Many Aldi's are now implementing a digital prison in order to enter their stores.
Many REQUIRE a digital app on your phone or a scan to a QR code in order to enter.
Anyone without one, will not be able to shop there...Boycott Aldi's now and send a clear message that you will not be 'enslaved' to the 'mark of the beast'.
Target, Budweiser, Kohls, Goodyear, lost sales upon this 'woke' philophecy.
Now add Aldi's to that list...We will not comply!

Bait and Switch con
November 9, 2023

Aldi runs a weekly ad this week (11/8) with Prime Rib $7.99 a pound. Tenderloin roasts for $10.99 a pound but at 5:00 pm the second day of the sale they are sold out. You cannot call the store because they claim to reduce costs they reduce staff. The Victoria Tx store has 2 young boys running the entire supermarket with one on checkout. I am sick and tired of ALDIs fake sales to lure you in the store so they are dead to me from now on.

Thieves at Aldi
August 12, 2023

Be careful when you pay cash. My change was stolen when I paid cash at store #127 in Smyrna,DE by a cashier name Kirstin. Honesty should be the priority in these kind of stores but unfortunately they lack of it. If this kind of practices are done by these cashiers, it is a big lump sum stolen from their costumers at the end of each day. That's totally unethical and unlawful. I will never ever go back to that store ever again. Be aware! And Yes, $2.50 are $2.50.

Yuck. Their fruit goes bad in days, and when my mother made something with cabbage the cabbage tasted like dirt. Once we had fruit... IT LASTED FOR SIX DAYS! Aldi's just isn't a good place to go to. :(

My wife works at Aldi in Seffner, Fl. Hurricane Ian came through and left us without power. The day after the hurricane, my wife was scheduled to work the next 2 days after the hurricane. Aldi did not lose power or receive any damage from the storm but felt the need to close for those 2 days. Aldi also decided that no one would receive pay for those 2 days, but everyone can work when the store reopened. Many stores like Walmart right across the street, Dollar Stores, & convenience stores were open since the day after the hurricane and it was a mad house. So upon losing pay at no fault of her own, my wife has been trying to eat, and figure out how she can go to work on Sat with out a shower because we have no power. We are not getting power until Monday... almost a week after the Hurricane.

I've been looking for a friend for a microwave egg boiler for some time. I was delighted when I found them recently on Aldi's shelves for $3. I bought two egg boilers as gifts and one little egg boiler spatula to go with it.

The first person didn't want the gift, which I'm happy for now. Because when I tried to use it at 3 minutes the egg yolk was nowhere close to done. I have a 1000 W microwave, the max it says you can use on the instructions. So I upped it to the 5-minute level - it was still not done. Holding my breath and hoping not to hear the sizzle sizzle from aluminum foil or metal inside a microwave, I did it for 7 minutes. Not only was the egg not done, but that was the last time my microwave would work, two or three days ago. We have unplugged it, plugged it back in reset all the settings, and still the heater will not work. The warranty on the heater says they will have someone come out for $200 plus tax and maybe fix it.

Or, as we have opted, we will have to replace the entire microwave for about $346. Very dissatisfied customer. Obviously, both egg boilers and the spatula are going back, but $10 will not touch $346. Thanks a lot!

I complained to their manager/cashier that a dog was in the cart and she said to just keep shopping and then became angry when I said that a dog's $#*! in a shopping cart was disgusting. She said I should not talk to her like that and then refused to check us out. Then when I returned to retrieve the two shopping bags I forgot she called the police and refused to tell me where the bags were until another customer pointed them out. Obviously, she wanted the police to arrive before I could find the bags.

Today I brought in so many bags that people can use and will help us be save on the environment.

I wanted to donate these plastic and paper bags from so many stores. And the first worker acted dumbfounded and said ugh ok … so I started putting them on the counter (like at the other grateful Aldi store) and she laughed and said they need to be in a box.

So I got a box. Then another woman came up and said we just throw them away at the end of the day. After I had boxed them up.

I'm in shock! It's almost 7p. I have lived in other parts of Missouri and they happily took them. I'm always looking for a sack at this location and there NEVER is one. Must be a bad area.

They pretended to be nice. The one woman said Walmart recycles them.

What in the world! I am very disappointed in this Aldi! Sadly they could have given a better excuse.

I am trying to help others while helping the environment.

So sad!

