I purchased an All-American 5 stage reverse osmosis system with permeate pump. Upon startup total dissolved solids, TDS, went from 288 to 86 parts per million. I thought should have done much better, perhaps in the 10 to 20 parts per million range. Directions to install we're fairly good, but they did not supply any elbows or other fittings for the various size lines. As a result, the various water lines ranging in size from 1/4 inch to 3/8 of an inch looks like spaghetti because you must have large radius turns for any directional changes. I also did not like the plastic structure upon which the filters are mounted because it is flexible, Bends easily and is weak;. My guess is this will crack in the future as cheap plastic normally does. All in all, it's slightly above-average reverse osmosis system in terms of performance and ease of installation. The wastewater, or brine out discharge line, was supplied with fairly enough length to make it to the discharge piping!
The positives are that they have exceptional staff and help, including instructional videos available online, and one can be assured that the quality of the products will not contaminate the water because it is not made in China or overseas in which they do not operate under the same set of material standards and manufacturing requirements per us law. Would I purchase this product again, yes I would, but it does have some deficiencies and it is clearly not a five Star product. Is it above average, yes. Long-term performance will guide me as to whether or not this long-term rating changes over time.
