I see so many complaints about aliexpress, but if you obey a few ground rules it is one of the best places to buy almost anything.
I'm in the UK and I get most items I order within 10 days or less. If you want to shop safely on aliexpress, follow these rules:
1) Don't buy anything from a company with less than 90% positive feedback.
2) Don't buy any product with less than 10 orders and 2 positive user feedback ratings
3) If an item looks too good to be true, don't buy it!
4) Don't buy branded items - e.g. Apple, Samsung etc.
It's so simple, yet so many people mess it up which gives the site a reputation it doesn't deserve.

I recently purchased a s4 phone case from Shenzhen TOMYOU Technology Co., Ltd. I never received my order. I ordered it December 8th and still have yet to get it at. It said that it was confirmed to be delivered on December 18th, I check my mail and I checked with the post office who said they didn't have it and if they did it would have been delivered. I contacted Jackie who was anything but helpful. He put blame on the post office, refused to send me a case or refund me my money. It's a Damn joke trying to contact aliexpress. Do not buy! I ordered a coat for my daughter who is tall, measured to make sure it would fit according to their measurements and the sleeves were very short when received. They must have midgets there! It will cost too much to send back and complained to the seller but so far no response. Another order has 3 more days left for me to receive it but cannot be tracked. So far i find this site HORRIBLE! I had ordered two cardigans to give on Christmas at the middle of OCTOBER it is JANUARY and i have still received nothing and the sellers tell me it was shipped a long time ago and i emailed and only one replied back and didn't even answer my question?! And I could even complain because the customer service is no help what so ever.

It's an at your risk type of site... you can find some amazing deals and items there but if you have a problem don't expect any help. I limit my purchases to less then $100 for regular dealers and less then $20 when dealing with a new supplier.
More then once received defective goods and after going through a long and painful dispute process where I was required to provide video and photographic evidence AND shipping the defective item back Ali Express decided in favour of the seller.

I ordered size 4 shoes for my mom for Christmas and they took 20 days to get here (this was within the time stated). When I received them I received an e-mail asking me to confirm delivery and rate the product, which I did. I had to ship them to my mom and when she tried them on they were way too big. I spent hours on the AliExpress site trying to adjust my rating and contact the seller because the order had been set to "completed" when I did the delivery confirmation. I did get in e-mail contact with her one day and the next day all the feedback was gone and I spent another 1 1/2 hours trying to find out how to contact somebody about returning the shoes. Their help pages are no help whatsoever and most of the buttons they tell you to use don't exist after the order is "complete" NO LUCK! I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE EVER AGAIN!

I lost $50 from a seller. Ordered 2 pair of headphones that seemed like a good deal. 6 weeks later, I received defective counterfeit goods that were not worth the postage paid to send them. STAY AWAY FROM ALIEXPRESS.COM
Sadly, my printhead part never arrived due to many mistakes on the part of the USPS. After realizing this I contacted Ali and asked if they could return or refund my money - they gave me the run around for months, waiting for the part to be returned. Since I had not received the part I had given them a less than satisfactory review on their site, and now, even though the part was returned and is in their possession again, they refuse to refund my money as I gave them a bad review. I told them I would happily rewrite it, but they time limit has passed for making changes to the review. So, I'm out some cash. Not a good way of doing business, even though the initial fault was of the USPS (who I had some words with as well, mind you)! Very disappointing.
I got refunded from AliExpress after getting scammed on a Lenovo P780 phone which I never received. I had opened a dispute and later the supplier was found to have "unsafe trading activities". My money was refunded within 10 days after AliExpress suspended this supplier. I like AliExpress and my experience with them so far has been great, also my friends who buy items from this website never had any issues.
My advice: use your common sense when buying online otherwise you might get scammed on Aliexpress just as like on eBay, Amazon and ANY OTHER online marketplace. Cheers.
Avoid this site at all cost. At my first and only shopping there I lost $60. The seller suggested that I issue a partial refund request for $15 because of delayed delivery. When I did as suggested they released the rest of the money to this "SELLER" even though I had not received any goods.
I ordered my purchase, and they asked me to wait 40 days for delivery. Now it's more than 60 days. I tried their tracking number - no use. They asked me to check with my local post office. After this message, they deleted my order numbet, tracking number, all messages including their e-mail confirmation. Moreover, this item is no longer on list of items. I cannot get their custom support - it's impossible because I don' have order number anymore. So my only witness is my bank statement.
I never had any troubles with them or any seller for that matter and I'm at my 12th order over a year timeframe I suspect others that posted about this site have the "i want it now" syndrome because delivery is slow for a lot of sellers with aliexpress but my purchased where always there as described never had to ask a refund. Please ppl read the description and delivery time and you'll have no greater expectation than you should

#1 Bought some items at a low price. Got 50% delivered, 1 item broken (out of 6). The other items weren't shipped at all (and no charge).
#2 While awaiting delivery of #1: ordered some more things (HD 2TB and other stuff). The HD was delivered broken and the other items (2 out of 3) was never delivered, but charged for. - Awaiting refund, but the web site says "Finished" and no further correspondence has occurred from China.
#3, Last chance. Ordered two MicroSD's. Site claims they have been shipped two months ago. Charges have been applied. The Shipping/tracking # don't exist on the Chinese postal site. These items haven't arrived yet, even that the site claims that they have been shipped (even with tracking # - that seems to be fake).

It is very unreliably (!) and doesn't adhere to expected reliability of service.

People stay away of AliExpress, they have contacts with lots of fake sellers, take your money and never receive what you order, if by any chance they send you something, will be lower quality, different look and even defective.
