I've been getting 100s in math, and haven't been the least bit stressed, like, at all. Now, we have to do 25 Aleks lessons per week. I have been working from the time i get home to the time I go to sleep, no distractions, and it´s still a close call. My parents are worried about the amount of work I have at home an are insisting its because I get distracted. I dont. Just. Help, please. No, I would not recommend the hell that is Aleks to my worst enemy.

ALEKS is such a great app. The graphing a shape with a protracter part of it is just magnificent when you try for like 30 minutes trying to figure out how to use it and then it kicks you out of it telling you to do another topic then next week you forget all your progress and you want to die in a hole and kill yourself and this repeats for weeks until you figure out how to do it. And don't even get me started with the ones that require 5 answers for a single topic, they're just WONDERFUL! Oh my god, the knowledge checks are just great. I mean like, you do 20 questions then your teacher counts the check as 5 topics and it takes you at least an hour to do. I wish my teacher would give me 100 topics per week instead of just 10. This app is just the love of my life.

Nothing on the website has been consistant with any lectures. It is inconsistent with what it considers to be a significant digit and it isn't consistent with how many digits should be included. It will mark an answer as wong and then show the exact same answer as being the correct one. If you get an answer wrong it undoes your progress so you can be stuck in a loop for hours. One week you'll have 2 topics and the next you will have 24. If you struggle it doesn't have the resources to help improve and it doesn't allow you to skip to a topic you could actually do. The periodic table is pretty much completely useless as it doesn't list the categories that it asks questions about and it only shows the element names if you click on them so unless you know every chemical symbol the table is useless. And they charge almost $100 for this. Worst online program I have ever used.

This school year I was excited because I was going in to 7th. But when Aleks was introduced I thought it was fine until well… it started getting hard I cannot go through one of the problems without having a mental breakdown and destroying my computer it drives me insane I'm stressed eating because of it and I am beating my computer so much. It has already redeveloped my anger issues again. Thank GOD that this school year is almost over. For children safety do not download this unless you want them to wind up hurting themselves or destroying expensive computers this app needs to be deleted ASAP and teachers if you see kids in your math class with anger issues it's probably because of Alex if you downloaded it. It is a burden for your children.

Normal review; very boring and repetitive makes learning a chore and a bore quizzes suck cant see wrong answers until the end and then I have to restart the@%#$%^ quiz if I got one wrong!?

Professional review; The learning experience called Aleks is mundane and monotonous, with repetitive content that has made Aleks a chore. Additionally, the quizzes have not been engaging, as it is impossible to view incorrect answers until the end of the assessment. This has led to frustration, as it requires you to restart the quiz if a mistake is made.

Now, at first Aleks wasn't bad. But when your forced to do over 20 topics a week, and you have tons of homework, it sucks. I have straight a's in every class but technology. Technology is supposed to be coding, but it's freaking aleks! Plus, some of my teachers agree that aleks is unnecessary but my principle thinks it is actually important.

I swear this program was actually invented by Satan. It has the least user friendly site on the F$%*& planet. It teaches you nothing. While using ALEKS I had to use khan academy videos to actually teach me what I am doing. AND ITS NOT EVEN FREE. Literally khan academy but paid and way worse. Ok but for real don't waste your money. It is incredibly laggy. The explanations are about as vague as vague can get. It is either 1st grade level problems or college calculus i swear this program makes me want to put a bullet through my skull and end it all.

A lot of people have left negative reviews, but I would ask teachers to give ALEKS a chance. It can be boring for students, but I think that is just because of the amount of material. ALEKS can reinforce things taught in class, and I personally like how each math topic is taught, then tested with two or three questions so the student can move on easily. It's not for everyone, but it can be a useful teaching tool.
My school assigns a certain number of topics per week or month, and this can be very stressful. It's best to use ALEKS if you want to give students an extra review, and not to teach new topics. ALEKS is a commitment for a classroom but overall beneficial

On paper, ALEKS sounds like a great program: quick, easy feedback with plenty of examples to compare your work with. The "quick retake" option is great, but that's all I can really say in terms of positives.

But boiling it down, the site just doesn't function. I type in a question, knowing it's right; when I look at the "report" for the assignment, it says I typed in a completely different answer. Having a working feature is like the flip of a coin: sometimes it runs smoothly, other times it is completely non-functioning.

ALEKS has the potential to be great, but the entire moral of "one mistake and you're done" is broken and the system itself is glitchy at best and unusable at worst.

Honestly aleks sucks balls. If you want to fall behind in your math and loose brain cells this is the site for you! This is a horrible horrible horrible site. Since the three years I've been on this program, I have learned close to nothing. On the DSA'S it's just pure guessing. This is the most depressing program I have ever been on. It literally makes you want to die in every single way possible.The explanations don't explain squat and just overall it sucks. If you have any common decency don't implement aleks in your school.

Nobody likes ALEKS, lets be real. The explanations make no sense and all it does is be a time consuming, raging math game. And if you have strict parents, they would probably force you to get to a 100% and be top of your class. But all you end up doing is beating yourself up over putting 2.23 instead of 2. ALEKS is a great way to ruin your mental state and overall, would NEVER reccomend.

Imagine getting a whole lot of homework a day, then having 1+ hour(s) of ALEKS to do. It is just frustrating. When you get a question wrong it punishes you with more questions. It lowers my self-esteem so much, I have always had self-esteem issues, and this website just makes them worse. I have never felt more stupid than after doing an hour of this website. So If you are a kid who has to use this website, I'm sorry. If you are a teacher thinking about making your students use this... DON'T. JUST DON'T.

As a student, I can account for those who say that this website is bad. I'm in 8th grade, and I have had to use this site for the past 2 years. Thankfully I don't have to anymore. Here is my experience; I would do about 15 minutes every other day to get one lesson done a week. We had to do 5 lessons a week, and I was struggling because of the amount of time it consumed, and how it made me very unhealthy mentally. A girl at my school even committed suicide from ALEKS. This programme is designed for review/homeschool learning, not In-School learning and requirements. I beg of you, if you are a school admin reading, to get rid of this programme, or consider other programmes instead. If you are a homeschool worker, just try to use this in moderation, or as a review. If you are a fellow student, just hold on. One day, you won't have to use this awful programme, and you will be able to enjoy your life more. You ARE worth it,

Honestly I wish I could give this a zero-star rating. I am constantly, time and time again, having trouble with this website. If it's a multiple choice question, it says "two or more of your answers are wrong," and it does not tell me which answers are wrong, so it's always a guess. THEN, it teaches me one equation that focuses on positive numbers then moves on to a question that focuses on negative numbers and not even a possibility for another question. And when I even mess up ONE tiny thing, I lose my question streak and sometimes (most times) have to start right over. This is horrible and I hope to never use it again in my coming future. Might I add that I made a new account JUST for this godforsaken website.

Whoever made this abomination is the worst human being ever and I hope to god this $#*!ing company goes under. Explanations are horrible and the questions are way too strict. It's almost like they want us to $#*!ing fail. You are punished for every typo and little detail. I spend hours every day doing this and I miss doing regular assignments with pencil and paper and having a teacher guiding us instead of a computer. What do we even pay our teachers and professors for anymore. All positive reviews are paid for and fake. This is borderline torture, all for a completion grade. Dear schools- STAY AWAY FOR OUR MENTAL HEALTH
