I was super excited to purchase these shoes but ended up disappointed. They are not worth the money. I purchased the wool loungers to have some slip on ready to go shoes. Yes, they are comfortable but they state that they are breathable and mine still carry an odor. Also the inside of the shoe is coming unglued and I have only had them a year.
I don't want order online from home depot anymore!
They don't want return my online order before it's shipped out. I called the same day to cancel, but they told me they can't process until may 1/2017. And they shipped it Monday. I ordered large staff and it's hard for me to take it back.
I bought a pair of the gray wool mizzies last winter. They are super comfortable, and held up well on my many walks in NYC. They are lightweight and exceptionally warm as well. I liked them so much that I bought another pair this winter, and they have been a staple in my now-more-casual winter work wardrobe. I have received many compliments from coworkers. I only wish they had even more color combos to choose from, because I am certainI would buy another pair!
I like the look of the shoes but the soles are too thick for these to meet my needs for feeling the ground. I think they are marketing them incorrectly, in case that is why you are interested in the brand.
No retail stores in Australia but plenty around the world, OK. $15 for shoelaces & $8 to post? Come on...
For Aussies it is far cheaper for us to buy on the U.S. website & shipped here than buy on their Aussie website. Truly you hate Aussies & you suck!
I really wanted to love these shoes. I wear a 9.5 to a 10, so I ordered a 10. The shoe is the correct size because my heel slips up and down, but the toe box is very cramped and my toes hit the end. They are so uncomfortable I never wear them. I thought they might stretch out so I tried them twice. In addition, I can't believe anyone would seriously wear these shoes without socks. I tried it briefly in the hose and it was very sweaty and uncomfortable. I do not recommend. Save your money.
Ordered a pair of Allbirds for the first time on Nov. 29th. Needed a half size larger. Allbirds refuses to exchange the shoes for a half size larger even though they have the shoe in stock. Consumer choice: keep shoes that are too small or return for a refund. Otherwise pay $20 more to get the correct size.
Terrible business practice. Refused to be highjacked by them, so return for refund.
Would have liked to try these shoes out and possibly be a long term customer.
I bought the Mizzles because our grass is almost always wet in the morning, and I need a shoe to keep my feet dry. The Mizzle is not that shoe. Whatever water-resistance material it uses is completely insufficient. These shoes soak right through and take forever to dry. Will never buy another pair much as I like the style.
I had the hardest time finding comfortable shoes because of RA and PF. I bought the Wool Runners and love them. I usually wear a size 9.5 - 10 so I ordered the 10 & they fit great. There was no breaking in period and they are soooo comfortable! I have since bought a pair for my daughter and a 2nd pair in another color for me. We travel a lot so I can't wait to wear them on our next trip. No more sneakers for me! I rarely leave reviews but thought I would for Allbirds since they are so comfortable :)
While I love all of my Allbirds, my recent experience with customer service was very disappointing. My trailrunners upper section by the toes wore out very quickly and when I inquired about it, I was told it was within normal wear and tear. I change shoes out frequently so am well aware of what's normal. I believe the weave was defective but I was not even offered a discount on a new pair of shoes.
Bought shoes after friend raved about them and I really wanted wool shoes. They are the lightest shoes I have ever owned and they keep my feet warm. I wear a size 8-8.5 and I had to return the first pair for a size nine. The return process was easy: print a mailing label, take it the post office and as soon as it is in the system they send the new pair of shoes. The size nine is snug heel to toe so these shoes run small. My main issue is I wear Superfeet orthotics and the heel upper is so short my foot slides out when walking - I feel like I will lose my shoe. I wear them but I won't buy another pair.
Been wearing a pair of allbird wool runners (about 50% of the time) for a year and a half now. I had never heard of them until my husband got them for me for my birthday, and then I was irritated because I didn't like the look of them and had wanted to pick out my own shoes (jerk, I know). Was planning to return them but I tried them on just so he wouldn't feel too bad, and then didn't want to take them off. After wearing them a week I had decided that I loved them. I can move my claustrophobic toes around with ease. The only downside to these is that now all my other shoes feel very rigid and constricting in comparison. I'm not sure why others on here have had such a negative experience, but wanted to share my good experience to counteract that. Came across these reviews while trying to decide what kind of allbirds to get for my next pair.
