The only reason I gave one star is they won't let have none. Do not trust all those positive reviews you see that are not written by true customers that have dealt with Amerisave. This company is the worst to deal with. After receiving a quoted closing date, they drag on your portal requirements every few days. Keep asking for the same documents over and over. Don't fall for the "BS"! They led me on for 3 months before I decided to move on. Do yourself a favor. Dont use Amerisave!
I called to ask about the application. The loan officer who called me back sounded like she just wanted to read off of a script, spoke over me, and was the nastiest person I've encountered in 2021. Granted, luckily I haven't encountered too many nasty people since it's a pandemic, and I mostly just interact with cashiers at the grocery store. I see why this awful company has such low ratings.
Stay away and read reviews. Have been lied too on 3 occasions from loan originator about refund of application fee $500. Each time stated that he has started refund process or will check into status and no response. Now I am getting no response. Was initially going to refi and was unable to due to length of time since last refi. Planned on using Amerisave when eligible but will never use and will make sure to let others know not to use them.
David Clark from AmeriSave Mortgage provided excellent customer service to me - the very next morning on a Monday as I submitted my loan application on a Sunday night. He promptly responds to all my emails with my questions, even when it is midnight for him as I am on pacific time zone. He is very professional and picks up my calls instantly - which is quite amazing. This is the fourth mortgage loan that I have done with AmeriSave Mortgage. For online lenders, they are upfront with their rates and fees and they offer the best rates. You are kept informed and can see the status of your loan processing on their online system.
Fast, efficient, thorough. Michael was great! He made me feel comfortable which isn't easy. He spent a lot of time introducing the AmeriSave website and helping me navigate. Michael returned calls promptly when I was unable to login and with his assistance, we were able to check off all the boxes. I am hoping that the rest of the loan process runs as smoothly. I will definitely recommend to family and friends,
The sales force of Amerisave is great at pulling you in - super friendly. Once they have you as a customer good luck getting any help from them. The rates are ok not very competitive. We fed them all our info and they approved our loan but they wer always difficult to reach. No phone calls you are given a personal email to use for your questions. It was not even clear how to send our payment. I called customer service o their web site and got a very odd email address. It was invalid. Eventually we were given a proper address. However my bank account number was recently changed due to fraud. They refuse to accept payment from the new valid account making us miss a payment. The company was difficult to work with. I would not recommend. It took a really long time to get the loan and the rates were just ok. If they were just easier to reach would have made such a difference.
Lynn Ong is a very knowledgeable, kind, attentive person to have working for you when trying to navigate the stormy seas of getting a loan. She made a stressful time for us much more bearable and explained things in a way we could understand. Lynn was always very prompt at getting back to us when we had questions and she guided us through all the many steps that are needed when trying to obtain a loan. I am very pleased with her performance and will definitely use her again if needed.
I worked with both David Clark and Nikki Tran to secure a loan and they have been awesome. They respond to my questions with superior knowledge and in a very timely way. Customer Service is extremely important but very few firms train their representatives as AmeriSave. Great Job!
I will highly recommend your company to my friends and family.
At first things seem to go well then came the documents they wanted.sent about 12 documents.then doc not good enough going back 12 months now want 24 months. From ss letters of verification to pay stubs to w2 forms and on and on.then while I'm trying to get this together 24 hours later closed application due to incompleteness.put out 565 dollars for appraisal and now nothing.was refinancing a house I own and have paid on 20 years.this is a joke.look for more reputable firm and save yourself a bunch of grief.
My loan officer was very unresponsive, I'm not sure if he was really even working most of the time. Delay after delay, had to resubmit documents multiple times. Tried calling his manager who never called me back, also called customer service, that was a joke too. Customer service just puts in a request for the manager to call you, but they never did. Save yourself the headache, especially when time is of the essence and money is on the line.
Awhile back I posted a negative review of Amerisave. They had not paid my county taxes at the time and I had spoken with someone that was less than helpful regarding this. The issue has since been resolved and they agreed to pay the late fees. Also in hindsight while there were other things that didn't please me, I can understand that all mtg companies are swamped at this time and I'll attribute the delays etc. to that fact. All things considered, even with basically only social security income to qualify me, they did get the job done and I got better rate. You'll be OK choosing Amerisave.
