I recently filled out a application for Aldi. I was invited too the hiring event there were 800 applicants only 20 accepted for the event with 15 positions/ roll's being filled. I made it through the first interview did the lifting test great and left my third interview confident I would be receiving an offer. I have 15 year's of Warehouse Experience, Forklift Experience, Selecting Experience, still didn't get the job there is no way. The only few that were hired were Hispanic and I will be writing a bad review because there isn't no way I didn't get a position the odd's don't add up with what I was up against
I went to the Cherry Hill Aldi 07/30/2023 and was very disappointment in quality of fruit and vegetables. Flies were everywhere, produce was rotting. Everything in refrigerated selection was not cold and got warm very quickly in the store while I was shopping. The worst experience was the bagging situation. I was happy to bag my own groceries but the cashier legitimately was throwing my groceries after she scanned them. I'm sorry but it was completely unprofessional and disappointing. Fortunately nothing was punctured or damaged. I've never received customer service like that and will not be returning to this location ever again.
First time there the staff was rude and didn't have a clue as to where, or even if they carried certain items! First off the cashier skipped me to wait on someone else. Yeah, when I get to the register, she sitting on her $#*! scanning my stuff and informs me I have to go to the 'bagging station' after purchasing a bags to bag my own stuff!? Man they got me FU! I will never shop here again!
I wrote to the store about the use of Styrofoam to package some of their frozen products, asking for response, as an indication that they might consider alternatives in the future. I never heard back from them. You can draw your own conclusions about how much the company cares for our collective future.
They need to get one row of small carts due to the fact that a lot of elderly people shop there. Their new carts are ridiculous so large they barely fit in the door and you can barely get around them in the cashiers aisles. I hate shopping there for that reason. I will bring in one. Bag in, when it is full I am done. Please get some carts like Wegmans has it would make shopping a lot more pleasant aside from that I love ALDIs.
I will never shop at the place again and I hope that you'll don't either. We purchased some chicken tenders on the 23rd of Dec and they were full of white plastic, we sent pictures, some of us cut our tongue from eating the chicken, we did a claim and it is March and our issue still have not been resolved and I haven't seen any recalls on the product. They told us to keep the product they would send us a container so we could send the product back, I still have the tenders in my freezer. They never sent the container after requesting it 4 times. This is by far the worst grocery store. People every thing that looks good is not always good and this place is definitely one of them. Beware y'all. 1 star is too much for them
Voiced a valid concern to management pertaining to a rude employee and nothing was done, I am a disabled Veteran and was parked in Online parking for easy access because non of the handicap space was available. Black female employee approached my car and banged on my window and demanded I remove my car immediately. Unprofessional.
I honestly like the store but I accidentally gave a cashier to much money and never leaving the parking lot. I went back in and the gum chewing, gum popping diva swore up and down I didn't. I recounted my money again knowing I was correct. Sneaky cashiers work at these stores. Watch yourself. Clearly she felt the need to lie about it.
As someone from Maui, I cringe every time Aldi ads mentions "Aloha savings". What does Aldi have to do with Hawaii? Find some other ad phrase... really. And Hawaii isn't cheap, you ain't saving $#*! there lol. I just find it very cringe. Nothing bad about the store itself but the ad is really stupid and I find it offensive
We've been Aldi's customers for several years. Our main purchases have always been milk, eggs, ice cream, low calorie snacks and diet Green Tea. My comment concerns the diet Green Tea. Two years ago, we found we preferred the tea, in individual bottles, we get from Aldi's rather than the name brand at other grocery stores. It was so good, we would buy 4 cases at a time. However, recently, something has changed with the diet tea. Not only is the Label different, but now it includes 5 calories, where before it was 0 calories. Not only that, the taste, now, has a bad after taste. We, now, make tea at home, instead of drinking the diet Green Tea, all the time, like before. In fact, we didn't buy any diet green tea, at all, today. Please, try to go back to the other recipe.
Bought a 4 lb Cattleman's Ranch bagged corned beef for St. Patty Day, Opened package on the 17th to cook, smelled funny, tried to boil, but meat fell off roast, water turned brown, still smelled funny--thru it out. I think it was improperly stored out of refrigeration and started to spoil. Will not buy again! Like most of their meat products-not very good, some just bad.
