I've been shopping at Aldi since it came to our town—6-7 years ago. At first it was great, and I went weekly. Now I only go when I have to, which is usually because it's the closest to my house. Here's why I think Aldi is a joke… Bread and fruit last maybe 1-2 days after you bring it home. Why? They freeze everything and that includes fruit and bread. Next time you are at Aldi, feel the fruit and bread and you will see how it's in the process of thawing. By the time you bring it home, Cinderella has almost turned into a pumpkin. Add the unfriendly staff who are worried about their cashier times, and it sucks. They have great tchotchkes, but again they are not good quality. My advice-/ if you need food for the same day, go to Aldi for a cheap deal. If you want to buy a non food item, think first and see if you can find a better deal anywhere else. If your food rots in a few days, bring it back. Save your receipts! This company has made a killing off of me and everyone else selling their old frozen produce and bread! I'm done throwing my money out the door and you all should be too.
As with many low rated reviews on here I experienced being spoken to in an unacceptable manner when asked to lift my bags to check I was not stealing items. I decided instead of just writing a review to try and rectify the situation by bringing it to the attention if the CEO. Unfortunately the response I received was equally as disrespectful, 'this is why we do it, here's a £10 voucher, go away'. Being barked at "Lift your bag, LIFT YOUR BAG" really isnt how I expect to be spoken to by anyone let alone a spotty, bum fluff cultivating male high on the meagre power he has supposedly been given. The highlight of the whole saga was the signs in store claiming staff will not tolerate abuse. HOW HYPOCRITICAL! I went and shopped over the road in Lidl.
On 17 January I prepared a packet of Brown Balsalmic Rice I purchased two days earlier (Jan 15) at Aldi. The packet read "use by 7/17/25. Unlike most times I emptied the packet in a bowl before heating. When I did so I found a big hunk of the rice was molded in green mold. Of course I did not use the rice. But had I heated the rice in the pouch I might have never discovered the problem. Aldi needs to do a recall on all Simply Natiure Brown Basalmic Rice for health reasons.
The guy we dealt with was a complete douche bag. He yanked the cart out of my hand as if I was gonna steal the stupid damn quarter in the slot. Get over yourself.
ALDI 's previous spinach was so good, that was long-cut and it was better than others. But their new spinach is not good.its like too short-cut, I mean like smashed.
I have been a customer of Aldi since they open in PA, In the beginning it was good pricing and good quality of grocery, fruit and others products. This past year until now, the quality of the food becomes horrible disgusting and not expectable? Why? Why I have to pay a lot more and getting ROTTEN FRUIT? I bought an apple bag number of time lately for the past 6 months and every apple good looking from the outside and rotten in the inside? Why is that? Why I have to west money, time and gas to drive there and time to clean up the item, then it is rotten in the inside? They ending in my trash can? This Is not just the apple same issues with green paper, plum, lettuce and other products too? Your store make a good amount of money and they always busy. You should be ashamed of yourself.
You should check the quality of food before you put them on the shelf for consumer to bye them?
More important where are this products coming from? How long they been in the refrigerator?
What kind of chemical been injected to it?
Would you feed you family this products?
I hope you get my point and understand we all human and no one like to be treated that way?
More than once I've gone there and I've gotten food that is stale, rotten or wet for some reason in a sealed bag. I've seen vegetables with bugs and. Multiple shopping carts with baby $#*! in it.
I shop at Aldi 5110 Nicholson lane, Kensington, I started shopping there since it opened, and Gloria always helps me when whenever she sees me, she works as a cashier, and is extremely quick and also on the floor too, she is very hard working, more hard working than the guys at Aldi, always helpful with a smile, she is the best!
TODAY I WAS THERE MY CASHIER WAS SARAH AND SHE WAS VERY NICE TO THE AMERICAN FIRST THAN ME, BUT WHEN SHE SAW I WAS HISPANIC SHE DID NOT EVEN SAY GOOD AFTERNOON, I COME TO ALDI AND SPEND MY MONEY NOTHING IS FREE.
I guess the cashier's have a time limit to cash you out so when ringing you out they throw your food smashing you fruits and vegetables and also your bread. That's not good customer service.
Every time I go into the store there is 15 people in line one cashier. The cashier said the owner reduces his staff on weekends after 3:00 bull$#*! never going to the store again
I showed up for an interview only to find they hire young black people only
They do what they call group the interview to filter through the rejection the people they don't want
I have massive retail experience which includes stocking relabeling, as a shift manager in retail I think I can handle the shipment or two the day
And let everyone know if they do not select you for that location other locations will be in touch with you, that is incorrect
Most Dallas locations with Aldi just send out more emails stating that there are more employment positions
Honestly Aldi is a another large Walmart or large Target type of retail you can buy by bulk or just a few small things
The location I interviewed was the far east side of Dallas
There are only two Latin American interviews for which showed up for an employment position mostly black interviewees then you can bet one of the African-American black were hired for the position
They did say there was only one position available
I would give a zero if I could they sell their products missing parts, and no parts available! Spare parts are meant to be available for years. Not acceptable!
I shop at the Nicholson Lane Aldi store all the time, the cashier Gloria and one of the floor manager Fanny are rudest people I have ever met, all the other workers are very nice, kind and helpful, but I don't know why Aldi hire people like Gloria and Fanny. They are very nasty, mean.
Bought Aldi brand granola bars (cashew and almond) and opened up the box. To my shock, the wrapped granola bar doesn't feel right in my hand. Closer look: The size of each bar has shrunk by about one-third. Each granola bar is slimmer, shorter and smaller. It can now be accurately called a mini-bar. I hate, hate it when a retailer does this to me. It's an insult. No, it's an assault. Raise the dogged price if you must. We all understand inflation! Don't try to trick us by shrinking the product to a smaller and smaller size. We got that figured out. We aren't that stupid. And your usual defense: We put the net weight on the box. BS. Nobody reads the box for a product they've been buying for 10 years! Just do the right thing and quit trying to hide behind your lawyer's BS. We ain't got time for no lawyer. Just give us a decent sized granola bar, bad boys. Raise the price if you need to. You'll still be the cheapest in town. You do the same trick with your other products, too. This one is over-the-edge. Hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it. Shrinkflation is crooked.
Very rude he was very short and not helpful on doing a return, it was like I was bothering him to do the job he's being paid to do... I will not be back
I went to go get a cart for my mom that was in the store and the lady didn't want to let me back in and kicked me out and didn't even let me explain myself or tell her that my mom was in the store.
I've only visited my local store 3-5 times and never has there been more than one cashier on duty. If you're not going to employ enough people at least create a self checkout lane!
If you're ok with a smaller range of products but prefer high quality and rock bottom prices over outrageous grocery bills, then Aldi is the place for you.
Not a bad store, you csn save money there. But basically it is just a large chain store that sells generic products. Okay on some items but disappointing on others. Produce is good.
Aldi has a rating of 1.9 stars from 194 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Aldi most frequently mention customer service, self checkout and good quality. Aldi ranks 189th among Grocery sites.
