Over it

Was getting to the point of being very picky about what I bought from Aldi because of the decline of product quality but now that they have self checkouts with cameras staring at you, IM DONE! The customer service was pretty bad but now you cant get anyone to help you. I tried returning an item. The only cashier at the front called for someone three times but noone ever showed up. After about 10 minutes of waiting he finally decided to give me the refund himself. I have been shopping there for many years and their quality and customer service has really diminished. Its sad to say that you can now get better service at Walmart! NO MORE!

Very disappointed
July 21, 2022

I went to Aldi's today. It being a Wednesday, I thought I'd have a good chance of finding most things I wanted. NOT! No peaches, as usual. They were low on lots of things. Worst of all, NO eggs! What the hell?! Did someone forget to order them? First time ever that they were out. And, the prices have gone up a lot. I'm going to shop elsewhere. Sorry. If you don't try harder, Aldi's, you're going to lose customers.

I like Aldi prices and selection. The cart rental model keeps them at the front of the store. The employees are constantly in motion. Checkout lines are long as many shoppers have full carts. Because of this it's not a good choice for running in and out quickly for for a small purchase. Holiday advent calendars are sent to stores in low numbers and are likely purchased by the employees. I've haven't been able to get one, ever.

Aldi is ok as long as you don't mind long lines at the cashier and don't buy produce from them. There pre-packaged food is ok. Not as tasty as the name brands, but considerably cheaper. Their produce always seems to be rotting in the bin. I gave up trying to buy any fresh fruits or vegetables at Aldi as they are spoiled before you get home from store. They usually have only 1 cashier working regardless of how busy they are, so plan on waiting in line to check out.

I was given the impression I was hired…. They were supposed to send me something in my email for a background check …I contacted multiple times and they ignored me and just didn't even explain why they did that …

I really hate that I can rarely find help on the floor. If I do they are less that interested in helping and do not know their inventory. Cashiers are untrained. None know how to do a proper return or exchange. It's very frustrating because I'm there almost weekly.

You are selling bio- engineered foods, these are causing all kinds of health problems. European countries have out laws some of you foods because of the boi engineering and threat to human health!
Don't reply you can t say you don't. Mayo, Ramin noodles, chicken soups, Ritz crackers to mention a few. Folks please check the labels!

I've been looking for a friend for a microwave egg boiler for some time. I was delighted when I found them recently on Aldi's shelves for $3. I bought two egg boilers as gifts and one little egg boiler spatula to go with it.

The first person didn't want the gift, which I'm happy for now. Because when I tried to use it at 3 minutes the egg yolk was nowhere close to done. I have a 1000 W microwave, the max it says you can use on the instructions. So I upped it to the 5-minute level - it was still not done. Holding my breath and hoping not to hear the sizzle sizzle from aluminum foil or metal inside a microwave, I did it for 7 minutes. Not only was the egg not done, but that was the last time my microwave would work, two or three days ago. We have unplugged it, plugged it back in reset all the settings, and still the heater will not work. The warranty on the heater says they will have someone come out for $200 plus tax and maybe fix it.

Or, as we have opted, we will have to replace the entire microwave for about $346. Very dissatisfied customer. Obviously, both egg boilers and the spatula are going back, but $10 will not touch $346. Thanks a lot!

Above and Beyond

I would like to say how helpful everyone is every time I visit Aldi. Today I was the Rochester, MN North location. I could not find an item on the floor and asked someone for assistance. She did not remember seeing them in the store but quickly offered to check in back. Unable to locate them she yet again, quickly offered to look it up in the computer system and it said 9 of the item I wanted was available. Megan was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for when she very easily could've said (what we usually hear from customer service sales people), "what is on the shelf is what we have". I am SO thankful she took the time for me. Huge kudos for GREAT customer service. Thank you again, Megan

