This was the first time I ordered from Alibaba. It was easy to place my order and track its shipment to my door. I had a question for the seller, more of a clarification as it was my first time ordering, and the seller was quick to respond.
First time ordering from Norway and was a bit cautious at first, but the product bought directly from the factory in China is the same product that is sold for twice the price here. A bit messy with so many different suppliers of the same product, but managed to navigate.
Terrible service. No one responds to fake tracking numbers. Sellers provide fake shipping numbers. The Alibaba team pays no attention whatsoever. Customer complaints are ignored. Refunds are delayed for ages. Familiarity between fraudulent sellers and the Alibaba team is rampant. Fake tracking numbers are accepted by the system, and orders are closed. After that, it's impossible to receive the promised compensation. This is because it's impossible after your purchases have supposedly been delivered to someone else using fake tracking numbers. I would like to point out that this fraudulent scheme involving deliberately fake tracking numbers has been thriving for many years on both AliExpress and Alibaba. Alibaba turns a blind eye to this, and the problem is not addressed at all. Apparently, the Alibaba team is happy with this. After all, they have to spend months proving it, wasting their time on all these disputes over fake tracking numbers. The Alibaba team doesn't even read or take into account what you write to them. The Alibaba team covers for the scammers and takes no action against them. Their accounts are still active on the site. The deception and fraud of buyers continue. A false clause that guarantees nothing after the seller provided a fake On-Time Dispatch Guarantee tracking number. You've been deceived, and like a fool, you'll use this number to track someone else's goods being delivered to another buyer. In my case, the goods were delivered to California, USA, while I live in New York, USA. The seller can then send you a second tracking number that no one ever intended to send the goods to. This is all done deliberately to deceive the buyer and the Alibaba team. But by this point, your order has already been closed by Alibaba, since the goods were delivered to you using the fake tracking number of another buyer, and you should have no complaints. You've suffered moral and colossal damage. Contacting the Alibaba team is useless; they'll just bluff the matter with promises of a refund. In reality, the Alibaba team doesn't even understand the nature of your problem or the fraudulent scheme. Alibaba's team benefits from delaying refunds and feigning frantic assistance. All this time, your money will be crediting Alibaba's team, while you suffer colossal losses. In my case, I suffered losses greater than the entire cost of the goods. Dispatched by Nov 2 or receive a 10% delay compensation (View details) is what the order states. You won't receive anything because the goods, using the fake tracking number, have already been delivered to you without any delays. Meanwhile, no one even sent you the goods or intended to send them. Another fake tracking number can be given to you after you simply purchase and pay for a shipping label. In this case, no shipment is made using this number. And even if it is, it will be delayed by two or three weeks. There's no guarantee that you've received what you paid for. Your order is already closed based on the fake tracking number, and you are not entitled to the compensation claimed by Alibaba. This is exactly what I am seeing with my orders right now.

Alibaba does NOT stand behind the buyer AT ALL! If you feel that Alibaba's "Guarantee" is anything but words, you'd be wrong. They do not guarantee anything. My shipment arrived with BROKEN products, clearly not working. The vendor would not provide a replacement of the broken items, even after sending videos, pulling the item apart and attempting repairs they requested me to try, no joy. So after hours of frustration I aksed Alibaba to intervene. HUGE waste of time. The only "Guarantee" anyone has on Alibaba is to use PAyPal as your form of payment! Thay actually help...

However, please note that my complaint is not a standard refund request; it concerns a confirmed patent infringement and seller misrepresentation, which fall under Alibaba's Intellectual Property Protection and Buyer Integrity Policies, not only Trade Assurance timelines.
The seller was explicitly asked before shipment whether the product infringed any active patents and confirmed it was safe. After delivery, it became clear the product violates a registered patent. The seller then delayed communication intentionally until the dispute period expired.
This is a clear violation of Alibaba's IP and Misrepresentation policies, and therefore should be reviewed outside the normal 30/60-day claim window, as allowed under Alibaba's rules for fraud, IP infringement, and dishonest conduct.
I kindly request that this case be re-escalated to the Alibaba Compliance or IP Protection team for review under those grounds.
I have already provided:
Chat screenshots showing pre-shipment assurances from the seller
Photos of the infringing products
Patent reference confirming protected design
Please confirm that this case will be forwarded to the IP Compliance department for further action.

Answer: Alibaba does not offer any protection from either scams or mistakes. Dispute resolution to them is you lose your money or pay more money and then lose it. Only pay with CC and then give alibaba 1 chance to fix then dispute with CC company and get money back. IMPORTANT in contract state that you get a full refund of any monies if their are any problems.
Answer: I would echo Hugh K's comments. Never ever rely on Alibaba whether the supplier is trusted or gold whatever. Insist on paying via PayPal. Ask seller to send you PayPal invoice and before making payment, call and confirm with PayPal if you are protected by PayPal in case seller doesn't deliver as promised. Answer: This is what they tell you but in fact it doesn't happen. Alibaba only look after their traders. The traders buy gold supplier stars like we buy lollipops. Gold star supplier means nothing. Ghangzou Mega Beauty firstly showed 3 stars, the following week 4 stars, following week 5 stars and the next week 6 stars. I complained to Alibaba who don't care as long as they get the money. Now DHGate do not release the payment until you receive your goods. Buy from DHGate to ensure you are not scammed.
