Terrible, laggy and frustrating. Does not educate but rather teaches kids to learn a pattern and then repeat. Not to mention software is unsophisticated, ugly and extremely unresponsive. A no-go for anyone who truly cares about their experience.
" ALEKS is a ground-breaking technology". Ya right. It should say something more like this: Aleks is a online child abuser that makes kids mad. It is my worst enemy. I want to give it a 0 star rating. It is so bad! The have to shut it down. NOW!
My teacher is obsessed with making us do topics. I thought the program was fun until she was really controllable about it. I dont enjoy that the program doest target exactly what a student is doing in class, it just throws random topics at you and expects you to understand it.
So if I get a bunch of questions right, and then just one wrong, I end up losing progress and it takes twice as long to finish. Which isn't fair, sometimes it is just a typo or something. But, if I just click the idk button, I don't lose any progress. Basically, if you try and get it wrong, you get penalized. But, if you don't try, your good. That doesn't follow any logic of teaching at all. Also, they suck.
Aleks makes homework take longer! No scanning ahead to the next probelm or whipping through homework with Aleks - No way - Aleks decides when the next question will load, (if ever!) And whether or not the question you just completed will even register with the super slow servers!
Procrastination and time wasting should be at the student's discretion, not in the hands of some dumb-$#*! slow computer program that lags and logs out and hangs,...
This program has made homeschooling a whole new level of stressful I have to complete my pie by the end of the year (in 2 weeks) how am I supposed to do that please stop your program for the next two weeks because that would be very helpful.
Okay so i have to do this for school. I have to do geometry. The problem is it wont let me! Its making me do hours and hours of review for stuff i did a long time ago and its so frustrating! The knowledge checks dont do anything either. Ive been doing this my entire spring break and im not done. Please let me say which grade im in and then it recommends that subject so i can finish this stupid geometry!
Basically a program used by loser "professors" who don't even know how to do math themselves and are too lazy to teach it. I genuinely don't even know what my $#*!ing professor looks like because it's LITERALLY aleks. I hate this $#*!.

First of all the problems are so hard and don't give a good explanation which makes you mad and when you think its right its not and we are forced to do it and it should me token in down if i could rate a minus 100 review i would not buy it if i were you its stupid that this should even cost money i think you should delete it now
This app has a lot of potential, but it limits the learning of a student. My peers and I have trouble with some of the format and the explanation is just not helpful. Explain the question like you would explain to a 7-year-old. The questions are above our levels of knowledge. Can you fix some of this, please?

You're unhelpful and bovine obsession of a "math program" is causing several students suicidal deaths and brains full of dust. Minecraft gives more knowledge to kids than ALEKS! I curse you with all curses and dub you the worst and moronically lamest idiotic and badly created child abuse intended cyber terrorist that makes me want to throw up badly worded math problems that I've ever had to go through! Aleks makes me want to commit toaster bath 900 times daily. I crave death. I feel like Kermit the frog when that little crackhead kid said Cookie Monster. I would rather be the deer hanging in my garage being gutted as I speak than do one more knowledge check. Aleks can suck deez nuts.
I was forced to use this program in my college for chemistry and oh my God, I can't think of a worse program a college forces you to work with. I could ramble on and on about this program, but it will belittle you for the littlest things. Like, you could get an answer correct, but it will mark you as incorrect just because you wrote 3 instead of 3.00. Terrible.
The program is only good at making students want to turn into demons. It is a nightmare to understand explanations + examples and the problems in Algebra 1 is already hard enough for an 8th grader, but ALEKS has to increase that by over 9000x. This is one of those times I prefer physical paper. If I ever find the creators, I will not hesitate to force them to fix their program. (+ It's bugs show no end.)
Prior to registering with this site, I regarded my intelligence as nothing extraordinary but felt I was qualified to at least attend classes. I have since unenrolled from every course I was taking. Thank you, Aleks. I am going to pursue my passion of reality TV. Aleks has shown me it's my only hope of survival.
This is the worst math online program, I have ever wasted monies on. This at a JC level is unbelievable and reeks of rip-off, the term used loosely.Do not waste one dime on this product, you need a real person with a pulse to assist you or you will fail. If you are having trouble understanding the repetitive explanation, good luck to you, as you will only get more and more frustrated. Horrible and wasteful to have at a college level. 2 thumbs down. My honest review has to be the fact that, when you work so hard on the first question out of 5 (1/5) you go on to the next question, but if you made a little mistake or error, it tends to delete all the progress that you did for the first question. So basically i wasted my time and effort working on a question, only for it to be deleted after i got the second one wrong, its the most stupidest thing that i have ever seen, honestly please make it so that way if you get the second question wrong, that it wont delete your progress on the previous question, thanks.
This program seems to be geared towards failure. It is not helpful in teaching nor learn mathematics. Aleks is a complete waste of time and is not supplemental to in-class instruction. I pay to go to college to and be instructed by human beings, not artificial intelligence.