Don't shop online

I really feel like I have been robbed... Delivery not sent and absolutely no power given to customer service agents or managers to resolve the situation. Yes it will appear... but we could be talking weeks or months. Such a shame to see a company which, this time last year, actually had excellent customer service. They have lost my custom for good, not because of a mistake, they happen, but because of their couldn't care less attitude and refusal to even try and fix the problem

Rude CSR
August 17, 2022

Aldi in Tampa, Fl has some rude female employees. If you want to keep your basket with you at checkout and bring it up to the cashier they usually grab it and slam it against the wall while me or my elderly mom is holding it and hurting are arms.
I know they already have a basket there, but I have cases of water bottles that I don't feel like moving to another basket cause my arm.
I guess no have ever complained because they keep doing it

Hot dog buns

The Aldi hot dog buns are terrible. They have no strength and disintegrate as you use them. Last night I used a knife and fork to eat my sausage, in the bun, because it could not be held in my hand. I'll never buy them again. I should have known better because much of their bakery items are inferior.

Love 90% of everything

We save a ton shopping at Aldi. We have found things that we can't get elsewhere and we love the variety of cheeses and meats. We spend about 350 a month there. OK my one complaint. We have bought Aldi brand corned beef hash for years. It's great Until now. ITS CHANGED AND NASTY. I thought it was just 1 can. But no we've tried 3 at different times, it's gross now. Go back to other way please.

Fantastic prices on all their products. They have some name brands but if you can get by not all name brand and compare labels you will be happy you did. You will save a lot of money and be able to buy more. The organic sections is great and they are reasonably priced. They have everything from breakfast to dessert as well as snacks.
The also sell different things like shelves, toys, storage containers.

Poor Quality

Bought a 10 lb bag of potatoes got home open the bag and 1/3 of them had bad spots on them with in a day they started to rot, this came out of a new crate. Also their zip lock bags half the time don't zip well once you open them good luck trying to re zip it. Their clear wrap for food the container finally has a decent cutter on it but not the box falls apart left with a roll of plastic and no box. The quality has been getting worse every year and pricing is creeping up also to the point I'd rather pay a little more to get a better product.

I would like to give praise to the tall stocking woman who was super friendly, complete with a warm smile, in helping me find the price of an item by stopping what she was doing and ran to the self-checkout line to get it. She made my day, and though she did not have a name tag and got busy again with her work, I wanted to be sure she was recognized for her wonderful customer service.

Previously I found this store closed it's bathroom to their customers before the store closed with no option to use them. Today I find the bathrooms cannot be used unless a key is collected from an associate.
I will no longer be patronizing this branch of Aldi that does not offer self check out and restricts usage of the bathrooms. Had my fill of needing a pass or key to use a restroom when in Jr high school

I like shopping at Aldi's and would shop there more frequently if they had more continuity of carrying products. When I find a product that I just love like Kitchen Sink cookies from the bake shop or the Hawaiian pizza from the frozen food dept. they never have anymore when I go back to get more. Very disappointing to me. I am sure these items were good sellers so they should make more of an effort to stock them. Would keep me out of other grocery stores and back at Aldi's more often.

Poor value and poor quality pizza
November 18, 2021

Never usually shop at Aldi but was in there today and purchased a British made specially selected wood fired pizza. How disappointing. Quite apart from the fact that the pizza was only half the size of the box, it tasted very rubbery and the topping was very sparse. I generally make my own pizzas from scratch but I was in a rush today and looking for a quality replacement. Thete is no way that I would say this product is worth the £3.49 paid for it. I will not be visiting again

Aldi is supposed to have
Fresh Black Angus USDA Choice Sirloin Tip Roast
$5.99 Per Lb.

The store I went to said they didn't carry the Black Angus brand so I asked them which store does. The manager told me to call their main office. I called the main office and was told that none of their stores had it and they didn't know when they would get it. It's not like they ran out because today is 10/18/2023 which is the first day of the sale. This is false advertising by Aldi, plain and simple.