We began the process in the middle of July. From day one it seemed legit and would be the perfect fit for us on a refinance. However from then on the asked for the same documents multiple times and we sent them every time. This continued until recently when out of no where after we had thought every was good I check our amerisave page and it was declined with no explanation, email, or call. We had 3 closing dates set in this time frame and the day before on every single one something else would come up. The two guys we dealt with had no clue what was needed to send to underwriting to get this thing done. I did 75% of the leg work myself. I am so glad that it was declined because my wife and I were started worrying what the service would be like after closing and if they would screw that paperwork up and we would lose our house. If anyone is looking to refinance or buy a home stay as far away from Amerisave as possible.
We have people out of state doing mortgages. All they are wanting is for you to sign a documents to collect their $500.00 fee, which is none refundable. They give you a list of documents to be provided but they never get done with the requested paper work. There are E-mails from these folks stated for the same paperwork you already provided. No communications with the gentleman that accepted your application. He has gone on to accept more applicants. This is a scam!
Deal with your local Banks instead of getting scammed by these People!
Amerisave contacted us to refinance in January. There terms were favorable so we decided to move forward. They asked for a $500 deposit, which we paid. My and my wife's credit scores are excellent; one over 800 and the other over 750, we have a good income, but make it in less traditional ways, we own a business and consult on the side, one of us is a published writer. Everything was going smoothly, we even had a closing date, our agent called us nearly daily with updates. Then, out of the blue we get an email saying that they are no longer willing to fund and that a letter will be emailed with exact reasons. We received the email, but the attached letter was 'secure' and because we were not a customer any longer we could not see the contents of the letter. Amerisave kept our $500. Emails to my agent, which normally were answered in a few hours, are now ignored. I wish there were zero stars
This company is a nightmare. With so much riding on a real estate transaction for all parties involved... these guys took their sweet time, did not comply with deadlines, told lies that were proven to be lies, and had terrible communication. Due to their negligence, they held up closing which caused many negative consequences. Do you think they cared or tried to remedy the situation. Nope. CALL ANOTHER LENDER!
Underwriters are constantly changing the goal posts and asking for more docs, just delay, delay, delay. Communication is non existent from my loan officer and i am having to constantly chase them for information. I don't know if Amerisave has a funding issue or if its staff are just completely incompetent.
For the record I have an excellent credit score and good income with lots of equity in my property, there is no reason to hold the loan up this long.
After you pay the $500 application fee you will find they will not take your calls. They only communicate through document request. No matter how many times you send it they keep requesting it. I called the customer service finally got someone to answer. They could not help me but a Mr. Daniel would call someday... still waiting on someday.
I decided to give this company a try at refinancing my home. I did a little research on them but apparently not enough. To make it short, the loan originator told me to continue I would need $500 deposit fee. Why should I pay $500 upfront when a hundred things could go wrong I refused to pay it and now have a hard pull on my record. Paying the bills is already hard enough as it is, stay away from lenders like these.
After changing loan officers and processors 3-4 times and getting ghosted, I realized that after waiting 3.5 months, this deal was not happening. They told me all they were waiting for was title to come back and then I kept following up over and over with phone calls and emails and NOTHING. I called the number kept getting transferred and hung up on. They definitely wasted time I can never get back. Don't be like me and ignore the reviews. Everything you read is true, they are the absolute worst ever.
They will offer you a better rate than anyone else, charge you a $500 non refundable fee, then ignore your emails for weeks. Once rate goes up, they will tell you that you need to pay them $10,000 for them to honor the rate they initially offered. None of their initial disclosures are binding so they can do this scam in total impunity. I hope my loss is your gain, and that you will select a real mortgage company for your refinance needs.
Answer: BEWARE AMERISAVE luring you in with Bait and Switch tatic. Will ignore you for many weeks, will allow rate lock to expire then doubles your interest rate and changes terms from a 15 year to a 30 year. AMERISAVE WILL BAIT AND SWITCH… DO NOT TRUST AMERISAVE! GO ELSE WHERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Answer: Rocket is my 2nd choice, they wanted to see if they could try to better the offer. Customer service and Rockets app are excellent. I'm going with Goodleap because they approached me 1st. Going with a conventional loan.
Answer: Stupidity plain amd simple. Worse company ever. Stear clear
Answer: Can't so don't try. I've been trying fir 2 months to no avail.
Answer: No success using this bank! Terrible service stear clear
