Stay away from this lender. Imagine after asking for my mortgage payoff. That I had to get my self because my present mortgage company refused to give it to them. I wonder why? And they kept asking for same paperwork over and over again. Delay after delay. Finally I demanded an answer after that they said I was denied the refinance?

My husband and I were seeking a mortgage to refinance our home. We have stellar credit, no debt. If you want a total waste of your time, AmeriWrong is for you! We started the application process in August. It is now January 30th. We were bounced around from one loan officer to another because their company can't hold onto their employees. Never... I say never join in a contractual basis with this company.

Very upset about how I was treated by this company. I got strung along with a loan (Bryan Klosterman was my loan officer) for 2 months (which I could have been working with someone else), then after the disclosures came out, I got an automated email saying it was declined. I left voicemails, texts, emails and even called the support team and they didn't get back to me. They basically ghosted me. I've never been treated like this from a mortgage company (I have purchased 4 houses in the past). Don't work with them.

If I could give less than one star I would. This company stole $500 and refused to refund me. They lied and provided no services. Original terms and quotes drastically changed to where I could not get a loan and yet they tool a $500 interest rate lock-in deposit and yet I am not getting a loan through them or anyone and can't now and they just stole $500 from my bank account since they refuse to refund me the money. They are crooks and should not be trusted. Stay away from Amerisave and go with actual reputable people and ethical people who aren't out to scam you.

To make it short:
Offered low interest rate, ended up with 0.9 higher interest rate and had to put down an extra 20k, this was after the deadline with the attorney meaning if we did not put the 20k we could have lost the rest of the money we had put down because of them, I am not sure if they use this as a way to trap you in by telling the attorney that they have everything all set when in reality they are still tweaking our "locked rate" to a higher one, and our loan amount to a smaller one. They were "working on it" for quiet too long requesting the same documents over and over again gave us 5 different loan disclosures I believe and they kept missing the deadlines, not sure whose fault it was but they do not seem like they cared at the beginning and almost at the end is when only one person apologized about the "trouble". It was the worst experience ever. I truly regret choosing them.

Horrible incompetence
December 24, 2020

One star is way to many for them. I was doing a simple IRRL and they would repeatedly send emails requesting items I had sent several times before. My only POC would only say the emails are not from him and doesn't know why. It was horrible and would rather pay extra interest than to have to deal with these people at all and then to think I would have to deal with this for the remainder of the loan.

I filed a report on this company they called to talk about financing, never sent over paperwork for me to sign to give permission to pull my credits and broke into my locked equafax account and got information on me. So I filed a FTC of tampering with my credit information. September 4,2022 they did. I tried to called them no answer, I want to bring them to court as well because that is illegal.

Working with AmeriSave was a very good experience. The instructions were clear, I would use them again, The experience was professional and thorough and the representative, Cody, was quite knowledgeable and went through multiple options. Everything was online and the closing was easy and the rate was definitely one of the lowest. Glad to have worked with them. (Louisiana)

Refi gone bad
November 2, 2020

Tried to refi our tomnhome with a 800 plus credit score and no debt. 30 days we waited only to find out no deal. Do not believe Corey Lynch or Anthony Painter! They are not good or knowledgeable lenders. Too many unanswered promises! There are many mortgage companies who do better!

Applied for a refinance loan. Spoke with Connor sent in all that was asked Switched my home owners insurance to say Amerisave. Got a little nervous About the whole thing because other mortgage lenders stated that 1.87 percent loan didn't exist. Called Connor and it got a little heated but thought it was worked out by the end of conversation. He then went to his supervisor Zach and Zach cancelled my loan. I put alot of time and effort in only to be cancelled because of a misunderstanding. Emailed Zach but he wouldn't respond. Don't question their honesty or you'll be cancelled

If you want to waste your time deal with amerisave. Attempted to refinance here in Vegas. The loan officer asked me to send them documentation which I sent, then he asked me to send it again, and again, and again. What a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend amerisave to anyone.

Completely unprofessional.
September 10, 2020

Amerisave promised us a rate of 2.5% APR on a 20 year. We paid the $500 Application fee and was told that would lock the rate. However, FIVE days later, Amerisave wouldn't return our phone calls or provide us with proof of our rate lock in writing. Given this lack of professionalism, we took our business elsewhere.

Use at your own risk
December 30, 2020

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to refi a piece of rental property for over 90 days and finally I gave up and withdrew my application when they requested info I had submitted months prior. They have been telling me for months that I am in the final stages but the loan never closes. I have 800+ credit scores, I own a very successful manufacturing business since 2002, and have plenty of assets. I recently refinanced my own home in 45 days without an appraisal. This company is one to avoid.

My experience with AmeriSave has been very positive thus far. Zachary Firquin, Processor, has been extremely helpful in that he not only sends me updates via email, but has also called me to explain the status of my refi as we go along. He handles everything very professionally and I have been kept informed of where we are. They completed everything in a timely manner!

They look like the make the loan process simple during the online application. They request all of the information and approve you with a locking rate. Right at the end, when you call the loan originator, they change the required information and then deny the loan on false requirements. They wasted all the time requiring information after stating that we were approved. DO NOT USE THEM!

I was contacted by AmeriSave (Loan Officer - Adil Ashraf) and given some estimates of costs associated for refinancing my primary residence which was mortgage. He was very pushy and he asked for my card number to put on file so he could continue with the process; immediately after he got card my card information, he charged my card a $450. Immediately, I called him to cancel the whole thing, he did not answered the phone. When he did not answer my calls; I emailed him to cancel the process, he did not reply to my email either. So, just like that they took a $450 from me (I wish there was an option to give a ZERO rating)... they are very dishonest and misleading, stay away from AmeriSave.

Company is a SCAM
March 3, 2023

Extremely unprofessional company. I was working with them for over 30 days and had to walk away with 13 days left to close. Bryan Barlage is incapable of checking his emails and communicating. He would ask me for documents and I would send them within a few hours. Then he would call me a week later asking for the same docs. He did this several times and eventually cancelled my loan with 13 days left to close and refused to reimburse the $500 interest lock in fee. He also is invoicing me for the appraisal but refused to send that appraisal to me or my new lender. Thankfully I was able to work with and get approved with my new lender with the same exact documents I sent Amerisave, and they did not give me any trouble. This company is a scam so think twice before working with them. Do not waste your time and money like I did.

The worse experience!
August 18, 2022

The brightest part of the experience was speaking with Margarite Davidson. As the loan originator she is easy going and awesome and will make you think the rest of the experience will be the same. They asked for each documents at least a dozen times, not an exaggeration, to the point where I think its legal to file for harassment. Communication is very limited. They tell you certain documents are okay, then tell you days and even weeks later that you cannot use that document, they harass any gift donors you have so that they never want to donate to anything ever again. They don't use any deductive reasoning skills; everything has to be in savage terms. They delayed my closing several times forcing me to waste continuous days off. I had to reschedule movers and installation techs 3 times, costing me money and time. I had to increase my blood pressure medication. And I think im an alcoholic now. It made homeownership feel less special.

AmeriSave's Tim Apenbrink has been GREAT! He has been patient with me and enjoyable to work with. He has shown a real understanding of the refinancing process and explaining the interest rates, APR, etc in easy way for me to understand. He has been readily available every time I've emailed him or called him with questions. He has willingly helped walk me thru the process on the computer each time. I had such confidence in him. He made me feel like I was in good hands and I could be at peace. This has been especially important since I have not been well and have been struggling with severe anxiety. I felt well taken care of thus far. Thanks Tim!
