I ordered several other items, along with a book I needed for book club, so that the order would qualify for free shipping. The order for my book was cancelled, and not in order to get a different copy, I have to pay shipping. That bothers me, but not enough to not order the book I need.

This was a great experience, I was looking for a rare book and managed to find it there. Purchase was straighforward, but delivery time took a while as I am based in the UK.

Super easy to use and to find the book I was looking for. The book quality was good, a little dented on the corners, but nothing crazy. I still think it was little overpriced for a used book, but I'll buy used over new any day.

Shopping was pretty good. However, the shipping fees to each company is kind of ridiculous. Especially when the shipping costs more than the book! Good search site, now bring it all together. Find a way that all of these companies can work with you to bring down the costs of shipping.

I found two copies of a book at different sellers that I was interested in. I emails one of the sellers with a very low (3-star) rating to confirm the description and this seller got back to me very quickly.

I ordered a book that was very clearly labeled as a paperback. I checked multiple times. Received a hardcover book. Reached out to the seller to let them know I received the wrong item. Said I was slightly disappointed but was gonna keep the book and wasn't gonna complain much or anything. They responded saying they "thought it would be an upgrade" but that they "don't know why you thought you were ordering a paperback as we had none to sell". I have photo evidence of the packing slip clearly labeled paperback. That comment just rubbed me the wrong way but I did still keep the book.

I was looking for a pair of books. I found the first being sold at a decent price. I checked each seller to see if they had the accompanying book. Finding both from the same seller at a good price put my mind at ease. Communication of shipping and order processing was easy and quick.

Recently had my credit card hacked by third party sellers on Amazon. Cancelled the account and now have new credit card. I wanted to find and purchase media from another, smaller company. Pleased so far. I will use Alone is again.

Things arrived kinda sporadically. I was hoping to have things before Christmas, and had given enough lead time. So that was a bit unfortunate, but understandable.

There is also an issue with certain books. I think it's important to have the dimensions of the books. When you're ordering books with multiple editions, it's hard to make sure you get the ones with the right sizes. Two I ordered were apparently different, so their sizes are mismatched.

Overall pretty great, I love used books. But a few things would have made it perfect.

If you want to own a book, or are looking for one not available in your library, you might find one for just a couple of bucks, and pay reasonable shipping. I live in the sticks, so shipping is cheaper than half a day/mileage/meal in the nearest "city."

I found what I need it and has a good price. I placed my order, got all the information to track my order and I got what I ordered quickly. I had not problem ordering or receiving my order. The book that I order was exactly what the description said. I am very pleased with my experience ordering with Alibris.

I was looking for two specific books to replace some of the old books on my son's "book tree" from when he was a little boy. They are very specific because they have to be a certain shape to fit the tree. I was so happy to find both of them in excellent condition and now I can hang the book tree for my grandchildren!

Was unsure about using this company before as I had no experience with them but order was faster than expected from so far away! Price was excellent and shipping was reasonable. Product was delivered in perfect shape too!

It's a reliable way to find secondhand books I wouldn't otherwise find where I live. Aside from the occasional shipping problem, my shopping experiences have been consistently good, and very kind on my wallet while letting me built my personal library.
