The way ALEKS teaches you to do things is completely wrong. There's no way you can possibly remember how to do anything. They also make it impossible to move forward at all with their constant knowledge checks. The knowledge checks are far too difficult to be just knowledge checks. I'm a college student and this is a trial program here (which should never come back). My grade in the class is a 72 and is slipping. I have to spend hours doing homework on ALEKS when I should be focused on classes that actually pertain to my major. ALEKS is worthless and should be shut down.
Any time i do a test involving a graph it marks it wrong but my graph matches the correct graph perfectly
It does its math wrong, it does not give good examples, pushes way to hard, why take away points if you get it wrong once, I get it if the website does it if you get it wrong twice. Sorry if not valid but I am student, my whole class hates it.
They are even lucky to get a one star review. It would be nice to do as many problems as possible before going back to what you couldn't get right. But nope this b&^*h a$$ program will have you do them till you get it right before unlocking the next problems. Wtf is that s*! T?
I'd rather kms than ever use this site again. They can suck my non existinal $#*!. Aleks, go fck urself
I know that its kind of stupid me saying this, but it pushes, to hard. I purposely have been trying to score high on the knowledge check but it just makes it harder. In my classroom you have to do a certain amount of topics a week, but because I score higher then average, I'm running into stuff above my grade level and are super confusing. Want to kill myself, my parents absolutely hate me if I don't do all the required topics for week, even though it barely counts on my grade. Its almost the end of the week, and what I have to do is virtually impossible for one my age. Thanks a lot, Aleks. I want to die actually because of this stupid website making my parents hate hate hate me.
I swear this program came from the halls of hell. It needs to go #$@& itself instead of #$@*ing up my life.
Essentially, ALEKS is one of the worst programs created. There are so many internal problems with the program I don't even know where to start. Professors should not use this program because half the time, there are topics where ALEKS doesn't explain how to do the problem, they simply make assumptions, assuming the user already knows the topics. It has very little use to the class except for giving you some more points in the class as a whole. There are much better programs like myMATHLab that give sufficient explanations, different ways to help the user including textbook links, videos, and explanations as well as example problems. ALEKS utilizes none of these. This is probably one of the worst programs created by an even worse company.
I love aleks because I have finished the whole eighth grade pie and everyone else is at an average of 70 percent.
I want to see someone give this more than 1 star. This does NOT deserve more than 1 star. This site makes me want to die in a hole. I would rather do-the-unspeakable with a homeless man. Don't waste money on this piece of garbage. Please don't.
I hate aleks. I would rather slit my throat, jump off a building, and break all my bones when I hit the ground rather than go on aleks ever again. Oh? You got one little part of the question wrong? Well then, you get to go through the torture of doing the entire question all over again. Believe me, if you value your sanity- STAY AWAY
Aleks is a waste of money, the math on here is contradicting and they have no clue how to teach a single subject. Instead of doing it slowly, they will spam random new problems in, what they should have done is three problems with the EXACT SAME rules then three new problems with the EXCAT SAME rules, then merged them later on, but instead they inefficently spam random problems inside the questions and make things infuratingly complex by wording everything like utter garbage, I understand they don't want us to copy and look it up online, but there is such a thing as calculators and auto generators that people use anyway. I already struggle at math, and those who don't struggle at math find Aleks complete and utter trash. Aleks has no consideration for time, no ease of use, no true explaniations, and therefore fails at every single aspect required from learning sites. I have been using Aleks for a full semester now and I am still finding bugs, glitches, problems that make no sense, and formulas that just don't work. The most wasted money I have ever seen, and considering I model with plastic minatures that cost 33 dollars pure 1 figurine that is saying something!
Nothing like a panic attack induced by ALEKs taking that point away and ruining your progress due to a tiny mistake!
The aleks math program is very difficult. My teacher requires me to do 15 per week, as the trimester goes on the Aleks get more and more stressful rendering me enable to do the topics because I do not understand them. The feature of having to do the topic over again constantly when you mess up on a problem is frustrating and gives me anxiety.
This website is like giving a child a cake on their birthday, then asking them to solve a math problem completely out of their grade level, and if they get it wrong, the cake will be smashed on the floor, stomped on, and burned.
We started using this site in 5th grade. At first, it was fine. We all got the initial knowledge check, and I was like: "Oh, this is pretty neat." Since I'm not the greatest student in the world, I got some wrong. After the knowledge check, I got to the review topics on the questions I got wrong. I got past them with not much of a problem. Then, we never used it again.
Now, I'm in 7th grade. This is where everything starts.
We were told to get on ALEKS. I was like: "Wow, we haven't used this in a while." So I got on, and since I left off at 5th grade, the topics were pretty easy. Then.
THEN.
That's where the unnecessary knowledge checks come in.
When it came up, I was like: "Ok, another one. No big deal."
Then, I got more review topics. So, get-out-of-doing-actual-work-free card, right?
Wrong.
Not only do the knowledge checks count for nothing, the reviews also count for nothing.
Hm? What's that? You're on the last question of the topic? That's great! Let me give you a question that's 50% harder than the other two you just did! Oh? You got it wrong? Wow, you're an IDIOT! Let me just undo your progress! Now you have to do two more problems, loser!
Trust me, this program is not good for your mental health in any way, shape, or form. Before Aleks, I had never thought once about killing myself. Now, I've thought about doing it at LEAST 12 times since the beginning of the school year, and almost did it once (ALMOST killed myself, I didn't actually TRY to kill myself.)
School systems, don't waste your money on this garbage piece of $#*!. Focus the money on more important things.
The person under me is correct there are T-SERIES spies in here and we will find him and make him send a message to T-SERIES, we will make him tell them that we will rise up we will start a pewdiepie 9 year old army and wipe out T-SERIES once and for ALL, and when we do we will let pewdiepie do the honers and let him kill the final T-SERIES scum with his epic skills from gorn.
To my fellow students. We must rise together and destroy aleks. No more shall we be controlled by hell there is no point in writing this review if we are all going to die anyways so we must eliminate the threat we shall rise together
Answer: Because the ALEKS program is literal hell and we people are just showing our hatred for it
Answer: Most likely.
Answer: Yes deal with it
Answer: Because people want to commit suicide in an original way, and ALEKS is the best way.
Answer: I don't think so but believe me a class action suit would be an improvement
Answer: I paid over $150 for this sumbi**h, I expect it to work
Answer: No i do not think the website owner has issued one but I think the feelings for aleks would be "down the toilet"
Answer: I realize this reply is very late but in case for anyone who needs it: -Let's say you're learning how to use long division. They have 3 questions in it. You master the first one, then go on to the next one. You get the second one wrong, guess what? They punish you and take back your first answer so now you have to answer it again. -How fun! And don't forget the useless knowledge checks!