I was looking for new sneakers that wouldn't end up being a waste of money if I didn't like them (as has happened in the past). Knowing I could return Allbirds no questions asked within thirty days, I went for it. I slid them on and they fit so perfectly you'd think they were made just for me, which has literally never happened in all the years I've tried on new shoes. They hug my feet but aren't so tight that my feet sweat or feel suffocated. The insoles are super comfortable, not too plush, but not completely unforgiving. It sounds cliche, but it's like "walking on a cloud"... they are actually the world's most comfortable shoe. So much so that my tree runners have essentially replaced all my other shoes at this point. I wear them every single day. The ONLY complaint I have is that the laces don't stay tied and need to be tightened pretty often.
I purchased a pair of the Wool Runner Mizzles May 2022. Shoes are clearly designed for little itty bitty feet, which is no surprise considering the company is located in Korea
I'll start with the cons:
1) They are very narrow - I do NOT have wide feet, have never worn "wide size" shoes or boots.
2) The tongue area of the shoe is extremely tight. So tight that the top of my feet hurt like hell. - I have undid & redid the laces a dozen times to no relief. After close examination, the tongue is actually stitched all the way to not allow flexibility (a cheap design found in knock off Nike shoes).
3) A $110 pair of shoes is pretty steep.
Pros:
1) They are light in weight.
2) They look nifty.
3) I fit in with the CNN crowd.
Purchased ALL Bird Men's Wool Runner Mizzles on sale.
The shoe laces are only 42 inch long, correct size is 48min long
Tried to return back but was told the following via e mail.
""we're sorry to hear about those laces! Because these shoes were a part of a special discounted program and final sale, we, unfortunately, aren't able to provide a return or an exchange due to limited supply. We hope you understand. We hope to have a better solution in the future and are always looking to add to our product selections. If you're at all interested, there are some single laces sold on Etsy. We're big fans of supporting small businesses!
When I placed the order, it did not say final sale or non returnable.
Since All Bird has expanded there customer service has been reduced to "CUSTOMER BE AWARE'
I have shoes, underwear and socks from AllBirds. Love it! The shoes are very comfortable, the underwear - like your second skin. I, my partner and our friends never had any issue with AllBird's products. My favourite brand
On the pic below my 1.5years old shoes
I had read some articles about these shoes. Good reviews, recommended also for Plantar Fasciitis so I bought one pair to give it a try but I founf out It's just a regular shoes like any other shoes. For 145 euro i was expecting little bit extra ( like piece of gold! Lol :P) but you know what i mean? What i don't like about it is that with in 3 months of purchasing, the shoes has these small fuzz balls (i don't know exactly what it called). But, yes these shoes are light weighted which is plus point.
I had a pair of Breezers for a couple of months' light wear and there is a hole in one toe. For the price you pay, the quality and durability is just not there. Material actually unraveling. I do not recommend.
I was hoping to wear these shoes to a trade show. Unfortunately the shoes were too small even though I sized up after reading the reviews. They sold out of the shoes and I could only go pick them up in the San Francisco store (side bar - how are you sold out if your retail store sells them?). They offered to put them aside for me but I couldn't get to the store. I sent an email asking them to ship them to me. Three days later I get an email they don't have them any longer and wouldn't ship. There is no way to call the retail store. End result = zero shoes for me and dissatisfied customer.
I've owned allbirds since the early days. I LOVE my first pair but have bought two pairs since and the one I got most recently is materially lower/cheaper quality. Most recently, they re-released a special edition pair and, in spite of the cheaper materials, I had loved the color and decided to buy them. I added them to my cart in the size I wanted and went through the full checkout/payment process. As it loaded to finalize the transaction, the whole page seemingly crashed and sent me back home. When I went to start over, they were now listed as sold out. I called the phone help center and explained the situatio. While they weren't rude at all, they basically just told me I was $#*! out of luck and to buy a different pair. All in all, I think the era of buying allbirds is over for me
Answer: Mine have not held up well. Had six pairs and am down to two pairs in less than a year. And the only reason these have not fallen apart is because I don't wear them that often since they are special colors. They are not worth $95.00. I had the tree runners and the wool runners, and they all did the same thing. My toes wore a hole in them. Very disappointed. I really wanted to love these shoes.
Answer: No! At least not for me. I was getting very sore feet (pain lasting days) after just puttering around my small retirement apartment, spending most of my waking hours sitting down.
Answer: It's hassle but they take returns, you'll be fine.
Answer: Yes, buy another brand, they're compete idiotic for not having half sizes. Neither one size up or size down fit me well enough to keep them, which makes sense since I'm a half size!
Answer: I got a hole in my first pair and they replaced them - there is already a hole in the second pair and they were very clear that they would not replace them again. It has only been a couple of months.