They have good prices but this company treats their employees like garbage. I worked there for three months and I made an honest mistake and immediately got fired. They didn't give me any warnings or anything and they denied my unemployment because Aldi said it was misconduct. I'm still fighting months later for the backpay. Honestly it would've been a lot easier on them if they just kept me and trained me. But then they fire me and deny my unemployment. I've always been a good employee so this is just insane to me they are pulling this. Everyone I've talked to said they agree with me so hopefully they will when I finally get my hearing.

I bring my own bag, I scan all the items, I bag all the items, I bring back the cart from my car to the cart area. Am I an employee or a customer? This will only work if buying a few items, not the reason most people shop at Aldi. They lost me for a customer.

Self scanners!
January 12, 2024

I gave Aldi's a 2 star rating would have given them a better rating but since putting in self scanners long lines only one register with an actual person checking customers out and if someone has problems with self check out the person who is checking you out has to leave and help the self check out! Come on Aldi's you use to take pride on how fast your check out lines were! Not anymore!

Overcharged
April 24, 2022

ALDIs on Corunna charged me for a plant I did not buy. I did not come home with it either. I tried calling them but they have no phone number. When you call the number they tell you they don't have a number for customers to call and to use the website. I have to go back to the store to talk to someone. I'm really not happy!

Aldi has saved me lots of money. It is a discount food store, with great prices, and quality goods. I enjoy this store, and of course, saving money. Take your own bags, or they offer bags for a minimal cost. Yes, you bag your own goods, but it is well worth the extra money saved.

The problem with Aldi's is not the pricing. It's the selection and the fact that products you become accustomed to will suddenly vanish Without explanation. There are some products that I really enjoy there. Such as oatmeal coffee, coffee, chocolate, and ice cream, as well as bread and lunch meat.

I've been shopping at Aldi for as long as I can remember but in recent years I've been shopping there a whole lot more! The quality of the food has gotten much better and ever since they re-modeled my local store, they provided a larger selection of products to choose from. I get some of my staple groceries there such as bread, spring mix (which is amazing), deli meat, granola bars, bottled water, and frozen veggies for quick meals. Their organic line is also very tasty and reasonably priced, I absolutely love their Simply Nature multigrain tortilla chips! Almost all their off-brand products I've tried are close to indistinguishable from brand names, which they also provide a little of. I live right by the store and can always take my time shopping unless it's super busy! I always look forward to re-stocking anything I need from there, absolutely a money saver and a fun place to shop and try new things.

It didnt last long
July 13, 2015

Ive been using aldi since it pretty much broke onto the markets and have always shopped there, However that old profit over quality issue has finally started showing its face in aldi stores, It wasnt long ago that you could get quality foods in aldi, Normally from carrefour (french hypermarkets) which was very good quality, and the fruit was always first class.
Now its changed, The fruit and veg (and i buy a lot) i get is now tasteless and goes off in a couple of days, I went last week and didnt even buy any because of its appearence.
No longer is their any tinned food or cooked meats of quality, It has been replaced my cheap, very cheap B food.
Like i said Aldi used to be very good but from now on its bk to Asda for me, Aldi was good while it lasted then they like many others got greedy.

The last 2 big holidays, Memorial Day & 4th of July, Aldi's has advertised 5lb 73/27 hamburger for $2.29lb. Every store I visit on the first day of the sale, ( 2) & call (4 more) say the same thing. They did not get the shipment, or We had it yesterday (day 1), but it sold out quick. (I believe that is a lie) This is false advertising to bring the customers in so they buy at the $2.99 price. Every store in the northern Tampa Florida area with the same lame excuse. If you're going to run a special for a big holiday have enough to fill your customer's needs. Not 1 case per store or none at all.

Self checkouts
May 19, 2023

I was just in your Plano Illinois store an the checkout had four new self checkout machines installed. I for one think you can keep them nothing beats talking to a live person while checking out. This will be the last time I go to any Aldi store with self checkout it takes jobs away and poor customer service. I would rather pay a little more to keep people working so I will be going to our locate grocery store in the future.

Bad customer service
September 4, 2022

It showed online a slip and slide in stock. So instead of having it delivered I went to the store so the kids could use it today. I was told it's probably in the back and hasn't been out out. So I'm standing there, the item I want is there but I guess I'm not worth going and getting it so I can purchase.