I like Aldi I've been shopping for 10 years every week now prices are gone high still you can count on aldi! Many times we get dull quality avacado or milk but when we tell them they refund or exchange for us! And fish. Cheese, chicken always good!
I lobbied, wrote emails, begged, for Aldi to open in our area a few years back, but it's no longer my store. Several reasons. The prices just aren't cheaper any longer. Even more expensive on some stuff. Produce can be old and not last very long in my fridge. And there's almost ALWAYS a wait. It ha to be cheaper to afford all the inconveniences. Otherwise, people won't come. My daughters refuse to do their weekly shopping at Aldi. Im sad.
I've tried their meatballs, frozen fish, cookies, cereal, meat, salame, almost everything. They do cost less but the quality, taste, and flavor also seem less. My final straw was some frozen fish fillets. Smaller, more breading than national brands. Yes, you save a buck or two but clearly inferior. Who has the time to return things? I've concluded, it's not worth my time anymore to shop here. Employees also unhelpful, rude, and useless, frankly. Even Walmart is a better deal - national brands at the lowest prices.
The Aldi in my town is horrible. I have nothing good to say about it—ever. Today I went, and then I walked out. It's 2pm on Saturday, and their shelves are bare and they have one cashier. You end up paying for their cheap products, whether it means they go bad a day after the purchase, or you have to drive to another store because Aldi never has the basics. They should have half&half, and yogurt every single day. If they can't keep those basic staples in stock, then they need to shut down. They push you out the door so fast, you can't even track them ripping you off. I'd rather pay more money for a better and cleaner experience.
I have been shopping at Aldis for 20 years...due to affordable shopping...I am sadly disappointed in their raising of prices... shame on them...everything I purchased yesterday was all higher than previous week...Walmart has matched their prices...hhmmmm...coffee...cornflakes...better fruit...everything is higher...will have to reconsider..
Usually have no issue at aldi in pewaukee but today obviously a worker was not happy to be at work. I watched as a customer two people ahead of me try to engage in fun conversation. Which she was not having... when it was my turn. I got to enjoy her attitude... its a shame customer service is not a focus anymore...
Hopefully the worker with the short dyed red hair sees this and checks herself on how she treats customers that choose to spend their hard earned money at aldi
I was skeptical at first... why do I need a quarter? Where are the bags? But then, I saw the difference. Excellent prices on organic food, which means I can now eat more than one cup of food per day. I haven't run out since Aldi came to town. The staff is paid well, given seats and are very happy. I can now get avocados and organic frozen fruit for smoothies, everyday. The selection could grow, I'm a little disappointed that there's organic milk, but not half and half. Why would you want pesticides, chemicals and pus in your half and half if you didn't want it in your milk? Aside from thatthat, they have special weird deals, like I was saving for over a year to get an 8" memory foam mattress, I had a weird last minute decision to go to aldi. I found one and only one, 8" memory foam mattress, in twin, the only size I could use. It was half the price, so I got it. I have severe degenerative joint disease. Since then, my pain is reduced by at least 60%. Thank you Aldi!
In less than 3 months we have bought Hummus at ALDI'S that grew mold inside of it before we opened it! Twice as nice is the brand. The store refunded our money without argument but obviously there must be some uncleanness at the factory. We also saw a pizza in a refrigerated case that had mold growing inside the wrapper. Don't remember the brand but it was this year same store. We really like the store chain. The prices are great. The Meats are good. The veggies need to be used quickly or they go bad faster than other stores but other stores carry produce picked too green in my opinion. Maybe the issue with mold is with this one store only and it's handling of refrigerated products. It is in Dunellon FL.
After being a satisfied customer on price values I had opportunity to look at Aldi in another way. The employee aspects of Aldi was very negative to my expectations. After an application was submitted for warehouse associate by high school educated individual and a recent college graduate. The interviewer let college graduate know they were move forward with other applicant. Unfortunately they look for in hire on as a possible long term employee in the position instead of a satisfied employee who could grow in the company. Satisfied employees and growth within creates growth overall for a company. Best wishes to all who encounter the bad seed in a wonderful Apple
