We have ordered books and DVD's from Alibris. The quality of the book or DVD has been just as described. We usually go to Alibris before we purchase from the big "Box Stores." We enjoy the savings and the direct delivery to our home.

Ordered, all went well as I expect with the Alibris interface. Receive confirmation, and a confirmation of shipping. However, the item was not actually shipped. When I followed up because there was no movement on the shipping, this was the response:

"We're a small store and we only ship once a week. We have to mark a book shipped within two days of its order or it will automatically
Cancel, so we mark it such and it waits 'til the following Wednesday to actually ship, thus the delay."

Look, I understand the small biz thing--but the saying it was shipped when it wasn't is NOT acceptable customer service. It is lacking in truth and transparency. Had I known the delays, I could have made choices, instead, this seller isn't actually set up for online sales. They shouldn't be part of your network.

My sister and I have been looking for this specific book for a while. I remember my grandmother and my mother reading it to us. When I learn how to read, I read it to myself. We were looking for it for our own children, but could not find it in a decent price range. I finally found it on your website. The book was gently used and in great condition. There was a written note to the previous owner. I was able to write my note to our children underneath it. It made the book more special. We received it quickly after ordering it. We've read it to our children every night. I'm so glad you had this book and affordable price.
