I purchased a ton of equipment for my company (many different lenses) and mistakenly ordered a wrong lens a Fuji lens instead of a Sony. Adorama lost the lens and could not locate, they did end up issuing a refund but only after about 1.5 months. The kicker is when they returned the money for the warranty for the lens they actually cancelled the warranty for a Sony lens which I never returned because it was the correct lens. I have been going back forth and now I have a cancelled warranty for a lens I have and also have a warranty for a lens I returned. I purchased over $15k in equipment last year and need to make a similar purchase this year and this situation has pushed me to move my business.
I ordered the Fujifilm X A7 through Adorama and purchased the premium package!
It was nice because everything was set and wasn't a headache to find things.
Only thing, the camera bag that was included in the premium package was backordered so I don't have information on when that part of the package will arrive.
Company was super anxious to send me call tags for 7 big cases of old photography equipment. They made it sound like they would look the wide variety of vintage equipment I sent them. Some cool old stuff some not. They contacted me and said they couldn't use anything. I had moved and couldn't take it back. They said they would give it to a school or something I said fine please send me a charitible receipt for taxes and they said no. So all gone and nothing to show. I would go with better business rating.
I have a verified student account with Adorama. I talked with them about trading in my Sony A72 with lens and was offered $500. However, another company offered me $745. Then Adorama offered me 600, then 650 and finally told me they would match the other company's offer. However, when I sent it in they claimed there was a scratch on the camera screen and only offered me 600. I know for a fact that the camera was in mint condition and there were no scratches on it or on the lens. When I complained, he offered me another $50. I felt really disrespected and will not do business with them again. Beware of this behavior, especially if you are trying to trade. This is not a good way to treat customers. I understand they want to make a profit but they shouldn't insult their customers to do it.
Great people to work with part of order came thru postal system and was stolen from mailbox called to tell them not to ship thru postal people didn't ask for replacement but a few days later a replacement came UPS.
My order came exactly as determined and everything was packaged securely! Excited to start using my new equipment soon. Will be ordering from Adorama again in the future!
Great and beautiful speakers. Little problem with delivery... protective styrofoam in original packaging is totally broken... 4 metal plates for standing bottom is missing.
I have started using Adorama mostly due to their return policies and they use UPS instead of FEDEX.
They usually have items I want in stock. I like their VIP program. Have saved money on shipping and with earned points.
The flashpoint xplor 600 is an excellent strobe. Wicked fast recycle time, modeling light and powerful! I almost accidently bought the non-ttl version as the description is confusing *see attached. If you're purchasing the xplor 600, also get a C stand if you don't already have one; don't put an expensive strobe on a cheap/flimsy stand, especially on a boom arm. Watch videos/tutorials on setting up the light; I had a problem with the unit always switching to multi-mode after one shot, but think I have it sorted out now. I would upload sample photos, but a 5mb file size limit is much too small
I decided to study photography. In the courses we started to practice and I needed a camera. A classmate advised me to order a camera from the Adorama online store. On their website I read the specifications and chose the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 Instant Film Camera, Terracotta Orange.When the camera was delivered to me, I took a few photos and was delighted.
I really desired to like Adorama, but I can't suggest them at all because I have had problems with both of my past purchases through Adorama and the owner’s attitude and the customer support team service has been very cold and annoying.
I purchased a Canon Pixma P110 with a battery. Everything seems to work great. Have to admit the set-up was a bear... the instructions did not work for my wireless router and I needed to phone a friend. Just learning how airprint works so part of it is me! Thanks for the quick delivery - I appreciate it!
It's hard to say anything about Adorama that isn't merely a gushing rave. They are WONDERFUL. Fabulous customer service (if you ever have a problem, just contact Helen Oster, their "Customer Service ambassador" who seems to be online 24/7 and always available to troubleshoot), huge selection of gear and great prices.
Very happy many-time customer - can't recommend highly enough.
These guys can't even send you a new undamaged 249.00 item. Dealing with them is not easy either. If I could give them a -0 I would. Take your money elsewhere.
Ordered a cam light from them. Never received it. Called UPS, they couldn't locate package. Called xusromer service, they claimed it would take 10ndays to trace package. Just a fiasco. Terrible experience, that I won't be repeating. Pictures are from July 25th, 2022, 6:40PM. Still no package
We received an add from Adorama that they were selling a AVRS960H - AV RECEIVER for $399 with free shipping. Well this through up a flag because Denon sells them for $799. So, I started checking reviews about them and there were too many about terrible customer service. So, then I called Dennon and asked them if Adorama was an authorized seller and they said no. They also said that they might not cover the warranty because of that. I do know that Denon sells the same model that has been refurbished for $599. I called Adorama to ask them if the unit was a Refurb and they said no. Then I asked them how they were able to sell a new unit for $399 and they said that they received a rebate from Denon. Since they are not a reseller, this can't be true. Now the red flag was really up. In the end I did not buy it due to too many unresolved issues with them.
I ordered a C-Stand with a 40" boom arm and then an extra boom arm and a hard drive. Everything arrived on the delivery date, but when I unboxed the C-Stand the boom arm that was supposed to be packed in wasn't there. Very frustrating.

I called this one guy today from Adorama the company and I got tansfered to this one guy and put me on hold. And then said he'd call back and so I got two calls and voicemails from him and he calls me now and was kind of aggressive. I was like off by it and he sounded adamant like hey we will hold this camera for you and he was like huh he sent you a label last week and I was like oh I thought he was sending it to me bc that what he said and I told him I lost my voice and he's like go ahead and we hung up. And I just have a bad feeling about it.
Yamaha has been around for quite some time and I have always enjoyed the sound that this product has given me over the years so I'd like to thank the makers of such a product with an awesome sound
Package shows up 4 days later than scheduled delivery. Box is beat up torn open and taped over by presumably ups. The package is missing the main item. Now adorama is telling me I have to wait for ups to finish their investigation before anything else can proceed. This may take up to ten days. THIS IS AN ISSUE BETWEEN ADORAMA AND UPS LEAVE ME OUT OF IT AND SEND ME WHAT I ORDERED. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from this place in the last year alone and this is how I get treated.
Customer service is a joke. The first person I was e-mailing regurgitated the info on ups website over and over and over as I was trying to at least go pick up the package that was 3 days late at that time.
The second series of e-mail, the person never even read the actual issue and had no idea that I was missing an item after 7 hours of back and forth e-mails. This person wanted me to send back an EMPTY box.
This has been the most frustrating online purchase I have ever made.
